We are using Intacct for all over the organization. The limitation we are facing is reporting in different currencies especially since we have offices in around 30 countries.
  • Flexibility in designing reports.
  • Retrieve data based on different dimensions.
  • Build custom reports.
  • Ability to manage users when we have sub-locations.
  • Run financial reports in different currencies.
  • More flexibility in designing the trial balance.
Intacct is well suited for attaching documents, creating custom reports. It is less suited when it comes time to run financial reports in different currencies and run workflows between different entities.

Sage Intacct is a modern solution for cloud software for Accounting. It is an ideal solution if you're moving from Quickbooks or an older solution. Running reports are easy and there are many updates every quarter to help streamline manual processes. It is ideal for companies with large transactions except it can run slow depending on how you store the data. My company stores data in batches which help the speed issue.
  • Customizing reports.
  • Uploading transactions and journals
  • Reconciling cash
  • Processing report speed
  • Automation of reports
  • Solution for large count of payments
It is ideal if you want to move to a cloud solution with a large selection of customizability. It is also very developer friendly as we have internal teams work to automate certain transactions. If you don't run millions of transactions per day it can run a lot faster as well.

We use sage intacct as our main accounting software, we use the cloud based software for giving access to our different program supervisors, this helps then to look at there income statements and make changes and have a track on there own end, the cloud system makes everything easer, the interface is also user friendly.
  • user friendly Interface
  • Cloud based system is helpful
  • System speed
  • Single entry with multiple lines for same vendors
  • Trial balance
  • There is a scope of improvement the way we look at the GL
some specific scenarios based on your experience where Sage Intacct is well suited are the cloud based system which helps users which are not from accounting get the access even remotely, the feature which helps us to attach the file helps to track down any query, some specific scenarios based on your experience where Sage Intacct is less appropriate are the way we look at the GL report and the Oder entry is little hard to entre data for same customer.

We are a General Contractor that used Sage 100 for 10 years before making to switch to Intacct
  • Integrates with Procore
  • Extensive reporting capabilities
  • Automated monthly activities
  • Sage 100 had a Project Summary Screen. A one stop shop for all project related information. We can build something similar in a Dashboard but it isn't as good as Sage 100.
  • In Sage 100 issuing joint checks was a breeze. It is a very frustrating and time consuming process in Intacct.
  • We have only been live for a couple of months but these are the two most frustrating issues at the moment.
Overall SAGE Intacct is a vast improvement over Sage 100. However, there are some simple features in 100 that we took for granted that are not in Intacct which is frustrating.

Sage Intacct is a very versitle web ERP platform, supporting our GL accounting, AR, AP, and Reporting functions for a ~50M revenue business. Very easy implementations and configuration.
  • Ad-hoc reporting
  • Data import
  • Invoicing
  • Better user interface for budget module
  • modern excel format support for exports
I really enjoy using sage intacct for reporting, The custom report tool allows for deep customization of ad hoc reports. The data import feature is the most flexible I've used among other ERPS, really convenient for journal entry imports. The financial reporting function also allows for adequate customization. Only issue for me is that I cannot export in xlsx formats!

I use for accounting and maintenance of books as per the standards. Helps me to maintain supporting documents at one place instead of multi storage locations. Helps me to keep track of the entries by using audit trail which identifies the number of persons who modified the transactions. I can assign tasks to my subordinates & keep track of the tasks instead of doing in a separate software.
Any reversals or amounts received from vendors cannot be recorded as General journal does not allow me to include vendor name, so I had to use any expenses GL code for posting such entries.
  • Maintaining the supporting documents
  • keeping track of the audit trail
  • restricting the user level access
  • Posting payments to specific bill, thus helping to tag the payment to correct bill and doesnt require special process for linking the bills with payment
  • Showing adjustment entries separately, so any entries posted after books closure can be viewed individually
  • Need to post receipts from vendor using vendor name, instead of posting as an General Journal
  • Option to tag TDS or GST rates to vendors, so it automatically calculate the value in AP entries. I usually have to calculate the values manually & post but it sometimes result in error because of change in rates
  • Set threshold limits to GL codes, so it triggers warning when the transactions/balance is those GLs exceeds the limits. Like in case of petty cash, if any cash receipt from single person per day exceeds 20,000 then its a red flag.
  • Option to calculate depreciation based of the rates linked to particular Fixed Asset
Ease to maintain books where I do not have to learn any specific function codes. Helps to keep track of the entry from origin to the end thus able to identify who made what changes. Generate reports based on the customization so I do not have to do it manually. It has better comparisons between months or years thus easy to analyze the financial data.

