We use Sage Intacct for the general ledger of our clients that we asset manage. We record all journal entries, bill, invoices, payments and transactions through Sage Intacct. We also load our budget and produce budget v actual reports.
  • Customization of accounts/ledgers for each client
  • maintains approval matrix for journal entires
  • easy to search transactions/activity
  • Better integration with other software
Well suited for general ledger software for small to midsized companies. May not be ideal for large corporations

We were beginning to outgrow Sage 50 and were looking for future proofing the business.
Sage Intacct has multiple Dimensions and Account Groups for reporting purposes. I use these on custom dashboards to allow analysis at the touch of a button.
In addition to this we have also started to use the statistical journal entries to monitor non financial aspects of the business. Going forwrad for reporting on ESG factor this will be very handy.

We have multiple companies and will be looking at consolidation accounts in the future. This is now ready to go at the click of a button as there is a Top Level in Sage Intacct that allows you to look at all your companies at once.
  • Reporting
  • Dashboards
  • Statistical data
  • Fixed Asset register - not UK friendly
  • Vat codes - too many
If reporting is one of the main reasons you struggle with the current systems you are on then I would highly recommend Sage Intacct. The reporting is really what you make it, as it has a custom report designer and can make reports using Dimensions or Account Groups. If you have various companies under one Vat number this would also be handy as this could be run at Top Level rather than manually add vat returns together.

The Intacct community is a great feature and helps me get through most of my problems. Right now, I am working through the bank rec import module and it's just not working for my company due to the way journal entries are made and it comes across the bank.

Sage Intacct has been exactly what we needed to expand our business capabilities. The ability to track fixed assets, increase automation, and track inventory across locations and warehouses is indispensable. Reporting and budgeting across different departments within the business has greatly improved our decision making. Would definitely recommend to anyone who has outgrown QuickBooks.

Sage Intacct does well with inventory control! We have inventory in over 100 locations that needs to be tracked and valued and any adjustments and transfers that we need to make are very easy to initiate within the Inventory Control module. Reporting on inventory has been very helpful for me to give to other managers in the company to aid their decision making.

The multi-entity & global consolidations module is being used by my current company, and it produces highly respectable accounting services results. The ability to publish their financial information in a consolidated format to demonstrate to investors how well they are performing makes the clients happy, and this is crucial to maintaining the "Benevolence" of the business position.
  • To perform all financial analysis, Sage Intacct includes a number of reports that can be pulled at the ledger and sub-ledger levels.
  • When the integration of data from other systems does not flow effectively, Sage Intacct offers the option to manually apply the payment or vendor credit.
  • Reclassification of financial transactions through GJ to make the financials correct as per the client's Business requirement to achieve the financial objective for maintaining the books
  • The audit log available is not having the complete information, which is very difficult to track if the user has left the organization.
  • The Dashboard features are not available for the basic plan, which would help to get more benefits if included for all plans.
  • The “invoice date”, “GL Posting date” and “Payment date” are frozen once the transaction is closed with the "Paid" status, which is virtuous in the aspect of to have a control but sometimes it will impact the financial review on the adverse sideways as well. The edit option given to the top-level users would help a lot to get them fixed whenever it is required.
  • Once a Credit Memo is applied against any open Invoice, we are not able to reverse the same. If we have applied the Credit Memo to a wrong invoice then we are not able to correct it.
The Sage Intacct application is appropriate for all Mid and small Business organizations to handle the accounting framework which is helpful for the Business to make important decisions on a timely basis which will help them to shape their firm or organization in a healthier way in the competitive market. The Business which has a very good Financial Statement with more accuracy, helps them to get more funds through loans or other advances to expand their business well and do extra business.

