Sage Intacct is a cloud-based financial accounting software system with functionalities for small to mid-sized businesses. Sage Intacct delivers an array of core accounting applications such as a general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and order management to any accounting department or finance team. It also supports functionality for built-in dashboards, real time reporting, time and expense management, project accounting, revenue management, and global consolidations for multiple entities.

We use Sage Intacct for all our accounting needs. We use it for AR, AP and Cash Management.
  • Reporting is easy
  • Accounts Payable is very easy to pull up paid invoices
  • I like how easy it is to find answers to questions without having to call support.
  • Accounts Receivable needs the ability to post a overpayment or advance to a customer without having to use advance payment option. Having to create a payment summary, than go to advances just to post a payment is time consuming.
  • Accounts receivable needs the ability to search by last name.
Sage Intacct Accounts Payable is great for when you post an invoice and than realize after that you have the wrong GL code. If it hasn't been paid, you are able to go in and change the coding.

I use Sage Intacct for all AP & AR needs of our company. The product addresses account reconciliations, processing billable invoices, vendor invoices, and payments received.
  • Ease of entering invoices.
  • Pulling reports of both vendors and clients.
  • Integrating with Nexonia.
  • The billable box sometimes auto fills when entering invoices and has to be deleted.
  • Credits are not the easiest to apply in AR.
  • The application of credits in AP is a bit confusing to understand.
It's overall a very user friendly product with a nice screen layout.

I use it for order and quote processing + inventory partially. It helps keep everything structured, organized, and easy to process. It's very user friendly and was fairly easy to pick up the basics of quickly while training. It makes it easy to convert quotes to orders and allows everyone with an account within the company to access everyone's work with ease.

It may be difficult to use if orders contain a high volume of detail per line item.

We use Intacct to put in our account payables. It helps us keep everything organized with the proper backup needed for audits. It makes it easier to go back and view any documents that we may need and make changes as well. It has been an excellent service and has never let us down.

I use Sage to keep track of multiple locations, their inventory levels, expenses and revenues. Accounting for grants, differentiating between the grant rules and regulations. Healthcare billing, keeping track of customer and insurance payments.

Currently use Intacct to manage all matters related to A/R and A/P. Track job completion, payments, POs, and project managers. As first use site seems to offer a lot of powerful solutions but does not seem intuitive enough for a new employee to jump in and start utilizing the benefits without extensive training. I should not have to spend hours customizing my views to allow myself to work effectively. Most users needs should be relatively generalized across industries and the site's default setup should reflect that. The search function is also very ineffective.

  • Search views need to be heavily customized to be useful
  • The search feature is too specific to allow for easy searching. If I knew the exact details of what I was searching for I wouldn't have to search for it.
Project financial tracking is easy on this system once you have it set up for your industry and workflow. Without spending hours to customize to your needs it feels barebones. In my opinion, it is geared towards power users not your general employee base.

We use sage intacct on our day to day finance operation. Our organization switched from other application last year and we are extremely happy with the Sage intacct cloud accounting software that can perform exactly the way organization require , Sage intacct has extremely helpful community , resources and support system. Setup was extremely easy and many categories with multi functionality was key positive aspects of this product. We wanted our new accounting software will create multi layer of department , grant and sub - programs that will convenience for us to reporting, analysis and other key business decision making process.

We use Sage Intacct for outsourced accounting services to our clients. Provides cloud based solution to provide outsourced accounting for multiple clients in a remote work environment. Product provide a simple and intuitive SAAS that allows us to cross train multiple employees across our clients and integrate new employees quickly.

  • Memorized reports feature is helpful
  • Trial balance headers do not freeze to top of the screen
  • Can not show trial balance net of Debits and credits
  • Opening certain parts of ERP (GL Detail) opens a new window which gets messy
I would recommend this to any company looking for an ERP and it has served our client who provides leasing. I have not seen that this ERP would be appropriate for inventory management and consumer product companies. A fixed asset integration would be helpful for many clients, even in a limited capacity.

It addresses the business need for a secure place to house all financial information. Sage Intacct has been instrumental in providing quick information to necessary stakeholders within the company, and provides tools to effectively solve customer concerns.

  • Sage Intacct is slow to respond to immediate needs, taking days/weeks at times to solve problems or get someone on the phone to address your concern.
  • Sage Intacct caps your report lines to 25,000 rows, and it not sustainable for large reporting.
Sage Intacct has scaled well with our small business. It has addressed many of the main areas of concern regarding financials for our company, but lacks the ability to both scale with a large business (due to reporting cutoffs) and address specific concerns (slow customer support). I have been very impressed with how user friendly Sage Intacct is however, providing a unique way to interact with customers and provide them the information necessary to feel comfortable with our handling of their invoice history. Overall I think Sage Intacct has been a great resource, there's just a few things (listed above) that keep it from the top tier.

