Sage Intacct is a cloud-based financial accounting software system with functionalities for small to mid-sized businesses. I use Sage Intacct everyday for all types of daily activities from cash application to passing GJ''s, Billing, Invoicing and customer reports and with the help of intact we can do all the accounting activities without any hassle and with at most accuracy.

Sage Intacct is providing global consolidations with our clients who have entities across the globe and are able to systemize all their businesses at one platform to have more visibility and clarity to remove other platform usages by integrating with Intacct. PO module helps tremendously for the dropship module where the client manages it on the Salesforce platform for their customers to place the orders and meanwhile, accounting and approval parts are taken care of by Sage Intacct.
  • Customization of reports and views across the module is good
  • Templates available for all the activities which remove the manual task
  • Integration between any other platforms works with minimal sync error
  • Bank reconciliation is very good with few clicks
  • Sometimes Sage Intacct takes more time than usual time to run a few reports like vendor master. And, looks to see some improvement here.
  • Credit applications to vendor invoices are consolidated at the time of application and it could have been made individually.
  • The audit trail is not up to the mark and it should track all the activities with complete details.
As I have been using Sage Intacct for the last 5 years, Sage Intacct is best suitable for small and very small businesses because of the speed and it is cloud-based it works very well with small users like 500 to 1000 pax. Moreover, it will not work like an ERP platform and small businesses typically will not have much experience with ERP software rather they can go with software like Sage Intacct. And, more importantly, the reports and financials are very accessible and within a few clicks, they can get viewed as and when required.

I see some cases where Sage Intacct is not very suitable where international taxation exists in different countries.

In our organization we have multiple level entity and multiple currency it works very effectively in that, the chances of accounting for multiple currency is reduces and taken care perfectly with the help of Sage Intacct I use the software on daily basis for the bill processing conversion of Po etc. this reduces the time taken compared to the other tools I was using earlier. It helps to work hand in hand with the Bill.com software as well. We have Philippines, Euro, Indian Rupees, USD currency which makes the financials creation easy and perfect and makes our task easy as well

We use Sage Intacct for the financial accounting purpose. We use Sage Intacct for bill processing, creation of PO, Vendor creation and we also use Intacct for reconciliation purposes, and it helps at the time of books close. we can extract report of all the GL codes for any rectification purpose in our process.

  • Improving in the sync error area with explanation.
  • Many windows open when we click the new tab. This area can be improved.

Sage Intacct is a brilliant tool which provides a support to help our clients to get a complete Accounting Solution Package. It is very user friendly and provides a solution for every ask and requirement of the client effectively.
  • Readymade reports – There are multiple readymade reports available within Sage Intacct, which usually serve the purpose. These will be mostly the reports which are used on a very regular basis. This shows, how the tool understands the requirements of the people. This would help management for financial analysis with ease.
  • Very good features – it has some very good features such as payment application, GJ upload, which will be very easy and anyone can perform the activity just by learning once.
  • Journal Entries – Usually posting reclassification or any other JE for that matter would be a complex process and chances of going wrong would be very high, however Sage Intacct makes it very easy and help users to understand it very quickly.
  • As soon as the payment status turns to “Paid” the entry gets blocked, not allowing us to make any changes. However, in practical scenarios, there will be instances where we need to make some corrections. It would be of great help if we could get this feature enabled.
  • Audit Log – Need to improve the audit log to provide more accurate and complete information about any changes.
  • Since we are in an era of Social Marketing – more the visual impact, more the over all impact. So need to incorporate Dashboard Feature to get a glimpse of the health of the process/company by an eagle eye view.
I think Sage Intacct is a perfect application for small and mid-sized businesses which are looking to effectively manage their accounting framework. In my experience, it enables businesses to make decisions in an informed and timely manner, helping them shape their organization in a competitive market. With the help of accurate financial statements, businesses can secure additional funding through loans or other advances, which in turn allows for expansion and increased business opportunities.

It was very refreshing to use Sage compared to the old ERP. Being in the cloud makes it super-fast. Also, the cost code structure, makes it very easy to track projects, and to get a good grip of profitability. We utilize the AP and AR modules to the fullest and do a lot of automated actions with the customers and vendors.

  • We work with a reseller for some basic reporting that should have been included.
In connection with Procore, Sage Intacct integrates well, we transfer commitments and costs between the 2 systems. For reporting purposes, we have another software, where we are allowed to show the different views. The main statements are somewhat fixed, and too heavy in detail. The dashboards are very nice and have an executive view.