Our organization migrated from SAGE 300, so Sage Intacct added significant efficiencies by being a cloud product. Sage Intacct is user friendly, robust, and implementation was very manageable. We needed a solution that moved everything to the cloud, included reporting, fixed assets, and had intuitive import capabilities. The migration and implementation was an overwhelming success. Sage Intacct is a must-do for any SAGE 300 user without question.
  • Financial Reporting
  • Drill down capabilities on transactions
  • A/P process
  • A/R invoicing
  • Importing in various scenarios
  • Property Management (in beta release)
  • Cash Management rigidity
Well suited: small to medium sized companies with businesses that run standard G/L accounting, A/P billing, vendor management, document attachments to vendors, A/R billing, financial reporting and the ability to create infinite types of reports easily and without the need for any outside help
Less robust: property management beta module is very rough, some of the construction reporting

I use Sage-Intacct daily, all day, everyday of the week. Being an accountant I feel this software is crucial for our company. We are a publicly traded company, this was mandatory with our auditing firm. Also, Sage-Intacct works well with other parts of our company. Such as with AMEX, we use Nexonia which works very well with Sage-Intacct.
  • Paperless Transactions
  • AMEX/Nexonia correlation
  • Dimensions, Markets, States, etc...
  • Being able to edit Charge Payoffs
  • Being able to edit Manual Payments
  • When needing to duplicate an invoice, not having to resave the attachments when going in to add more to a duplicate transaction.
I feel for any company who is not a "Mom and Pop" shop, Sage-Intacct is amazing! Other than that I would not recommend to another company (small companies).

We use sage as our accounting and project management software. It helps to keep track of our projects separately where in the past they were more spread out. The ability to switch between multiple entities smoothly is very important to us and sage allows us to do that. It also allows us to make inter-entity transactions easily where in the past we would have to book separate entries in multiple entities.
  • Inter-entity transactions
  • Project tracking
  • customizable reporting
  • More customization in non-financial reports
  • Ability to void payments, then edit the original bill amount
  • developer Loan draws
Sage is well suited for accounts payable and basically all aspects of general accounting. The cash management is harsh in the fact that if a bill was entered incorrectly and a check was printed there is no way to void the check and change the amount of the bill. The bill must be reversed, then a new bill created, but the problem is the bill cannot have the same number as the original bill even though in reality it is the same bill, a payment was simply misprinted.

In my organization I use Sage for the accounting functions as well as time and expenses. The product addresses keeping project costs recorded as well as other accounting functions. The project also addresses being able to put all employees and 1099 employees to a project code and keep them in an organized manner.
  • Keeps track of project costs
  • Store employee information
  • Keep track of financial information
  • More customization of layout
  • More customization of colors to keep organized
One scenario based on my experience that Sage Intacct is well suited is that it stores financial information. The system does a good job at this, but on the other hand its less appropriate. One way it is less appropriate is that when it comes to journal entries. For Journal entries you can only upload one at time. It would be better there could be multiple journal entries submitted at once.

We use it to service our clients for their bookkeeping needs. We do not run into many issues other than sync errors with bill.com
  • Reports are very easy to access
  • Very user friendly
  • Be able to run multiple locations at once in a general ledger report
It covers all areas of accounting that our clients need.