We use Sage Intacct as our general ledger. We switched to it so that we could use a modern cloud-based accounting system. We wanted to be able to integrate to other systems, which Sage Intacct is able to do with many different third-parties. We use its electronic approvals to help us track where purchase orders and AP bills are, which is much better than when we were doing it by paper. We were also able to improve our fixed asset tracking by using a module in the software instead of Excel.
  • Document attachments
  • Integrations
  • Dimensions
  • Reporting could be more flexible
  • Vacation delegation for AP Bills
  • Budgeting and forecasting was too simple for our use
Sage Intacct is good if you want a cloud-based system with a lot of integration possibilities. Sage Intacct is also very useful for being able to edit history while also having the audit trail on what edits were made. Sage Intacct may not work well if you have very complex reporting needs, but you would most likely be able to use a third-party add on to help with that if needed.

We use our customer's Sage Intacct accounts to pull reports and GL detail from their account ledger. That is how we perform out procedures and get an understanding of how the entity works and what types of entries are commonplace for the entity. It addresses the need to have clean, consistent data from the client.
  • Pulling reports
  • Organization
  • ease of use
  • Quicker software
  • Faster reports
  • saved reports
Sage Intacct is appropriate for a mid-sized organization that is looking for a good way to book journal entries and keep track of their accounting ledger. It is also good for people who want to be able to pull lots of data in a clean way that is easy to clean up in Excel.

Intacct helps us to post bulk entries at once and with ease. It let us look into real time financials position of a business. Integration with different portals is smooth with Intacct. Working on multiple currency and generating consolidated financial report is most beneficial feature of Intacct for our organization. Further we download customized financials reports and aging reports for Vendor and customer. Helps us to keep a track of receivables and payable with a bird eye view.
  • Posting of Journal entries
  • Integration with different portals
  • Generation of financial reports
  • Multiple currency accounting
  • Consolidation of multiple entities
  • Sync with different portals
  • Exchange rate accuracy
  • Pop up or notification if any detail is missing
  • Generating customized previous years reports should be easier
  • Buffering time could be reduced
It offers a range of applications for core financials and accounting, purchasing, order management, financial reporting, and business intelligence. The system also integrates with third-party software. Is helpful with bulk entry posting and generation of financial reports. Sometimes the buffer time is higher than usual and that's really frustrating. Exchange rate is bit different than actual rate we receive from our overseas vendors. Consolidation is really time taking process. Generating customized financials reports could be made easier.

Every day, I use Sage Intacct to input invoices, reconcile payments, generate reports, review, and compare the performance of the different stores I manage. It's a tool that helps us achieve incredible organization and increases the speed at which we produce results. Reviewing information becomes extremely easy since everything is displayed in a clear and precise manner.
  • Invoice processing
  • Reconcile payments
  • Generate reports
  • Greater customization
  • AI for reading invoices
  • More user-friendly menus
Sage Intacct operates efficiently in various scenarios within financial management. When it comes to report generation, the platform excels by swiftly compiling and presenting comprehensive financial insights. Processing invoices is seamless with its automated features, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Efficient payment management allows for streamlined financial operations. However, one notable weakness is the complexity in developing system menus, which may pose a challenge for users seeking a more user-friendly interface. Nonetheless, Sage Intacct's robust capabilities in report generation, invoice processing, and payment administration make it a valuable asset in the realm of financial management.

Sage Intacct is user-friendly and easy to use. We have generated several reports in different formats as per the requirement. Intacct has the ability to get synced with other systems such as SFDC, Q-Stock, etc. Since Sage Intacct works on a cloud platform, it's easy to access the data from any part of the world.
  • Reporting
  • Reconciliation
  • O2C contract module for 606 revenue recognition
  • Processing speed can be improved.
  • Easy installation
  • Migration
We had 606 implementations of a particular client and this was well implemented with all the requirements as per the client. We also used the MEA future of Intacct which was very helpful and this is working fine. Particularly contract module is fine and we have the ability to modify the Billing and revenue template as required

It was very refreshing to use Sage compared to the old ERP. Being in the cloud makes it super-fast. Also, the cost code structure, makes it very easy to track projects, and to get a good grip of profitability. We utilize the AP and AR modules to the fullest and do a lot of automated actions with the customers and vendors.
  • It connects with other software
  • Drill down capabilities
  • Some of the canned reports can't be modified.
  • We work with a reseller for some basic reporting that should have been included.
In connection with Procore, Sage Intacct integrates well, we transfer commitments and costs between the 2 systems. For reporting purposes, we have another software, where we are allowed to show the different views. The main statements are somewhat fixed, and too heavy in detail. The dashboards are very nice and have an executive view.

