What is IBM Robotic Process Automation?

The IBM® Robotic Process Automation offering helps automate more business and IT processes at scale with the ease and speed of traditional RPA. Software robots, or bots, can act on AI insights to complete tasks with no lag time and enable the user to achieve digital transformation.

Typical RPA benefits include the ability to 1) reduce human error, 2) accelerate time to value, 3) increase throughput, and 4) reduce costs. IBM Robotic Process Automation enables workforce augmentation by performing repetitive tasks, acting on data extracted from unstructured documents, and conversing with intelligent chatbots using text and voice response.

In addition, IBM Robotic Process Automation helps clients apply intelligence to classify and understand content, prioritize tasks, make predictive decisions and apply AI to operational data. Core automation features enable users to manage work along with monitoring and reporting capabilities.

Finally, organizations can accelerate time to value by creating, testing and deploying new automation schemes in hours, instead of days or months.

We have automated many of our processes using this tool, as this is affordable and drives better results than other tools in the market(yeah, we tried many). We used this on our customer support chatbot, and it was able to solve many small queries, which decreased cost and wait time. We have also automated our logs monitoring, and RPA is also taking actions based on it, using AI, which is very helpful and keeps the system up and running.

Our experience with IBM Robotic Process Automation was favorable from the beginning since the ease of use and the user experience is impressive, and its implementation had no delays or inconveniences. We solve problems automatically, and with the help of bot programming, we reduce hours of manual work, reduce errors by human personnel and streamline our internal processes with great efficiency in the final results.

We are building and automating application approval systems to avoid hiring untrained staff for the job, we automatically triage applications with bots designed to triage emailed application information for hires from all departments but all from a central classification system. This is just one use of IBM Robotic Process Automation, we also interact with clients remotely without wasting a single minute with remote work bots, we have a bot for each task and department that requires it, sometimes there are more than 10 bots for each department as required, in my human resources department we are using more than 8 bots and it is necessary to create another one for financial classification purposes.

We know that RPA services can be a necessary investment to significantly improve the tasks and jobs that are being carried out in our facilities and in the cloud. These jobs must be automated with IBM bots in order to obtain the desired performance. Currently, the impact these on-premises automation have on performance is much less in cloud deployments; In the facilities, we have only implemented a few bots, but in the cloud, we have already managed to automate almost 65% of the tasks; this translates into savings in working hours and in the budget allocated to a large number of applications.

IBM Robotic process automation provides us with very good acceleration to process our tasks, as this tool helps us to set up automation for repetitive tasks. Moreover, RPA has a very low-coding environment and provides us the drag-and-drop option to handle and set up things easily as compared to other RPA tools.

It's helped automate some of manual repetitive tasks. For instance, it's helped us automate the Purchase Order creation process. Now end users can simply fill out a template and submit it to the BOT for processing rather than requiring individuals to process via email. It's also helped facilitate the storing of documents (i.e storing incoming CVs in a specific folder).

As currently working in an Automation Department , there are various opportunities where we get the chance to know more about and RPA tool . As we know the trend of unattended automation is increasing day by day, the competition of RPA automation have also increased with various brand with different features and facalities along with the cost pricing. The automation bot basically used for unattended human intervention within a process

We use IBM RPA mainly to automate and stadardize our workflows on the supply chain, inventory, logistics, and warehousing sides. Before we started using it, we didn't have a system to manage these areas in a standardized way, wherea now, all of our intake, data entry, dispatch, etc., processes are more streamlined and error-free.

We used IBM products for IBM Robotic Process Automation to help automate some of our financial accounting process related workflows. For financial operational processes that were relatively repetitive and had high volume of entries, we utilized robotic process automation to automate these processes. These included part of our weekly reconciliations, accounts payable automation, and reporting processes.

IBM RPA is very scalable tool that allows us to scale our automation efforts according to our organisation needs. I appreciate this tool can accommodate both small and large-scale deployments. IBM RPA provides valuable insights into process bottlenecks, exceptions, and overall automation effectiveness, enabling organisation to identify areas of improvements. This tool supports continuous improvements through analytics and the ability to make iterative changes to automation workflows. Seamless integrations with other IBM solutions and wide range of third-party apps which enables end-to-end automation across heterogeneous systems. Also its a great tool for making data-driven decisions easly.

We are using this product for Supplier's bill passing and costing master data updation in SAP.

Supplier send the file with attached on specified email.

IBM Robotic Process Automation reads the supplier attached file from email with OCR and take out supplier code, PO number, and matches with SAP master data.

Based on above matching system pass the invoice in case of there is a mismatch then admin receive the exception email

As a senior system engineer I had a good experience with IBM Robotic Process Automation, It is efficient to collect and analyze the large data without any delay or distortion. Also It is mostly utilized in client's services in all our departments to reduce response times and ensure that the bots function properly based on the demands of each department. The management and revenue teams also uses chatbots, but for a very different purpose—to produce reports of the tasks completed during the week. The HR division has also implemented a sizable number of intelligent chatbots for the sole use of clients in various messaging platforms and even in internal tools.

We use it to automate repetitive tasks we usually did with Excel, mainly related to procure to pay and HR processes. A good example is the invoice data to be inserted through our Internet banking or the employees' timesheet to be validated with the payroll. We use RPA instead of developing an integration because in this way the end users are autonomous in the automation creation.

We are working with dealers (# is more than two thousand) and all the purchasing that comes from them adds up to at least a million to a year. When we start to work with IIBM Robotic Process Automation, we have defined first basic movements and then advanced movements to act in certain situations. Right now, it eases the manual work a lot.

Mainly IBM Robotic Process Automation is used in customer service in more than five departments to solve the response time, to ensure that the bots run correctly depending on each department according to their specific needs. The human resources department has implemented a significant number of intelligent chatbots for the exclusive use of clients in different messaging platforms and even in internal tools, also the accounting department uses chatbots but for a very different use, it is used to generate reports of the tasks performed during the week. To end my comment I would like to add that thanks to this software we can distribute the work in a functional way and with high productivity rates.

So far nothing beats this automation tool, it is capable of carrying out very complex processes, even though they are quite large, leaving us satisfied with the company, as well as our satisfied customers. Now we have full performance, we save time and thus money because the staff to pay is smaller and with less risk of task failures. The software has an excellent automatic super advanced intelligence that reduces all the efforts of any human without fear of mistakes. In the organization we use it for the construction of robots with different characteristics for the taste of each client.

We are using RPA to streamline our operations, reduce costs, and improve efficiency. The areas that we are using RPA are data entry, form filling, data validation, and document management. Once we have identified the processes to automate, we can use IBM RPA to design, test, and deploy software robots to perform these tasks.IBM RPA addresses several business problems, including:
  • Improving operational efficiency: Automating manual tasks with RPA can reduce errors and increase the speed of work, freeing up employees to focus on higher-value tasks.
  • Enhancing customer experience: Automating processes such as order fulfillment, customer service, and complaint resolution can improve customer satisfaction and experience.
  • Reducing costs: Automating manual tasks can reduce labor costs, increase efficiency, and improve productivity.
