iCIMS is used by our talent acquisition team to track all recruitment activities. We advertise over and hire for 1200 openings a year through the system. We also track key metrics such as time to fill. The system allows us to provide detailed reporting on the Talent Acquisition function throughout the organization.

This is a top of the line software for any recruiting team. I have gone to market several times over the years and each time, iCIMS continues to come out on top. For any organization that does high volume recruiting, this is your best choice. I suppose if a single system for all HR activities are a must, then this would not be the right choice. iCIMS integrates well with most major HRIS systems but they are still a standalone recruitment tool.

We use iCIMS Talent Cloud as a recruiting ATS and retention matrix tool. We use it on both external and internal placements. iCIMS Talent Cloud helps us address retention in the construction industry that we are facing today. It pairs nicely with LinkedIn and other hiring platforms. From previously using Salesforce for recruiting, this is a big step up and improvement to our recruiting efforts.
  • Tracks Applicant status in regards to current application and previous applications.
  • Allows flawless integrations between iCIMS Talent Cloud and our current HCM/HRIS.
  • Gives good metrics/graphs of open/closed jobs.
  • It is a little difficult to track internal applicants that are already active with our company.
  • Some of the fields when hiring an employee are a little difficult to change.
  • Not a sure way of identifying "eligible for rehire" within iCIMS for those that re-apply.
iCIMS Talent Cloud is a great applicant tracking system that allows users to easily identify qualified candidates with built in AI platforms. iCIMS's text recruit is a very helpful tool that allows easy communication from recruiter/admin to candidate, without using personal cell phones on the admin side. This is the day and age that we live in so this is a very appropriate add on.

Using iCIMS has allowed us to be more organized and informed throughout the hiring process of each of our new employees.

  • Cooperates with our databases.
  • Exporting data to excel is not easy for the common user.
  • Notifications for users could be more noticeable.
  • Being able to “complete” someone in your onboarding even if a coworker has something they didn’t check off, but you know it’s done.
iCIMS is appropriate for companies that hire and onboard a lot of employees. The ability to separate by different generalists and allow each to process and track their own employees is helpful in being more efficient and effective in the Human Resources department. Any company that does basic applicant tracking could use this platform.

iCIMS is being used by managers in all locations across Canada, as well as a team of recruiters. We use it for recruiting. Hiring Managers will create the job posting, recruiters will post to our job boards, manage administration and account settings, help with filtering resumes, moving candidates through the system, etc.
  • Targets a larger candidate pool and attracts more candidates.
  • Integrates with other systems we are using (Sterling Backcheck, onboarding, etc.).
  • Allows us to separate banners within the same system.
  • Issues with social media and how cities with hyphenations appear. For example, Sainte-Hubert, Qc, shows up as Hubert-Sainte which does not yield any candidates.
  • Ticket response time is extremely slow - often have to wait more than 3 weeks for an answer, or have to call in to get the information that we need.
  • Went through several account manager changes with no notification.
  • System is not as user-friendly as sales team would have us believe.
  • We had indicated an interest in some other functionality (text recruit, integration with Sterling BackCheck, etc.) with no follow-up from iCIMS after over a year.
Excellent for posting jobs and reaching a broader audience. Applicant quality is overall fairly decent. The ability to integrate with other systems is excellent. Also looking forward to trying out other functions such as text recruit and virtual job fairs, onboarding, etc.

Not as effective for social media. The process of using social media to post jobs is cumbersome and doesn't have the ability to post on all sites. Could be better.

iCIMS Talent Cloud is used across our entire organization for 20 locations. We have between 350-450 open positions at any given time, so it allows us to manage requisitions and candidate activity. We also utilize the TextRecruit functionality within iCIMS Talent Cloud, which is very helpful.
  • TextRecruit - Easy to use and documents conversations right on profiles.
  • Dashboard - Configurable and presents information concisely
  • iForms - [I feel] This is not user-friendly at all. The candidate experience suffers in this space. [In my experience] They go from a nice, clean experience to a clunky form on a different platform. I have complained many times about this (along with other clients) and there seems to be no plan to overhaul this.
  • [I feel] Auto-launch actions need to be set up by iCIMS Talent Cloud IT - In our previous system, I had 95% control of our workflow. Now, I have to stop, ask for help, and hope their support team responds within the same week.
  • Support - [In my experience] Very poor response times. Details of the original issue do not publish in the responses so you have to log in to get the full picture again, since it is usually a week after the original submission that they reply.
  • I have contact with a salesperson, but there is no "customer success" account manager that provides solutions or best practices. I have asked, but it hasn't been delivered.
  • Poor implementation - I think it was solely the person to who we were assigned. It was not a good match.
Overall, it is a fine ATS. We are able to manage candidates and requisitions fine. But we aren't able to take it to the next level. Disappointed in how the base system doesn't provide a good way to continue outreach to candidates - there is a lot of leg work and reports that need run to accomplish this. Unfortunately, we would have to spend more money to get additional functionality, but being a not-for-profit we aren't able to do that at this point.