It is not as easy to use when you have a ot of different locations and need to run a GL for them all together.

I am the reporting accountant for a recruitment company and use the software for all management accounting processes inc journals, invoices, receipts, cashflow etc. These processes are routinely completed every period end and are done by the team of 5 accountants and various other finance employees. Journals are uploaded via import, this allows us to save time on data entry and rely on accuracy of output
  • journal import
  • invoice attachment
  • bank feed
  • bank reconciliation (split of bank payments)
  • error message on journal import failure
  • interface
on bank reconciliations the bank feed doesn't allow you to select more than 1 item and then match to Intacct tab. This means we have had to go in and amend Intacct entries so that they're split out exactly the same as bank but this shouldn't be needed as totals match so should be able to click match on more than 1 entry.

I use Sage in create invoices, receive payments, bank reconciliation
  • Applying payments to specified invoices
  • Searching Invoices by number or by Customer very Easy
  • Can open many instances same time
  • will be amazing when we re=verse a payment for an invoice already paid, we could edit this invoice and make changes, because now is not possible to make these changes.
  • when looking for a customer it's will be preferable to enter either the first or the last name and the client will pop up.
I was working with Sage 300 before and I can see the difference between it and Sage Intacct, it's really easier to navigate and print any report.

Switching from Sage 100 to Sage Intacct is likely the most significant blunder I've made in my career. They market as a contractor software; In my opinion, it is not! In my opinion Sage Intacct lacks basics contractor functionality like insurance compliance, payroll, the process to do a two-party check is a 'workaround' and time-consuming. In my experience if an invoice gets paid and wasn't market billable you can't bill it; in my opinion, the job costing reporting filters are a complete joke and a massive step backward from 100. In my opinion Sage Intacct is a Snake Oil, you pay more for way less functionality.
  • In my opinion burying items entered at entity level
  • In my opinion pushing good employees into wanting to quit
  • In my opinion, costing more than better software
  • Accounts Payable
  • Payroll Reporting
  • T&M billing
  • Job Cost Reporting
Was a huge fan of Sage 100 Contractor, if you're looking at more featured software as your company grows in my opinion do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

I have used plenty of ERP systems and accounting systems. but I have not seen an accounting system this easy to use. the reports are easy to run. The Accounts payable process is very streamlined and has the tools to make payments go out easy. the upload portion is simple to create and saves plenty of hours. reclassing is a couple of buttons and easy to do. it makes accounting enjoyable
  • Easy uploads
  • Simple reclass
  • 1099 easy
  • export data
  • connection to banking
  • better dashboards
they are pretty good at accounting. if everything is fixed to the liking of your organization. In another nonprofit we used Blackbaud. which is good with all products. intact you can connect it to other software it does not have to just be Blackbaud products. we have concur connected to the intact and we have Microsoft CRM. I would like to see how it keeps track with inventory and commisions.

Sage Intacct is a great Cloud base ERP system especially in this new working world with work from home. It addresses our AP and PO processes being all on the cloud instead of a VPN which is easily accessible. It also helps with our financial statements and it makes going through a financial audit very easy.
  • The amount of backup you can attached to everything
  • How easily accessible the website is
  • Good Fixed Asset Module
  • When making a mistake, it is very easy to correct
  • PO process is very easy, but we can't fully rely on it at this point
It is very easy to use, for accounting it helps us make all journal entries recurring when needed, along with being able to make massive uploads and correcting entries if there is a mistake. The restrictions you can add to minimize mistakes is also a very good feature. PO process is simple, but for our business with the amount o f change orders we have, it cannot be relied upon.

