We use Infusionsoft for our own business and for our clients. We use it to manage our sales pipeline, automate our marketing and client management.
  • Marketing automation
  • Integration with other apps
  • Payment management
  • Order forms
  • Landing pages
  • Ease of use out of the box
Great for a business that sells info products or high ticket services. Maybe not so good for high volume product based eCommerce.

Keap is a great solution for people who are looking for a one-stop or all-in-one solution to manage their customers. It is easy to use, fast, affordable, and has a wide range of third-party connections or apps you can integrate with. Whether it comes to internet marketing, automation of marketing tasks, leads to the customer's conversion process, calls and SMS Keap have everything. I like it.
  • Third Party Integrations.
  • Sales Automation.
  • Customer management.
  • Ecommerce
  • SMS
If you are managing a larger customer base or have leads that you want to convert to real customers. If you want to automate emails and SMS it's best. If you got just a few leads, and don't have many customers or leads every day, you don't want to automate or sell a service where it needs more custom quotes. This can be less useful but still useful.

Managing contacts, lead generation, marketing automation and follow-up, database management, and email marketing. It really helps in a comprehensive approach and a CRM that we can definitely use.
  • Contact record
  • Lead Scoring
  • Lead communication
  • It is too complex.
  • It has a lot of things going on.
  • Need a professional to operate.
It is definitely great to use for small companies and for helping to keep a good CRM database. If we are doing any form of business, or marketing, and have clients, definitely something that Keap can be used for. However, if you are a business owner, learning the system can actually be challenging if you want to make full fledge automation.

We use Keap primarily for all email marketing across the entire organization. The tools we use are email broadcasts, campaign builder, and CRM (as a basic look into [the] behaviors of our members). Keap allows the organization to automate sequences and provide a personalized relationship with our members to increase engagement and retention. It also is the perfect tool for nurturing potential members and users across the organization.
  • Community forums, customer support, and training/tutorials. If there is an issue you're running into, chances are you'll find the answer in one of those three places.
  • Analytics for the Campaign Builder is in-depth and provides our team with what we need.
  • Contact dashboard.
  • The drag-and-drop email builder is very intuitive. There is an option to add your own email code in as well. If you're looking for a robust drag and drop email builder, I'd recommend looking at other options.
  • Keap used to allow email recipients to click on a link within the email to pull up an HTML version. This was huge for our organization, as it allowed our global members to translate an email easily into their native language. This has been a huge pain point since they removed this option.
  • Spam issues keep you from sending an email broadcast. For example, we were sending a lot of resources and free webinars to our members for COVID-19, as well as conducting industry research on how the pandemic is affecting the profession. "COVID-19" was marked as a spam word in their system, and because of it, we weren't allowed to send out emails with that word, even though it was specifically what we were talking about. You can usually work around these issues by rewording, but it still makes it a bit clunky. I'm a big fan of having the spam filter to keep you aware of issues in your copy, but it shouldn't keep you from sending an email. Keap customer support said to work around this, send via the Campaign Builder.
  • Email broadcast reporting now only shows the first link clicked, rather than all links clicked. Ever since this has been implemented we have not been able to track ad clicks reliably.
Keap is perfect for small businesses using it as an all-in-one marketing and sales platform. The updates and features added are catered toward entrepreneurs and small businesses. The features and tools available are very easy-to-use for non-marketers once you understand where everything is. For larger companies that may have multiple people on staff working on emails, it does make it harder to manage. Drafts cannot be shared between individuals and multiple people cannot be working in the same campaign (even if they're working on completely separate pieces, such as a landing page and email broadcast). There is also very little flexibility for design in the drag and drop email builder, such as only one option for font.

We have been using Keap for several years in our company in order to assist us with automating email marketing which is very important in saving time and costs. It lets us know where our customers and potential buyers came from and has a fairly robust tool kit built right in.
  • Automation which is key in saving us from headaches and having to spend extra time.
  • Letting us know exactly which campaigns are more successful than others by telling us where our customers are coming from.
  • Really great customer support that responds fairly quickly.
  • Setting up campaigns can be quite a difficult task at first due to the complexities of the software.
  • The massive learning curve is a huge undertaking and will cause your first campaigns to be underwhelming at first.
  • Group texting is something that we never got to work correctly so we decided to not use it.
I would absolutely recommend Keap to a colleague if they are looking for a fairly robust tool to automate several aspects of their business, most importantly email campaign marketing which is a huge time sink if not done in an automated way. The support is great and I would recommend keap for that as well as the many onboarding videos they have which are actually very useful.