With multiple portfolios, numerous entities within the portfolios, and multiple locations within those entities, QuickBooks just wasn't cutting it. We were having to create financials within Excel sheets and consolidations were a nightmare. We've since moved everything to Sage Intacct and are able to create custom reports and have elimination entities and entries for those much needed consolidated financials. It's highly customizable and I'm so glad we implemented it over 5 years ago.

Sage Intacct is well suited for multiple companies, entities, portfolios, or if financials by locations (such as residential real estate) are needed. If you just have a handful of companies or don't need granular details or consolidated financials, it's less appropriate.

In our organization, we use Sage Intacct as an accounting software, we use Intacct for bill processing, Po creation, PO conversion, to download the reports, vendor creations and modifications and we use it to maintain travel expenses, for to maintain accounts in multilevel entity, and other apps like Expensify and BILL are integrated with Intacct and during closure periods we use Intacct to get reports for reconciliation purpose.

Iwhen I was a beginner to Sage Intacct I felt it' more user-friendly and not so confusing and we could get the custom reports very easily and it helped me to pull the report for multilevel entities and editing the group vendor mapping options helped and saved my time.
Sometimes when there is an internet issue I couldn't able to use Intacct, it would be better if offline options were implemented.

We use Sage Intacct for our bookkeeping for multiple entities within our organization. The main reason we decided to use this software was because it allows us to keep the books separate for all of these entities, while also allowing us to "roll them up" into one for reporting purposes. The customization for reporting on different entities is very useful and saves a lot of time/manual work. We also really liked the dimensions they offer that also make reporting and tracking much easier.

  • The UI is not as user friendly as some of the other solutions out there

If you are wanting to manage all entities within one program (while keeping the books separate) and have the ability to report on different combinations of those entities then this is definitely for you. If you require in-depth reporting for different types of classes, departments, items, etc. then this is also going to be much better at tracking those things than a lot of the other solutions out there. If you have relatively simple books and just need straightforward tracking or reporting then I would not recommend this solution.

I use Sage for AP and AR and closing duties. We have multiple entities but when we invoice vendors it will only show Spinato's International as the company even if we are not invoicing from that company. In AP Automation we have I haven't noticed that it's making note of the addresses so it can identify the entity we're using and we have to change the entitiy on every invoice from the same vendor because it will update to the last entity that we've entered.

Sage Intacct is a very good accounting solution package used in our Organization for accounting services to our Clients business. The application is very ease to use and help in fixing the financial transactions very effectively and help our Clients to maintain their books very evidently with precise information and improve the Trustworthiness in the marketplace.
  • Reclassification of financial transaction through GJ to make the financials correct as per the Client Business requirement to achieve the financial objective for maintaining the Books.
  • Sage Intacct has Multiple reports which can be pull out at Ledger and Subledger level to do all the financial analysis.
  • The Sage Intacct has an option to apply the payment or vendor credit manually when the integration of data is not flown properly from other applications.
  • The “invoice date”, “GL Posting date” and “Payment date” is freeze, once the transaction is closed with the "Paid" Status which is virtuous with the aspect of to have a control but sometimes it will impact the financial review on the adverse sideways as well. The edit option given to the top-level users would help a lot to get them fixed whenever it is required.
  • The Dashboard features are not available for the basic plan which would help to get more benefits if included for all plans.
  • The audit log is not having the complete information sometimes which is very difficult to have a track if the user has left the organization.
The Sage Intacct application is appropriate for all Mid & Small Business organizations to handle the accounting framework which is helpful for the Business to make the important decision on a timely base which will help them to shape their firm or organization in a healthier way in the competitive market. The Business which has a very good Financial Statement with more accurateness, help them to get more funds through loans or other advances to expand their business well and do extra business.

We use Sage Intacct for most accounting-related functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, journal entries, revenue recognition, order entry invoicing, contract management, usage-based & contract billing, prepaids, general ledger, financial reporting, & budgeting. With the Advanced CRM integration with Salesforce, customer, contract, and billing information is automatically synced to Intacct making it our system of record and source of truth without the manual effort of transporting data from system to system. We also have entities in multiple countries and leverage Intacct's multicurrency and global consolidation features to report on global financials in functional currency.

