IBM SPSS Statistics

Actually, contacted support is very crucial for any usage of software. Since IBM SPSS is reputed company software, its support should be up to the mark. From my point of view, it terms of "contacted support", it was interesting to me . I hope it will more updated in the future as well.

The turnaround time wasn't the fastest, but then I didn't expect it to be. They got back to me in a timely manner, with additional resources that were also very helpful. If they were quicker, I would've rated them 10 but honestly, their support team is great. The readily available resources are also very helpful.

The only times I've ever had to contact support has been when updating a software license. The product is locked down to ensure that you don't install it on more computers than allowed, and we've had issues in the past with transferring licenses to new computers or when upgrading to a new version of the software. The support team has always been able to help, but it's frustrating to have to wait to get it up and running. Its been a while since we've had an issue like this though, so they may have resolved the issues around licensing.

Support was able to help me with the issue I was having within a reasonable amount of time and they were friendly while helping the entire time.

There is a lot of information online for SPSS and the help section is quite extensive. I have not had to reach out to support at SPSS, but the tools and help available online have meant that I have been able to resolve my questions without needing to reach out.

Some of the knowledge base answers are either circular or just not very useful. Others refer to OLD versions making it difficult to see whether the problem I have is still relevant to the current version.

I have never used IBM support for problems. I have, however found help searching on their web page for solutions to my problems. The manual provides detail to explain how to complete analyses with print screens to show you where items are on the tool bar.

Over the years I have had my issues with the software and the helpdesk has ALWAYS come through for me in as quick a time as you could have! A++ for their level of skill and professionalism.

I have not contacted IBM SPSS for support myself. However, our IT staff has for trying to get SPSS Text Analytics Module to work. The issue was never resolved, but I'm not sure if it was on the IT's end or on SPSS's end.