Infusionsoft by Keap is a great CRM for automating e-mail messages to organize our educational classes and upcoming events. It also helps us keep track of rewards points for our customers. When we get new products or price changes, it allows us to send a notification to only those individuals who are interested in that specific type of product.
  • Categorizes people by tagging instead of having to add the customer to multiple lists.
  • Allows for easy scheduling of messages based on either a pre-set time or an action.
  • Notifies you when e-mails are no longer valid.
  • Keap could be a little more clear on defining certain functions for laymen.
  • Keap could use more WYSIWYG functionality.
  • Keap could be more clear about what certain triggers do like how the delay timers work exactly when applied.
Keap is a very powerful but also clunky tool if you are not a tech expert. I would recommend it; however, be prepared for the learning curve if you are not familiar with electronic workflows. This is so much more than a newsletter tool. It can really help you organize your variety of customers based on their specific wants and needs.

After using Infusionsoft for a business I work with, I decided it was the next logical step in my own business. The ability to efficiently and effectively automate and streamline my affiliate program, e-commerce, marketing campaigns, digital product delivery, and task system has made things much easier and effective. It allows me to make sure only the people who emails are relevant to are receiving them instead of my entire list. It's increased list retention, engagement, growth, and satisfaction.
  • Their tagging system
  • Marketing Automation
  • Options
  • The e-commerce / order forms
  • Ease and fluidity of use
It is well suited for anyone who runs a small business really. It integrates with almost everything.

It wouldn't be well suited for someone who is a hobbyist or not serious about their business.

Keap is an all-in-one platform for email marketing and Customer Relationship Management, and it helps us organize/ manage business operations seamlessly. We used Keap application to manage communication with customers and potential customers and to manage tasks and meetings with clients. We were using Excel Sheets to manage daily tasks, client data, meeting requests, and managing potential leads which was time-consuming and full of errors. This application helped us create workflows, manage contacts and customer deals, and to send emails to clients whenever we needed.
  • Create workflows
  • Manage Contacts/ Clients
  • Email marketing with ease to compose beautiful emails
  • Keap is a bit hard on the browser when operating
  • CRM and automation
  • eCommerce and payment integration
Keap is well suited for organizations with medium to large-sized operations and users where the company has to manage multiple team members and Account Managers managing thousands of contacts in different Work Teams and workloads.

Less appropriate for organizations with a lesser number of contacts and less number of Account Managers to use the app.

I am able to keep in line all contacts we have had in the past: conference contacts, research study contacts, and current consumer patients. I also like the creative emails that our team is able to work up with the templates, which makes our messages pop a bit more.
  • Consumer relations
  • Contact cooridination
  • Follow up on leads
  • Build new templates and save.
  • Reuse built templates.
  • Ability to rename/create different types of contacts.
Perfect for keeping track of who you haven't contacted in quite some time. "Keap" your contacts as a top priority, when you use broadcasts and automatic responses, and follow-up emails. Create a trail to keep consumers interested in the products we provide. Less appropriate for a daily contact email with important ties to partners.

We use Keap for all sales and customer service automation, in addition to marketing campaigns. Keap helps us stay in regular and easy contact with leads, clients, and partners by scheduling out communication cadences with automated tasks. We also send all one-off communications and newsletters through Keap. The reporting and functionality are exactly what we had in mind for our business when we began pursuing joint CRM/marketing software.
  • Newsletter sends
  • Automated sales cadences
  • Detailed contact records
  • Pipeline reporting and modification
  • Sometimes when they roll out updates, things get buggy.
  • Lead scoring in Keap Pro
I think Keap works very well for small businesses with only moderately complex business needs. I imagine enterprise accounts and agencies may not have all their functionality and needs to be met in Keap. Keap is perfect for seasoned professionals but is also great for people with no experience using similar software, as it is incredibly intuitive and user-friendly.

For years we have been using lists that we compiled of our contacts from an excel spreadsheet. Using Keap allows my team to quickly categorize our contacts for certain email messages. This is a much more user-friendly, and time-saving tool. I also enjoy being able to track tasks and contacts, which allows me to see who I am missing out on connecting with.
  • Email retention
  • Task Tracking
  • Contact management
  • Ease of use
  • Professional Invoices
  • Cost of seat
Most suitable for maintaining contacts, developing emails in a creative format, and ability to track what emails have been sent to which of our contacts. It would be great if the scope of "types" were able to be edited as well as additional types created. Only having 3 types of contacts does not allow us a more general way to separate contact types.

We are mainly marketing our Chronic Inflammation Test to different types of audiences: consumers, practitioners, and product providers. We needed a quicker way to maintain each type and specialize emails to their needs. Being able to track each email has been quite a helpful tool in organizing necessary contact with our email lists.
  • Broadcast Design
  • User Friendly
  • Track all progress with contacts
  • Price
  • Contact upload
  • Category Options for contacts
  • Ease of using templates
It has been very easy to keep up with past contacts and arrange them in categories that are useful to that audience. We are also able to automate numerous emails by sending one. Keap allows us to send one email, and another is sent in a day or two (unless the contact has not opened/responded-also delineated by the user). The automation is great and keeps our time to a minimum.