Currently used for financial reporting purposes. Previously used for expense reporting also however due to limitations we experienced we switched to a new expense management software that syncs to Intacct. The transition from an Intacct perspective was almost seamless and the support team was very responsive is getting us set up correctly. We use Intacct for all of our entities and the consolidation and import feature Intacct provides supports this.
  • Integrations with other software
  • Consolidation of various entities
  • Controls and approval limits as default
  • Expense management - user interface
The product is suited to Multi entity businesses. It is also beneficial for multicurrency entitles as the Fx rates feed live everyday and it allows modification to balance items. Larger companies that require several different input types , for example a file import, as there are supported in Intacct and reduce manual data entry and minimize human errors.

Was in search of an ERP that would integrate seamlessly with our existing construction based software. After using another popular accounting software, realized that the platform wasn't up to task.
Dealing in a multi-entity environment was nearly impossible to manage previous to Sage Intacct.
  • Multi-entity environment
  • Highly customizable
  • Seamless integration
  • Sage University could be more robust. Seems unnecessarily simplified.
Sage Intacct is the preferred ERP in my opinion for the construction industry. Having previous experience in hospitality, I'd say it would be top notch in that industry as well.

We started using Sage Intacct for the multi-entity reporting. Before this product, we were not able to share customers, vendors, or create consolidated reports on a timely basis. We are now saving so much time and can analyze our data within a few minutes instead of days. We no longer pay vendors twice and have standardize our invoicing across all entities.
  • Share customers
  • Consolidated reporting
  • Share vendor lists
  • Formulas drop when exporting reports to excel
  • Too many modules are shown for our need of business
  • List views can be long and hard to read
The customer service and implementation team were amazing. They answered all questions and made us feel comfortable to make the switch. The multi-entity capabilities have helped us save time and money as we are now able to enter our bills and invoices more timely and efficiently. We are also able to create reports we never had time or thought for before Sage Intacct. The only downside is that we see too many modules/areas that are not applicable to our business. This can be confusing for any of our new users. This is our only compliant.

I use this for Fixed Asset reviews, posting and importing sales entries and posting wholesale invoices as well as other month end reconciliations. I have formerly used it for accounts payable, prepaid entries and recurring entries, budgeting and reporting. The import features are extremely helpful in posting sales and larger journal entries.
  • Importing large journal entries
  • Downloading large amounts of data for financial reporting
  • Audit tracking for changes made
  • User friendly interface
  • The fixed asset module never worked properly for our company. We tried several times with the Sage team to get the data imported to a Sandbox and it never functioned properly in the long run.
  • Occasional glitches with AR Invoices where the "invoice number is already in use" but it is an original number.
Intacct has an easy-to-use interface. The options and customizations to create custom reports are pretty straight forward and easily explainable to others. The custom report feature is really convenient once figured out and can provide a lot of data the preloaded reports do not provide. It is easy to import large transactions on the GL, as well as past data in mass imports.

This product helps streamline accounting tasks such as journal entries, cash management, accounts payable and accounts receivable, invoicing. I mainly use the Accounts receivable functions, such as receipting payments and depositing to our bank through the Sage system. From there I use the AR and AP functions simultaneously to use the Cash Reconciliation factor.
  • Invoicing
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Accounts Payable
  • I recommend that when viewing a customer or vendor in a specific entity it should show you their invoices and payment statuses
I have used multiple different accounting software and this is by far the easiest to understand and use. The user interface is kind of clunky, but once you figure it out, it becomes easier to follow from start to finish. Intacct seems to interact with numerous other software systems to allow for seamless integration.

We use Sage Intacct for full cycle accounting and reporting and have even started to use the more advanced report features to create custom reports that are unique to Sage Intacct. It helps manage all of our data and organize it into easy to use data storage for future manipulation.
  • Data organization
  • Custom reporting
  • User friendly
  • data integration
  • module updates
  • Excel exports
Sage is very user friendly and makes onboarding new accounting professionals easier and faster. The dimensions features rather than incorporating those into the account strings is something that adds versatility and makes it future proof so that when new business units come on line or there is a need for added reporting we can pivot to pull in additional data without the need to completely rework the GL.