  • Within Global Consolidations you can only consolidate on a monthly basis. When acquiring foreign companies mid-month, this makes it incredibly difficult to provide a consolidated OBS in USD.
  • Custom financial report setup. While very flexible, we found we had to create many account groups manually to format our reports in an intuitive way. It would also be nice if reports could be filtered by 'from' and 'to' dates, rather than by end date only and adding extra columns in the report setup.
  • Revenue recognition for custom rev rec types.
  • Ability to delete/modify data after incorrectly posting a payment on an invoice
  • Dashboards are lacking and need to be updated manually frequently
Sage Intacct is great for mid-sized companies focused on growth. It is easy to navigate and supports 95% of our accounting needs. We use Sage for our accounting system for our company. We have several different entities and it is easy to navigate between companies.

  • Invoice system is hard to bill because address do not line up with envelope labels.
  • Wish you could delete entries made in error instead of reversing.

It is used for all accounting and financial reporting purposes, including accounts receivable and accounts payable. Eventually hope to integrate a bill pay feature to make processing of payments more automated.

We manage all of our development and construction projects in Sage Intacct. The great things are that we can track our budgets and actuals, pay invoices and have the reporting we need.

The majority of Sage Intacct works well for us entering and tracking budgets and managing contracts as well as processing invoices.

I find the two biggest challenges to be the job contract and the change request/change order functions. They are labor intensive and especially with the job contract, the fact that does not show a full AIA for every invoice, only what is generated, is a huge issue. It makes this function not really valuable for us. We really only use it to pay back the projects, not for other things that I anticipated we would be able to use it for.

I use Sage on a daily basis to enter transactions such as Non PO invoices and subcontract conversion. I also run several custom reports.

  • User friendly transaction look up features
  • Good drop down menus
  • A way to tell if you're over budget after entering an invoice with a warning alert
  • An alert feature to show if a transaction you entered has been declined
  • Clearer error message details, more definitive
I like that Sage is easy to use and guides you through your transactions. I think more things should be able to be set as defaults, based on your company's needs. More alerts should be given before an inaccurate transaction gets to accountings side of the house. More definitive error messages.

I use Sage Intacct to set up estimates and job contracts for projects. I enter subcontracts and Non-PO Invoices for accounting to process. I also add insurance information to vendor listings.
  • Easy to use when entering in invoices.
  • User friendly when adding a new project into the system.
  • Simple to lookup information to check if vendors or invoices have been entered.
  • Approval process is very helpful to ensure the correct person is reviewing transactions.
  • When there is an error and work is unable to be saved, sometimes it is unclear what the issue is.
  • When adding an estimate, there are issues sometimes if a cost code has to be added.
  • Cost codes at times have issues with their sub-cost codes.
I think Sage Intacct is very user friendly when it comes to ensuring your invoices are input and approved by the appropriate party. When I have an invoice for a specific project. I enter it using the purchasing function and add it as a non-po invoice. Once it is submitted our project manager is able to go into Sage Intacct to review and approve or reject it. This process makes sure that nothing is approved and sent to accounting before being properly reviewed.

When adding in a new project estimate you are able to plug in all of the cost codes and values from the project managers budget and once it is approved it can be entered in as the job contract. Nothing can go into the job contract if it is not in the job estimate, making it easy to identify any errors of omission on the Sage Intacct users end. It also helps with a check & balance to the project managers actual budget.

I use Sage Intacct on a daily basis for client accounting purposes, whether it's for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Journal Entries, Etc. I pull a variety of reports, from Trial balances to Budget vs. Actuals to General Ledger reports for clients on a weekly basis. Closing cash is super easy as well in Sage Intacct. I also really like the friendly user interface!

Sage Intacct is well suited for demanding clients who expect a quick result and require reports to be pulled at a moment's notice. The structure of reports from Sage Intacct is well structured, neat, and clean looking when presenting them to clients. Sage Intacct is not ideal for small businesses.

I use Sage to create budgets and actual reports for executives within the company. Before Sage, I was doing these things manually out of Excel. Sage has streamlined this process for me. It also raised the accuracy of our reporting. All in all, this helped our process and has made it easier for all involved.

I use Sage Intacct daily to create vendors, process, and pay bills. Sage Intacct is wonderful at allowing you to search several properties at once. You do not have to close a property to continue in another. I appreciate Sage Intacct because it is user-friendly. Sage Intacct has multiple functions that were lacking within our last accounting software.

  • Attach the folder to the vendor.
  • Adding functionality to leave notes regarding a vendor in whole.
  • Merging documents.
  • Application can run slow at times.
Sage has worked will with processing bills. The functionality of Auto-Fill does allow time to do other essential things. Plate IQ is a very good application as well because you are able to merge invoices directly into Sage without having to manually upload them. I do like that you are able to email invoices to be uploaded to vendor folders.