Keap is the glue holding the company together. It's our CRM master database, automation tool, reporting engine, and part of our sales process.

We duplicated several of the database tables with the API and maintained a local copy that is synced with the Keap database. If our servers ever go down or are hacked, we can restore the information from the Keap database. We have done a lot of API integration, which is quite easy to do with Keap. If the software doesn't do exactly what you need it to do, there are 3rd party solutions for MANY things...or you can code it yourself with the API.
  • Automation
  • API integration
  • Sending email broadcasts and tracking results
  • Create a default password for new contact records. This is a pet peeve.
  • Let users use their own SMTP server for email deliverability
Great for small/medium business that need an integrated solution for CRM, sales and marketing automation. I am a solopreneur and I've coded many things to be more efficent. I couldn't have done it without the API. The automation is quite useful and VERY flexible. I love the campaign builder.

Our app uses over 600 tags. We segregate people and use tags to control access to member's area content and to control actions associated with member subscriptions and products.

I personally use Keap daily to keep track of what I need to deliver to people and what I am waiting for clients to get me. Organizing by client helps me keep actions on clients in different stages straight. With 35 clients, I cannot possibly keep this all in my head, and Keap is a great tool for this. We also use Keap for our email campaigns and use different tags for our different email paths. We just discussed this week another way I can use Keap to track follow-up with prospects, and I will be creating a new email campaign on Keap soon. Keap's dashboard helps me keep track of my client's requests and what I need from them, which is very valuable. The email campaign function lets us automate and be more efficient in our emails, delivering messages we want and saving us time recreating them each time. While I may not be using the full scope of Keap's functionality, what I use keeps me organized and efficient, and for that, I highly recommend using Keap.
  • Provide a dashboard of all my actions on the due date I submit
  • Hold client contact information all in one place and one format
  • Run email campaigns
  • Online training for different functionalities
  • When I think of others, who can I send them to? I do have others not coming to mind now
For tracking multiple client timelines and activities
For keeping your "To Do" list with multiple clients organized and straight email campaigns

I used Keap at my prior organization for solely the purpose of email marketing. I used it to create email campaigns as well as single 'email broadcasts'. I know that Keap also has other functions such as being a CRM or using it for finances but my company used a different product for CRM. Keap helped to solve the companies business problem of effectively having a way to communicate to our numerous audiences. Creating the emails on Keap felt very user friendly and didn't consume a lot of time. So for our organization this was a plus because we had several different family organizations and within each of those organizations we would have several different kinds of audiences. Keap had the ability to create and save 'tags' when uploading our contact lists so when we had to send out a new email broadcast to the same audiences the process was streamlined. Because I only used Keap for the email marketing functions, my scope is not encompassing of all the functions and capabilities that Keap has to offer.
  • Having the tag functions to save and manage contact lists
  • Being user friendly with click and drop functions
  • Being able to save emails broadcasts as well as duplicate them to ease the process
  • More articles and videos on how to use the various functions of Keap
  • Having representatives designated to certain regions or companies for a point of contact when help is needed
  • More options when building the emails. While the click and drop options can be a plus, they can also be negative because you are limited to image and text sizing and positions
Keap is well suited for beginners of email marketing and most likely smaller companies as well. For someone who is new to the email marketing world, the click and drop features are easy to understand and use. They can also save their email broadcasts and create duplicates of them so it would save them time if they are doing things in a similar fashion. For example, if they have a monthly newsletter and want the format to be consistent they can just save the template and then reuse it over and over, just updating the info text and images. On the flip side, for those who have been in the email marketing world for longer or understand more coding Keap is not the best for them. They would be limited to how much customization they can create in their emails and find that it might not best suit their needs.

Our marketing team uses Keap (formerly Infusionsoft) for a range of actions. It is quite simple and easy to use which has helped us tag and categorize clients, create sequences with a clear client journey and outcome, produce landing pages, offer product sales, and most importantly keep our contacts in the know with any news surrounding their local clinic.
  • Simple Email Sequence Building
  • Tagging Clients
  • Product Checkout
  • Cleaning up images you no longer want stored is frustratingly slow and hard (can't bulk delete)
Legacy builder is quite dated and limited, in my opinion. Its functionality is x10 easier to use than the new email builder. The new email builder looks a lot better. However, the functionality is far worse than their legacy builder. e.g. can't search for an image you want with the new email builder. You must scroll through your entire library, etc. I should add that the legacy email builder is very simple and easy to use and effective, so it would be nice if the new email builder was the same.