I use Sage Intacct daily to review GL account transactions as well as the trial balance as a whole. I am able to drill into specific AP activities and see attached .pdf invoices if any questions arise. At month's end, I upload Journal Entries prepared in Excel. If adjustments to journal entries need to be made due to late invoices coming in that need to be accrued or correcting errors, making the updates to existing journal entries (as long as the period has not been closed) is user-friendly. I also pull account detail when questions arise from specific accounts, with periods ranging from a single month to a full year.

  • Drilling into AP Invoices.
  • Drilling into Specific Customer Accounts.
  • Cash Reconciliation.
  • The ability for a second upload batch in a single JE.
  • AP Advances and applying payments are sometimes confusing.
Month-end close is a very smooth process thanks to Sage Intacct. I am able to view all JEs in each specific journal (GJ, PYRJ, CDJ, etc.) and ensure all entries have been booked. Ad hoc entries, even large ones, are also easy to track because of this functionality. For our needs with a large number of cash transactions, the cash reconciliation process could be more user-friendly in terms of seeing accurate check numbers and check status (cleared/OS).

I use Accounts Payable, Positive Pay, & Reports applications. It has helped streamline a few processes that were previously manual, which has been a big help. This has helped us become more efficient & productive as a team. Use case in place we have certain users with access to accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management without access to the other applications. We implemented this to have controls in place so there isn't conflict of interest.

  • the implementation process wasn't as smooth, & it's not as easy to view the aging that was added from our previous accounting system.
It's an up to date accounting software with a lot of potential. Still learning the system, but it's definitely an improvement over the prior system we had. I would definitely recommend it, as it will keep you applicable in today's market. You can have users with full access all way down to just view only access. So the potential is endless, & they are constantly updating.

We use Sage Intacct for producing financial statements. We needed a software that was HIPAA compliant.
  • The ability to see all invoices to paid to vendors
  • The search function of the chart of accounts
  • Rolling up all entities into one giant entity to see how the business is doing overall
  • The ability to produce both accrual and cash basis financials
  • The fact that you cant change the account names when paying bills, reconciling bank accounts etc
  • undoing a transaction that has been posted is very confusing

We use Sage Intacct for our Accounting needs. We are a multi location medical practice. Sage helps us keep track of expenses by location. We use the various features within Sage that include bank feeds, Order Entry, AP, GL, etc. Sage integrates with many applications to eliminate manual data entry. It is very user friendly and offers many areas of help.

We use Sage Intacct for our Accounting and Finance needs. We have a complex business setup in that we are a nonprofit with several for-profit entities. The nonprofit operates as an economic development entity, so we deal with many grants (Federal, State, and Local). Our for-profit entities have several business formations, which we use to operate the venture capital side of the business. Sage Intacct allows us the flexibility of multiple entities that consolidate into one parent entity.

For Accounting, in AR, AP and projects and Budget. In employees we can't import the Cost rate every week we have to import 150 employees in Sage and we manually ad cost rate in Sage, also we can't mention over time cost rate in Sage.

We use Sage Intacct as our new accounting software, it will replace using Sage. We will be using it to record PO's, Purchase invoices and the approval system included within it. We will also being using AR to raise customer invoices, advances and payments. We will also use the cash management, which links to our live feed of the bank to reconcile the bank more accurately and in real time.
  • Imports to bulk update supplier details
  • Approval processes for PO/AP invoices - being able to have different levels of approvals and it to be recorded within the system
  • Links up to Barclays bank to create live feeds for reconciliation
  • Reconciliation for bulk advances in AR - they automatically allocate and usually incorrectly. Would be helpfully to be able to see full list of advances and invoices raised to be allocated with ease and accuracy
  • Templates - To highlight more easily which columns are required to be filled in to make new imports easier.
  • Include more valid country codes into suppliers payment details
Being able to have multiple entities open and available at the same time is convenient and reduces the time you waste logging in between companies, which I've experienced when using Sage. Also having an approval process for PO's, AP Invoices and payments, which is recorded within the system is great for audit trail. However within AR advances and adjustments, they can be automatically allocated and can be difficult to reallocate due to not seeing all advances and invoices on the same screen.