I use Sage Intacct for all accounting functions including journal entries, financial reporting, fixed assets, prepaids, accounts receivable, cash management, and general ledger. I use the product daily. It addresses reporting issues and general accounting issues such as reconciliations. There are definitely limitations when it comes to the financial reporting, though.
  • I love the dimension balance report, it adds another layer to reconciling accounts.
  • The account, location, department grouping ability make building custom reports much easier.
  • Overall Sage Intacct is user friendly and easy to navigate, which makes training new staff easier.
  • The running balance on the general ledger could just be a line item balance with a total balance at the bottom. The running balance creates confusion for a lot of people.
  • Within the reports, you can't distinguish between revenue and expense variance items. For example if the calculation you run for variance is budget - actuals, that only works for expenses.
  • Even though there are smart rules created they don't apply to automated modules such as accounts receivable. I've had employees enter in invoices without certain dimensions, and this excludes them from financial reporting. If there are smart rules set up that entries can not be posted without certain dimensions, that should apply to EVERYTHING.
I'm indifferent because while Sage Intacct is user friendly, there are still pieces that could be improved. I mentioned the smart rule scenario and how it can be overwritten in certain modules, and this in my opinion is a huge flaw. There is also an issue with duplicating locations. We use the location duplication tool to create new locations so that the info you need is already input. When you do this, it changes all of the prior locations to the new location created. This has really created a mess for us and the solution given to us was to stop duplicating items. Why even offer that feature? This in itself is reason enough for me not to want to recommend Sage intacct.

Sage Intacct is a very good accounting application used in our Organization for accounting solutions to our Clients. In my opinion, the application is very user friendly and help in fixing the financial statements very effectively and help our Clients to maintain their books very transparently with accurate information and improve the Credibility in the market.
  • Reclassification of entries through GJ to make the financials accurate as per the Client requirement
  • Multiple reports can be extracted at Sub-ledger level to do the analysis.
  • The GL Posting date and Payment date cannot be altered once the transaction is complete with the "Paid" Status which is good with respect to control but sometimes it will impact the financial review on the negative side as well. I think there should be an edit option given to the top level users at least to get them fixed.
Ithink the application is suitable for all Mid and Small Business to handle the accounting solutions which is helpful for the Business to take the decision on a timely basis and will help them to shape their business in a better way in the competitive market. The Business which has the Financial Statement with more accuracy help them to get more loans and advances to expand their business well and do more business.

Sage is our company ERP. We use the core functionality, as well as the advanced revenue recognition features. Sage solves for our ASC 606 needs by streamlining the revenue recognition and billing processes, making month-end close and reporting seamless.
  • Advanced revenue recognition through revenue recognition templates.
  • Dimensional reporting.
  • Dashboarding & KPI scorecards.
  • The prepaids module is clunky and burdensome to work in.
  • The fixed assets module is clunky and burdensome to work in.
  • I would like to see the ability to create financial reports to be more dynamic and user friendly.
Sage Intacct is incredibly user friendly, intuitive, and easy to master. It has enabled our company to utilize a range of dimensions to slice and dice our reporting for our FP&A team that would otherwise be done in Excel.