We purchased and used Keap for about 10 months. I did so to try to get our marketing message out to the world. It was very robust. Lots of integrations with other products. We needed the ability to keep data syncing across all of our internal systems. So we decided to use this product.
  • Building complex funnels
  • Keeping in contact
  • Visibility
  • Cost
  • Ease of deployment
  • Getting on whitelist for Email delivery
I believe it would work well for larger companies. Since I am a one-man shop it seemed to be overwhelming for us to implement. When we hired a third party to help it got worse in my option. So I would say it would be best to hire an expert to help you implement this system.

We use Keap for various reasons for our business. We manage all of our contacts and clients within Keap. We run all our emails and marketing campaigns through their software. We do a lot of our invoicing within Keap. We also run eCommerce through Keap. We keep records of all customer actions and tag them based on their actions. We are able to connect it with other platforms and incorporate it with our webinars and online training courses.
  • Campaign Building
  • Tagging Abilities
  • Client Record Keeping
  • Reporting
  • Automation
  • Email builder lacks features
  • eCommerce is pretty weak and could use major updates
  • User Interface seems dated
Keap is great for keeping track of customer interactions. It's great for storing client information. The campaign builder is well suited for automated marketing and segmentation. Their tagging system is great for tracking and creating actions based on users interactions. I do not recommend Keap for eCommerce but it's pretty good for everything else.

We use it to run our entire business operation. It keeps contacts, invoicing, email triggers, and contact tagging organizations all in one place.
  • Campaign building is the most user-friendly I've seen across other platforms.
  • Emailing is effortless.
  • The built-in online store has paid for the membership easily.
  • As a Canadian the app isn't functional nor do we have access to the things US customers do.
  • Built-in texting feature -- again, Canada doesn't have.
  • Better reporting across campaigns.
Keap is great for companies that have an online/offline presence + want to integrate launching/emailing etc. into their business. If you are required to do billing, collect payments + run the marketing side of your biz, then it's great. Keap is TOO big if you only want to do portions of what I mentioned above, exp for the investment monthly.

Keap is the business backend of our entire organization, from marketing to sales, through to fulfillment, internal operations, and finance - it does it all! Keap allows our lean team to operate like a much bigger business through its robust sales and marketing automation capabilities.
  • Sales Automation.
  • Marketing Automation.
  • CRM (Customer Relationship Management).
  • Appointment Scheduling.
  • Business Phone Line.
  • Sales Pipeline.
  • Task Management.
  • I'd love to see added functionality to the Sales Pipeline for Keap Pro.
  • [I would also like the ability to] add pooled availability for appointment scheduling.
Keap is best suited for entrepreneurial small businesses that need robust and agile software to function as the tech backbone of your business. Large enterprise-level businesses, with hundreds of employees, may find other software options better suited for their needs.

Keap Max Classic is connected to our website (lead gen forms), our scheduling solution, our Office365 team's account, and our email accounts all in one place to manage follow-up, project progress, funnel/stage tracking, customer value, lead costs, and ROI and scheduling. It reminds us and our clients of meetings. It supports us with follow-up for deadlines. It automated nurture and relationship with clients and values and reporting on all of these things tied into campaign builder and opportunity ROI reporting.
  • Allows custom building of campaign design.
  • Provides follow-up and reminders for just about anything/everything.
  • Provides ways to custom report details that are not necessarily standard metrics.
  • Provides a reliable email sending platform with conditional logic.
  • Allows emails to contact custom content based on conditions.
  • Affiliate marketing.
  • Shopping cart (very basic).
  • Order forms (also very basic).
  • Sales management especially simplifying subscriptions.
Many medical fields use it to provide follow-up SMS/Email instructions to patients. Real estate agents use it to track location/scheduled showings and relationship management. Marketers use campaign builders to build robust conditional campaigns to support complex sales funnels. Law firms are keen to use it to remind clients of each of their next steps, not moving to the step after until the client indicates the current step has been completed.

The tool is being integrated into HR and development as well--we now house our employee onboarding profiles here through integration with Typeform and Zapier. The business challenge that this tool solves is twofold--first and foremost, it helps us keep track of revenue. It also helps us keep track of opportunities and deals so that we know when to follow up and when to sit back. For our small business customers using Pro or Max, we also find it's extremely helpful for them to have a Keap Business Line to manage text communications on their personal devices.
  • Follow-up.
  • Upselling.
  • Management of client, prospect, and contact relationships.
  • Business development opportunities.
  • Branding across the app to keep your business brand consistent.
This tool is best for entrepreneurs, creators, and business owners who are looking for an all-in-one solution. It is not a tool for someone who doesn't understand the power of being able to track the communications with your customers and it is also not for someone who isn't clear about why marketing is an essential part of their business.
