iCIMS would probably be best suited for larger organizations that already have a great system/process outlined and in place for talent acquisition. For those of us in smaller businesses who are just standing up our function, may be too convoluted to make a quick positive mark on what we are building - feels like it's adding more complexity instead of simplifying, which is what we were looking for.

iCIMS Talent Cloud is fantastic for large-scale recruiting. Especially when it is in a difficult recruiting field (e.g. IT, or Healthcare). It probably wouldn't be that efficient for a small - mid-sized company. The system could be useful for smaller companies if there was a less complex system for them (maybe cheaper too).

  • Well suited for receiving and managing the workflow of applications.
  • Not well suited for internal sourcing (ie: searching through applications/profiles we have on file - search function algorithms are poor).
  • Not well suited for multi-location, nationwide, or fully remote searches (talent pool notifications are bound to the geographic radius of a specific city and you cannot assign "remote" as a location).

I think iCIMS Talent Cloud is a great tool to use for smaller companies that may not have that many locations. As previously mentioned we had looked at implementing the Onboard tool but ultimately determined it would not work for us. We are spread out in all 50 states. If we would just have offices in a couple of states, I think we would have been able to move forward with the tool. Also as mentioned, I do think it is an easy system to use. However it isn't like a Success Factors where there are multiple suites that are all housed under the same HRIS. There isn't a talent management feature or org chart system to just name a few examples.

Very good for handling multiple clients with a wide variety of deadlines, needs, and demands. The level of customization is one of its greatest strengths. For a very small business, there may be too many functions and lately, the support team has been very busy increasing turnaround time on tickets, so you should have an admin that can be as self-sufficient as possible.

I would say we have experienced the most success where a small team has supported a large number of hiring managers over a large geographic area effectively. A relatively small team can use the platform to support a large group as well as manage the influx of a large volume application scenarios. Also, iCIMS Talent Cloud's social distribution is well suited to job fairs and campaigns to supply information to many people with a small concerted effort.

iCIMS is very well suited for an Information Technology consulting company. Information Technology consulting companies require a comprehensive applicant tracking system to efficiently and effectively grow their organizations. One extremely important component of this ATS (and all ATS) is a robust employee referral component, making it as accessible as possible to current employees to encourage employee referrals. iCIMS is too expensive for smaller organizations.

iCIMS Talent Acquisition Software Suite is extremely well suited for a company that finds itself in a position of processing a high number of job applicants, either for their own company or, like our company, as an Executive Search firm. The software would be less appropriate for companies that don't process too many job candidates at once.

The experienced Senior Recruiters in our organization say that iCIMS Talent Cloud is the most all-encompassing Applicant Tracking Software they have used thus far which I believe speaks a lot. I cannot picture any scenario where the products are not suited; the options available for different organizations seem to be versatile.

It is a great no fuss applicant tracking system. I really like the acquisition of text recruit. I think texting candidates is more effective than calling them. It helps in setting up interviews and asking them to do something in iCIMS like accept the offer letter or complete onboarding tasks.

iCIMS is well suited for robust candidate selection. It really helps you capture all details of a potential candidate in order to hire the best candidate for a position. I can't think of any time it would be less appropriate. It's highly configurable and can be implemented to fit your company's exact needs.

It's best for quick-pace and high-volume recruiting processes. iCIMS can get you up and running relatively quickly so you can onboard folks in matter of weeks!

Might be a bit challenging for complex corporate environments, the examples of the need to tailor many scenarios/exceptions for example approval workflows that are automated depending on the attributes of the requisition, etc.