I work in Accounts Payable, so I am mainly familiar with the Accounts Payable and Purchasing modules in Sage. We have about 800-900 bills per month, many of which go through a PO process and some that do not. Some of our bills are also posted as fixed assets and so I have a tiny bit of experience with the Fixed Asset module in Sage as well.<br><br>Sage is mostly ok but has a few things that I think could be improved upon. First of all, their attachment system for attaching files such as PDFs, emails, Excel sheets, etc. to the transactions is very weird and confusing. What Sage refers to as an "attachment" is different than what most people think of when they think of an attachment. Most people would think of an attachment as a single file, such as PDF, that gets attached to an email in Outlook. This is not the case in Sage. In Sage, attachments are really more like folders in a Windows file system, and each attachment can hold multiple files. Furthermore, using the Duplication feature (which we use a lot) can result in duplicating the attachment across multiple transactions and inadvertently linking many transactions and their files, which can be very bad when a user thinks they are deleting a file from one transaction and not realizing they are deleting that file from ALL transactions that share that same attachment.<br><br>There are also issues with conversion from one step of the PO process to the next, and if things are not converted properly, it can cause errors and cause transactions to get stuck in a certain step which can require help from Sage support (who, even then, can not fully get rid of the transaction, but merely close it out).Creating custom reports is not easy as the fields that you want to select in the custom report creation screen are not always named the same as in the module where you normally see them. You have to guess and check a whole lot, and there are 10 options for something like "Vendor Name" under different sections of the report creation screen and only one of them will actually output anything and the rest output a blank column.<br><br>When looking back at fixed asset details in an AP transaction, the Asset Class is only shown as a series of random numbers instead of what you originally selected, so it makes it difficult to refer back to previous transactions to see what you did previously.<br><br>Sage does not allow you to filter and sort by custom dimensions, and this is a really big flaw. For instance, our transactions have a custom dimension called "Location" (as we have a bunch of different physical locations) and if we have a vendor that we use at all of our locations, it's impossible to filter for only one location if we are looking for an invoice from only a certain location.<br><br>Overall, it's not the worst software I've ever used, but certainly could use some improvement.
  • The % wildcard functionality is helpful for when you only want to search for part of something (vendor name or invoice number, for example, if you don't know the full name or invoice number)
  • Support has usually been good about getting back to me and being helpful in their resolution
  • Adding vendors is pretty straight forward
  • Applying credits to transactions when paying bills could be easier. You have to drill down into the credit amount in order to apply a certain credit memo to a certain invoice. Otherwise, Sage will decide which credit(s) to use for you and it may result in only part of a credit memo being used.
  • Adjusting 1099 amounts could be easier. You can only select a starting amount for the year instead of entering the exact 1099 amount that you want.
  • Needs a way to search credit card transactions (in the Credit Card Transactions section) and AP transactions that were paid by credit card in one search. Currently have to search in two places and the credit card transaction section uses "Payee" and the AP section uses "Vendor Name".
I would say that if you are doing the same things over and over and don't need a ton of functionality or don't plan on expanding your business, then maybe Sage would work well for you. However, for large corporations that have different entities, many credit card users, multiple locations, and complex 1099 situations, etc., a more flexible and robust software may be better.

We use Sage Intacct for Financial and Accounting Functions. We use the Purchasing module to enter our vendor purchases and be able to allocate between our different locations and programs to accurately track expenses and compare to budget. We use the AR module for invoicing tenants and other customers as needed. We recently launched the Fixed Asset module that we are not sure if it is being utilize correctly as we have some difficulty with how the module works and being able to track projects. The Reports module works as expected, there is an ability to create custom reports although I have not personally had to do this yet. The Dashboards feature works well and it is used quite frequently to track the performance of our different programs and locations. I like that you can easily toggle between them. The Cash Management module works well but with the credit card transactions it would be nice if we could use one of our built allocations. Currently we download the transactions from the bank and then import them but on the import it does not allow us to use an allocation so if the charge is for multiple locations it has to be manually split out on the import.
  • Reports are easy to view and can be exported.
  • Journal entries can be imported.
  • Dashboards are easy to filter.
  • Fixed Asset module does not handle multiple invoices very well.
  • Imported Credit Card transactions cannot be allocated.
  • Setting up new users is difficult to know what needs to be selected.
Sage Intacct does well if you are wanting to import transactions to reduce manual entry but you must follow the import format exactly. I think it is well suited for entering AP vendor invoices and paying the bills. In my experience, finding the correct settings for check alignment takes a lot of trial. The Dashboards function is great for giving staff a snapshot into performance.

