Sage Intacct is a cloud-based financial accounting software system with functionalities for small to mid-sized businesses. Sage Intacct delivers an array of core accounting applications such as a general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and order management to any accounting department or finance team. We were able to import purchase requests and paid bills (expenses), vendor lists with ease. Sure, we got errors at first, but directions were clear. We do not use A/R, Order mgmt. We are happy with GL and AP. Will expand our utilization as we grow.

We have benefitted from the core function automation because we save a lot of time not having to do repetitive tasks over and over again. Also, it saves us time and money by not having to redo tasks or fixing errors that the program can prevent from happening, due to the automation in the core financial processes.

I use an outside company for Accounts Payable automation and it integrates with Sage Intacct. I did watch the demo for Sage AP automation and it was suggested at the time that we should stay with the outside automation, but I can't remember why. I have also received emails regarding AR automation and have seen demos. I would love for the automation to be able to bill my clients and post payments that are sent via ACH or to our lockbox. Right now the automation seems to be for sending out emails regarding past due invoices and for our clients to be able to log into a vendor portal and make payments. Most of our clients pay via ACH or send checks to a lockbox and we do not accept credit card payments. I have many clients that have more than one billing contact, so an auto email will not work. One client, may have one of 10 different contacts depending on the invoice number. The automations that I use are some automated journal entries, automated order entries and some automated accounts payable bills.

Out organization has benefited from automation. Alot of manual processes we were utilizing has become automated.

Example: Keeping paper copies of everything...eliminated, we know scan in everything in Sage Intacct and the user are able to refer back to the information seamlessly.

I don't believe we are using any automation for what we currently do. The reconciliation though automates everything for the month quickly that our Recon person uses to complete each bank accounts recon.

Using Sage Intacct, we have been able to complete many integrations that have made automation a reality. We utilize an API to connect our internal contract management platform to Sage Intacct for streamlined subscription billing, a connection with 2cp for an online payment portal, Bill.com for accounts payable management, and Avalara for sales tax calculation, compliance and remittance.

We have transactions automated through our internal developer teams. I don't know to what degree is our internal software and what is from Intacct but there's definitely support to make it happen. The speed of Intacct has been an issue for us. Overall, it's been a possible impact for our business.

I am not entirely sure on which automation as we post the entries as usual in General Ledger and accounts payable. Other Accounts receivable is not used by me and do not have the order management in my accounting system.

We are still very new to sage, but I can see where the automation will play a role as we develop. Recurring JE's will allow us to easily book payroll entries we make since we use a third party for payroll. Connecting bank accounts makes cash reconciliations a very simple and easy process.

With Sage Intacct automating core financial processes, our organization has benefited from this automation. One way is that it reduces the the amount of manual work that has to be done. For example for accounts receivable instead of making new invoices, the system allows you to copy any invoice, so that there is less time putting information in fields.