I wish I had more control of our Workflow. Unfortunately, I have to depend on customer support for too much. And reaching them in a timely manner [I feel] is nearly impossible.

Our implementation specialist was not a good experience. The individual [I feel] was not a good trainer or project manager and our go-live suffered because of it. However, iCIMS Talent Cloud did provide us with a complementary optimization, which we had the best project manager for that endeavor and happy with the end product.

Hoping our salesperson will eventually come through and partner us with a customer success manager that will truly want to see us succeed and maximize the system we are in contract with.

We use iCIMS Talent Cloud in our sales department for recruiting. It was purchased to use for an ATS and CRM to house and move candidates through our talent process in a way that creates a better user and candidate experience. It was also purchased to link with outside vendors for background information.
  • The platform itself is user friendly as long as you don't configure it.
  • The program scrapes to a large number of job boards.
  • The technical support team is really good.
  • CSM - there is no consistent support. We have not had the same support person for more than a couple of months.
  • The reports are incredibly difficult to run or understand.
  • They charge for everything - nothing is included. You will be signing new contracts every 5 minutes.
iCIMS Talent Cloud is great for a company that does not require additional information and just needs a place to house candidates. I would also say small companies of less than 50 that are hiring just a few people a year so you don't have to configure anything. A company needs to have a technical person available to work on this product all of the time.

We use iCIMS recruit to host our careers pages and process candidate transactions (statuses). It is being used by CFA, Inc and a couple of other entities. It is not used by our independent contractor-owned restaurants. iCIMS allow us to receive new candidates, communicate with them via email, process their application, etc.

iCIMS is utilized throughout the organization. We implemented last December and the experience has been awesome. iCIMS customer service is outstanding. Recently our dedicated technical support analyst was out on a leave and iCIMS quickly provided a different resource for us. The system is very user friendly. We switched from another software that had numerous candidate access issues. With iCIMS those issues are very few and far between.

We use iCIMS Talent Cloud for the entire organization from hiring hourly assembly workers through senior executives. We utilize it to standardize the hiring process across the organization as well as to ensure government compliance and that we are meeting all of our goals in the recruitment space. All of the tools in the system help us create a quality candidate experience.

We are using the recruiting side throughout the whole company. The only issue we currently have is the turnaround for the help desk tickets we submit.
  • Configuration - we are able to configure it to meet our business needs.
  • User friendly - I feel it is easy to use and we are able to roll it out with minimal training for our field
  • System availability - we have limited to almost no issues with the system being slow or not available during business hours.
  • Offer reporting - the offer reports are not available for schedule reporting. This limits what we are able to send to our departments who need to know the upcoming hires.
  • Help desk - the help desk needs to be staffed appropriately. We are [waiting] sometimes a week before we get a response for a ticket.
I think iCIMS is a great product and our account manager, Alim, is wonderful. The help desk ticketing is a problem for us since this delays what we are able to do and help our field on recruiting.

We utilize the many features of iCIMS to attract, pre-board and hire all new employees enterprise wide. The integrations provided by iCIMS to our payroll, content management, IT account provisioning, I9 and many other applications and processes is invaluable. iCIMS has allowed us to fully automate many processes that were previously manual. We've been able to move away from paper and to a fully digital environment. iCIMS made our most recent move to working fully remote a very smooth process.
  • Bulk Edits: The ability to perform a search on a set of criteria and impact a value on any field for all the records that match that criteria is a huge time savings not to mention it makes all changes consistent.
  • Customer Support: No matter how good the application is, customer support will be needed from time to time to either answer questions or guide you through making changes to your configurations. iCIMS Customer Support is simply the best bar none!
  • Assignment of On/Pre boarding tasks. The ability to assign tasks be it a review or completion of a document to the candidate or any other relative party allows all employees to be onboarded consistently and efficiently while ensuring compliance.
  • APIs: Your development staff has the code at their fingertips to pull any information out of iCIMS via APIs. Events that occur in iCIMS can also trigger external actions.
  • The wall between Recruiting Workflow and Onboarding Workflow make sending data from both in an integration or even on a report very challenging.
  • Allow skilled users access to the backend formulas and ability to change column headers for reports and integrations.
  • Allow rules based logic and auto-population at the field level. Conditional logic is a great start but putting a full rules engine underneath would be wonderful.
  • Allow field to field comparisons in reporting search criteria.
iCIMS is well suited for publishing your jobs, tracking and dispositioning candidates, pre-boarding and then dispersing the relevant data out to all applicable systems.

