  • Email in general has astounding ROI. For the cost there is NOTHING that comes even close to generating the same numbers.
  • iContact is in expensive, so that leads to high ROI.
  • iContact has terrible deliverability, so we are paying for emails that are not making it to their inbox. It is worth more to us now to pay for the more expensive ESP with better deliverability, that way more of our customers get our emails, which in turn leads to more purchases and even higher ROI.
  • Once you are able to afford a better email service provider (ESP), I would recommend using someone with a custom IP address so that you can manage your own deliverability.

  • When I first started using them, our newsletters immediately gained a much better appearance due to their templates.
  • With their good delivery rates, I never had to worry about how many of our subscribers were NOT even getting a chance to see our emails due to them not reaching their inbox.
  • We always were able to make several times the annual cost of their service in revenue from our newsletters.
  • If I had been using a service with the more advanced features I could have done a lot more to get even better returns on our emails.

  • My e-newsletter is a loss leader, used at my sole proprietor company to keep my name and face in front of the people on the list I have generated over the years.
  • Close to a dozen jobs have come to me via my iContact e-newsletter, which I call The Hestia Report. Those jobs are from people who know me. When they get my e-newsletter and happen to need some marketing/PR at that time, it triggers a call.

  • Increased Employee Efficiency - once a template is created, it is very easy to edit the content within the template with minimal or no assistance from developers.
  • Domain Reputation - if you aren't careful, it is very easy to hurt your domain reputation when using iContact. Make sure the person in charge of email marketing knows the risks of email marketing or is willing to closely work with iContact's customer service to follow best practices.
  • Increased Lead Conversion - through the use of automated email functionality, you can stay in the forefront of your customer's minds. This increases conversions by reminding customers that you are there to provide the goods or services that they may need periodically or in the future.

  • iContact for Salesforce integration has saved us time trying to use our own database within iContact, which could take hours to set up. Having this iContact for Salesforce integration tool allows us to use all of the features for campaigns in Salesforce with all of the luxuries of iContact at a huge time savings.
