If an individual or business does not possess a human resource management, human resources information system, or other system that can be used as an applicant tracking system to control and automate the process, I would highly recommend getting one prior to using Indeed Ads (Sponsored Jobs) due to the increased ease caused by both systems working in conjunction with one another.

Pros

  • It shows the relevant data.
  • A big database for recruiting with a wide range any skills.
  • The volume of active candidate seeking opportunity is huge

Cons

  • Data is less in comparison to other portals like Naukri and LinkedIn
  • The portal is user friendly however it still requires modification to facilitate a smooth hiring process.
  • It only captures the data for India region, if the data from other regions will get add then the demand for this tool will rise up exponentially

I find this portal effective and productive for Junior level roles where as if we have to attract candidates from top tier colleges then we have very less and passive data

Indeed Adsis great for those “revolving door” positions in a healthcare setting. This platform allows me to provide a continuous flow of applicants to my hiring managers. More than half of the applicants are qualified and respond quickly to requests. This is incredibly beneficial and crucial in healthcare where every person counts.

Pros

  • The system is generally easy to use and understand
  • The reporting functionality is user-friendly
  • Communicating to candidates through the system is efficient

Cons

  • Indeed generally continues to remove functionality and/or charge more or charge the same amount with fewer features. Case in point: you used to be able to reach out to an unlimited number of candidates that the system matched with your job, but Indeed now limits it to 30 FOR ALL sponsored jobs across your account.
  • Additionally, Indeed only lets you advertise sponsored jobs in your immediate service area, which doesn't help recruiting efforts much when you already have good brand awareness there.

Likelihood to Recommend

Sponsored jobs aren't great for roles that require a certain amount of certification/education in rural areas. There just isn't a large enough candidate base in those areas to market to locally and Indeed only lets you post sponsored jobs in your immediate service area.

I think that in most markets this is incredibly helpful. We have occasionally had issues with sponsorship not being enough and we've had to employ other methods of recruitment through Indeed, but that's more the market of talent than Indeed's fault. In general, I think it's very useful for all our positions we hire for at our company.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Indeed made it easy to make changes to our accounts and adjust to new hiring practices. Customer service was direct, polite and effective. Time was not wasted, but a friendly experience was maintained. Overall experience was enjoyable and effective in resolving our issues. I highly recommend working with their customer success team at any time.

Indeed has been the most effective tool that we have used to hire new employees. It provides a large pool of candidates that are of good quality and tend to follow through on attending interviews.

Indeed Sponsored Jobs helps me develop new jobs or refresh current job on a weekly or even daily basis as the needs of business change. The dashboard is easy to use and its analytics are AWESOME! Most importantly, I'm able to manage our ad campaign to stay within our recruitment budget with PROVEN results!!

  • Individualize our ads to a geo-fenced area in each of our tri county service area.
  • Able to turn our ads on and off in order to keep within our recruitment budget.
  • Ability to develop an individualized Home Page to spotlight our Agency and Employees!

  • Keep on top of technological advances as you currently do!!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As the company recruiter, I use Indeed to gather resumes for our assisted living and behavioral health communities. From the resumes gathered, I then offer initial interviews to candidates who fit our criteria. If a candidate seems to match our needs, then an in-person interview is scheduled.

Pros

  • Ease of advertising the job.
  • Acceptable budget range.
  • Notes on who has applied prior and an opportunity to provide notes on each candidate.

Cons

  • Id like to have a feature that shows me if I've sent a job invitation to a candidate prior.
  • Having a "red flag" feature to flag candidates that apply again who are not re-hireable within our company.

Likelihood to Recommend

Using indeed for ongoing job needs is great as the job ad will be there for an extended period of time. The use of Indeed for a quick need-to-hire tomorrow situation has been tough. I have found that it may take a few days to gather good applications.