We use iCIMS Talent Cloud as our applicant tracking system for our Talent Acquisition team. Within the last two years, we have set up a feed of new hire information to be sent to our HRIS system, ADP. This feed helps eliminate paperwork that needs to be filled out in order to get a new hire in the system. Only our TA team within HR uses the system. We do not have managers set up in the system at this time.
  • I think that iCIMS Talent Cloud is very user friendly to use.
  • I appreciate that as a user admin I can make a lot of changes on the backend of the system myself.
  • iCIMS Talent Cloud is very configurable to make the system how you would like to utilize it for your company.
  • The AI capabilities could be stronger. For example having "bots" send out offer letters automatically instead of having someone have to review them first.
  • We looked at implementing the Onboarding feature, but again due to lack of AI technology, using that tool would have actually created more work for us and our already very manual process.
I think iCIMS Talent Cloud is a great tool to use for smaller companies that may not have that many locations. As previously mentioned we had looked at implementing the Onboard tool but ultimately determined it would not work for us. We are spread out in all 50 states. If we would just have offices in a couple of states, I think we would have been able to move forward with the tool. Also as mentioned, I do think it is an easy system to use. However it isn't like a Success Factors where there are multiple suites that are all housed under the same HRIS. There isn't a talent management feature or org chart system to just name a few examples.

iCIMS Talent Acquisition Software Suite is being used across our entire Hospice Division. It houses all of our current open positions and supports 400+ branch offices as well as our corporate office in North Carolina.
  • Job visibility internally between recruitment and hiring managers
  • Online reach; visibility on major job boards, niche sites, etc.
  • Ease of use for both recruiters who are power users and hiring managers who are not
  • Reporting Capabilities that allow us to analyze our current processes and structure and adapt for any forecasted changes
  • Their iFORMS are not mobile compatible.
  • Reporting and Searching are not easy to use or understand.
  • At times, getting to where you need to go requires too many clicks.
iCIMS fully supports our large organization. We have a unique way of doing certain things and the way we can configure iCIMS is a benefit for us. They have been able to keep up with our growth over the past two years with little to no issues.

We currently have iCIMS Recruit and iCIMS pre-board. The talent acquisition team uses iCIMS Talent Cloud as the ATS for Tantus - posting job desriptions on the internal and external career portal, track candidates though the process, track metrics for the recruiting team. Hiring managers have access to review put Job Descriptions in [and] review candidates or look at where the candidates are in the process. We incorporated this with HR to help pre-boarding the candidates as well. (created iforms; and new hire paperwork).

Our entire organization uses the Talent Cloud to some extent, some more heavily than others. All Hiring Managers access our platform to create and submit jobs and offers in iCIMS Recruit/Applicant Tracking. All employees also have access to an internal portal to apply for new positions. The most recent business problem we have been able to address is new legislation requiring us to post specific compensation details for our positions. We have different rates of pay in different locations so with our configurations, the Conditional Field Logic function helped us a lot and iCIMS Technical Support dedicated much of their time to helping us understand it. iCIMS Preboard houses all of our Onboarding documents as iForms, we like that these can be searchable for reporting purposes. Not to mention this has saved a lot of paper. As a User Administrator I have also found that audit trails, email tracking etc. and other ways that iCIMS captures user actions are trustworthy and helpful for troubleshooting. Finally the Candidate Relationship Management helps us connect via talent pools and develop a better understanding of who our candidates are. iCIMS Text Engagement has accelerated not only our hiring processes but also transformed how our Recruiters engage with candidates.
  • Searching and reporting. Once you understand how to set up and save templates, you can generate a LOT of information and configure it to be at the fingertips of those who need it. I have also never seen so much flexibility in how it can be organized.
  • The availability of tools to source and screen, especially as new integrations come about. There are always some technical kinks to iron out but once they are resolved, you can trust that they function well.
  • Simplifying the candidate experience, the look and feel of the Career portals can be configured but there is still an overall recognizable view from the candidate perspective that makes everything clear and organized.
  • We would like Job Screening questions to save previous candidate responses, similar to how Person Screening questions do. This would help us for positions where we ask candidates to write essay-style responses. We see a lot of candidates re-apply for these positions and it's inconvenient for them to re-write everything.
  • The ability to host virtual hiring events using a video tool. We like seeing that video interview tools are in the works already!
  • We had trouble figuring out candidate profile creation from job boards like Indeed. For a while Recruiters were manually uploading resumes into the platform so the Easy Apply integration helped a lot with that. Would appreciate continued improvements.
The experienced Senior Recruiters in our organization say that iCIMS Talent Cloud is the most all-encompassing Applicant Tracking Software they have used thus far which I believe speaks a lot. I cannot picture any scenario where the products are not suited; the options available for different organizations seem to be versatile.

iCIMS is used as our Applicant Tracking system. We post open jobs to our career board through iCIMS and complete preboarding and onboarding paperwork through the system. iCIMS addresses both recruitment and onboarding solutions for our organization. iCIMS is specifically being used by our HR department, however we would like to see our hiring leaders become more involved with the system to allow them to access resumes and have more direct involvement when hiring for their teams.

  • Providing recruitment metrics for AAP purposes.
  • Interview scheduling- being able to send two separate emails (one to manager and one to candidate) from the same pop up window.
Well suited for storing applicant resumes and information. Easily can search your iCIMS database for passive candidates which is helpful in order to have a proactive recruitment strategy.