We use it for the entire company, for our accounting software.
  • Accounts payable
  • GL reports
  • Journal entries
  • Not sure, I'm pretty happy with it.

Sage is well suited for companies with multiple entities, or just one. It is so flexible. Also, it integrates very well with other software providers, such as Mineral Tree that we use for our accounts payables program. I also like the reporting functionality in the program. It is very robust and powerful and flexible.

We use Sage Intaact for Purchase Requests, Purchase Orders, Inventory, Financial Statements and Budgeting.
We pay bills each week via check and ACH.
  • able to view past purchasing transactions easily
  • payments are able to be segregated by type of payment
  • in my experience, not easily able to pay ACH by CTX type
  • Purchasing module does not allow us to use % allocations for our building expenses
  • payment check formatting - in my opinion, this is not easily customizable
  • We were past due on a payment, and were never called on the phone. Sage shut down our entire company. We paid by credit card immediately but then Sage put a message on our screens that we are still past due even though we paid first thing this morning.
  • Budget - projection for revenue is too basic, we need to be more fu
  • Editing in the purchasing module was an all or none choice, could not customize by user type or by employee user.
  • Feels like our Account Manager just points us in other directions, almost as if his hands are tied. He should be able to make changes and assist us, but it seems he is only able to refer us to others when there are problems or issues.
  • I think it appears the right hand is not talking to the left hand, for example, our account manager had no idea that our Sage system was going to be suspended because of a $4,800 late payment that we were not aware of. We prepaid $100,000 in January for the entire year, but this fact was overlooked when the decision was made to shut down our company. We have users all over the country so they are on different time zones, this was disruptive to everyone and very unnecessary.
The fixed asset module does not have any tax related functionality.

Our Organization uses Sage Intacct for Generating Financials, processing Accounts Payable and Receivables, and Purchasing. Sage Intacct has allowed the finance team to be able to breathe a little better. In saying that, alot of responsibility was placed on our finance team to manually manage invoicing, collections, etc. We are now able to let individual departments manage their own processes and approvals through the use of Sage Intacct. It has been life changing for us.
  • Easily Process payment received
  • Pay vendors electronically
  • Maintain documents and become paperless
  • Audits are easier because backup is able to be stored in the system. So when auditors ask for something it is accessible with a couple clicks of the mouse
Sage Intacct is well suited for any sized company in my opinion. I love the ease of using the Accounts Receivable module and also Sage Intacct has helped keep up with our Assets that we depreciate.

Sage Intacct is our general ledger accounting system and is used for budgeting and financial reporting. It replaced our cumbersome former general ledger system. All office directors have access to their department dashboards to review budget versus actual expenses in real time.
  • General Ledger Accounting
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Financial Reporting
  • Office Director Access to Reporting
  • More Robust Financial Reporting
  • Easier Data Uploads
  • More Flexibility in Workflows
Sage Intacct is great for general ledger accounting, accounts payable and bank reconciliations. The add-ons for budgeting and planning and fixed assets are very expensive if choosing the Sage offered products.

We use all modules in Sage Intacct and purchased the Fixed Asset module from Wipli.
  • The ability to delete invoices through AR or Order Enrtry
  • Template uploads are very easy to correct - error notifications are specific to the problem.
  • Building reports
  • Correction of a cash posting, would be better if the whole batch didn't have to be reversed.
  • Asset module from Wipfli has had issues from the beginning and their support is difficult to work with. We purchased based upon our Sage Inacct implementation team's recommendation.
  • Better matching on bank reconciliation imports would be beneficial.
It's very easy to learn and use. The Sage Intacct community is an awesome venue to answer questions and see how other companies have handled like experiences.
