Both money and time are essential for success in terms of return on investment for any kind of research based project work. Using a Likert-scale questionnaire is very easy for data entry and analysis using IBM SPSS. With the help of IBM SPSS, I found very fast and reliable data entry and data analysis for my research. Output from SPSS is very easy to interpret for data analysis and findings.

While I'd encourage my students to use more softwares that are readily available and are likely to be part of the future in organizations, SPSS is ultimately more accessible to novices, particularly when coursework needs to focus more on content than software training. Many older faculty will continue to lobby for SPSS, continuing its purchase at the university level.

SPSS is a very specific software that does a job few softwares can do. It works well and does the job. Because there is not a lot to compare it to I don't have many options to look at other than it. However, it is the tool most all graduate students use and because of that I will continue to use it.

I am comfortable with the interface and confident in running analysis and exploring new analyses. I have explored other programs that do not come at a cost such as R studio, otherwise I would rank it a 10. SPSS certainly is my preference over other similar programs (eg. JMP).

It is essential for performing research. Other programs (e.g., STATA, SAS) work too but are less intuitive for the user. The drop-down menus and easy to understand formatting make this program favored by many researchers. There are also custom dialogues that can be added for those desiring more advanced features and functionality.

I am completely satisfied with SPSS. It is software that is "larger" than my needs so that as I grow, it is always prepared to provide what I need. It is accessible and with the prevalent support available, it makes sense to continue the integration of SPSS into my future practice.

Simply put, IBM SPSS Statistics provides the best for all the worlds my employer operates in. It is simple for the beginners, but quite capable for the advanced users. Overall, it is the only software that meets our needs.

Despite the output and graphics shortcomings, the ease of use and intuitive design leaves SPSS as one of my top choices for statistical packages. Additionally, the easier use of the variable view (as compared to other packages) cuts down on the the need for multiple data files (variable code sheet + data file(s) + instrument file ) when running a project. It is a win-win when the client feels like he/she can understand how to read the output easily.
