Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Iconosquare for analytics purposes. We are working to increase impressions and reach across all social channels, and Iconosquare helps us to analyze content and numbers. We use it weekly to track posts and profiles across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. The problem it is helping us solve is low reach and impressions. Iconosquare allows us to see what content is performing well and how that content is helping our channels to grow.

Pros

  • Scheduling
  • Analytics
  • Cross Platform Analysis.

Cons

  • Organic vs Paid impressions on IG.
  • Organic vs Paid Reach on IG.
  • Historical Data for IG/TT.

Likelihood to Recommend

A good match for someone looking into Iconosquare would be a social media manager looking to streamline their analytics process. It is for someone who may be pulling these numbers manually and wants a centralized location to pull numbers across platforms. Iconosquare also allows you to schedule your content, which provides another one-stop shop. Where it would be less suited is someone who may not use more than one social platform.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

One of our biggest services is Instagram marketing, and we needed a good way to report on improvements and growth. We make use of Iconsquare, originally because it was the best platform that we have found for reporting on Instagram metrics for clients in a visually appealing way. It allows us to highlight all of the most important metrics in an easy-to-understand way, even for clients who aren't particularly savvy.

Pros

  • Visually appealing reports for clients who aren't social-media savvy
  • Comprehensive reports containing all the important metrics
  • Provides good insights into the best performing posts

Cons

  • Quite pricey
  • Not great separation of paid and organic results

Likelihood to Recommend

As previously mentioned, Iconosquare is great for creating reports for less-savvy clients, as they are extremely comprehensive and visually appealing/stimulating. The reports compile all the important metrics in an easy-to-understand format and allow for easy tracking of growth, etc. That's what we've used the platform for most, and haven't had any issues with.

Iconosquare is essential for our business!

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Iconosquare is being used only by our marketing department, and more specifically, is being used by one member of our marketing team (me!) to gather high-level information about our Instagram reach. It address the problem of not knowing our specific reach when it comes to engagement on posts and number of likes.

Pros

  • Date Selection: It is very easy and user-friendly to select the date ranges you want to gather data from.
  • Number of Likes: It is crystal-clear how many likes your photos received during a specific time period.

Cons

  • I have no complaints!
  • Iconosquare is very helpful and efficient.

Likelihood to Recommend

Iconosquare not only gives me the information I need and desire about our online reach, but it gives me additional information about topics I may not have considered without the push.

The Simplest Way to Track Your Instagram Performance

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As one of the most popular social platforms with an extremely engaged user-base, there was a large focus on making a meaningful impact on Instagram. As such, our team was looking for a specialized tool that could help us deep dive into the platform analytics and help us better understand what was working (and what wasn't) as we tried to grow our followers and increase engagement on our posts.

Pros

  • Specialized in tracking Instagram Analytics.
  • Easy to understand data visuals.
  • Simple to use with no steep learning curve.
  • Fairly fast.

Cons

  • Manipulating data can be difficult.
  • Paid and organic posts couldn't be separated.
  • Tracking story posts you wanted to group is messy.

Likelihood to Recommend

I'd say if you're looking for a high-level view of what's happening on your brand's Instagram, this is a great tool to you. I certainly wouldn't look for any deep analytics here though.

The Best Instagram Analytics Available

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Iconosquare is being used within the Marketing Department on our Digital team. We have three large Instagram accounts with tens of thousands of followers, and Facebook profiles with thousands more. Iconosquare is really our source of truth for Instagram and Facebook analytics. We are able to track follower metrics, engagement trends, track competitor accounts, and much more. It supplies us with so much more information and data than the standard analytics through the native Instagram/Facebook platforms.

Pros

  • Competitor Analysis
  • Social Media Analytics
  • Social Listening

Cons

  • Instagram Post Management (this is largely an Instagram API fault)
  • Comment Tracking
  • Instagram Publishing

Likelihood to Recommend

Iconosquare is excellent for social media (specifically Instagram and Facebook) analytics. The competitor analysis and engagement metrics really give you an all in one dashboard for those accounts. The one thing it will not do well is handle publishing of posts, but this is largely because Instagram has shut down their API to allow less and less access. You used to be able to follow accounts, find influencers, and comment through Iconosquare, but it has lost that ability due to the Instagram API changes. That being said, for Instagram, even Hootsuite struggles with publishing, and that does not have near the amount of analytics that Iconosquare does.

Iconosquare Social Analytics Review

Rating: 7 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

My team uses Iconosquare to review metrics from the content we post on Instagram in feed and Instagram stories. It is also helpful for us to not only review content metrics, but see the progression of our follower counts, engagement rates, and overall web conversions.

Pros

  • Simple and easy interface to navigate
  • Engagement rates, engagement metrics
  • Follower Growth and Trends

Cons

  • Only accesses Facebook and Instagram analytics - no other platforms
  • Does not separate paid and organic metrics
  • A lot of features you need to pay extra for

Likelihood to Recommend

This tool is well suited for those who are either small or medium businesses and are looking for basic analytics and reporting metrics to share with their clients and or team members to present. Many of the graphs are easy to read and shareable either in downloadable form or PDF.

Iconosquare Review from a Nonprofit Marketer

Rating: 7 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Iconosquare was being used in our marketing efforts to dig deeper into our analytics on when we were receiving the best engagement from followers, which types of posts were best for our audience and also how we were bringing new followers to our account. It allowed us to compare posts on different days hour by hour and also see the net growth and engagement more deeply than we could have by just using the native app.

Pros

  • Provides in-depth analytics on engagement.
  • Provides in-depth analytics on consistencies among your follower base.
  • Provides insight into ways to grow your followership and refine your content.

Cons

  • I think they could offer some deeper analytics if they allowed users to tag the type of content you were posting to see any trends by that tag.
  • Iconosquare's service should be cheaper. I know lots of organizations who could benefit from using the tool, but it's just not within budget for them.
  • The filtering options for date ranges and other queries isn't user-friendly.

Likelihood to Recommend

Iconosquare is great for looking at your analytics and what you're doing well with your Instagram marketing. It will not tell you what you need to do to get 10,000 followers like some of those other shams out there, so you do need to know what you're doing on Instagram and how to use the data it provides to grow your presence.
