Sage Intacct is a cloud-based financial accounting software system with functionalities for small to mid-sized businesses. Sage Intacct delivers an array of core accounting applications such as a general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and order management to any accounting department or finance team. It also supports functionality for built-in dashboards, real time reporting, time and expense management, project accounting, revenue management, and global consolidations for multiple entities.

With an open API structure, Sage Intacct’s accounting solution also provides integration with any CRM, payroll, POS, or ERP system such as Salesforce, and ADP.

It is great on the accounting side. Not so great on the day to day user side. Also we need to have a contracted consultant so that we can deal with any problems we may have with the system. It is difficult to resolve by ourselves.

We have not integrated with a 3rd party product at this time; however, I have colleagues who have and are happy with the end results. I have heard several complaints about implementation so it seems you have to be prepared to compensate a 3rd party or partner to implement integrated solutions.

To be transparent, we used an outside company to help with our data migration. We had to do the mapping, and validations, but they did the scrubbing and all the heavy lifting. Having said that, the integration went as smoothly as one could hope for, given that we had 25 years of data that was super messy in certain entities.

Sage Intacct was really simple in integration into our current systems and processes. When it comes to linking Intact and SalesForce, Intacct provides valuable information into SalesForce. This lets the Sales and Support teams to be able to review accounts without needing access to another system.

The implementation process was painless. There is quite a bit of tedious work that is involved in the beginning however the process was very organized. There is a timeline done based on your needs of when you desire to have the system up and running. Each step is then entered into a specific timeline with all of the information needed and the due dates so you know what is expected when. As long as you use that there are no surprises of the information that you need to have ready. The implementation team was great to work with and good at making you think of the requirements you will need and personalizing the set up to your organizational needs. I have been through other accounting software implementations and this was the most organized and painless one I have been through.

Our integration was somewhat difficult, but that was mainly due to the exporting data from our legacy system and getting it into the appropriate formats for import templates. I believe that it would have been a fairly simple process if we had been able to gather our existing data more efficiently.

As a disclaimer, our Intacct/Salesforce integration was put in place many years ago and may have improved. The base level Salesforce integration was somewhat involved and required custom objects/fields to be created manually to meet Intacct's specifications. We then provided them with a mapping document. Also, the standard integration did not allow us to accomplish some of our more complicated order entry requirements. We ended up with a small piece of custom integration code. The credit card integration with PayPal is very easy to configure.

Sage Intacct makes it easy to integrate your old system or records into their system. You are assigned an implementation team that will help pull all the information you want in Intacct and ensures it is transferred into the software. This will save you time and help ensure everything is transferred over correctly. Adding entities and accounts, transferring information into the system is quite easy, and there is a ton of help you can get along the way.

The system is very easy to understand. It's pretty straight-forward. Additionally, Sage Intacct's customer service team is very responsive and you surely have the assurance that all issues are resolved promptly.

Through use of the API and other vendors with API capable products, there is a great capability in integrated with our system and data. As with any API however, it does require someone with strong IT/programming background to be able to understand and use these capabilities as those types of software access are beyond a normal finance person's abilities.

Our personal view on this was for us it went overall smoothly and we didn't have any major issues and all of our items that we needed addressed were done so in a timely fashion by Intacct and we again recommend this software due to the capabilities and offerings that it provides!
