Sage Intacct is a cloud-based financial accounting software system with functionalities for small to mid-sized businesses. Sage Intacct delivers an array of core accounting applications such as a general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and order management to any accounting department or finance team. It also supports functionality for built-in dashboards, real time reporting, time and expense management, project accounting, revenue management, and global consolidations for multiple entities.

We have used automation with journal entry uploading but would like a better training lessons on other automation features that Intacct offers for General Ledger. We do not have any other automation features that our organization has benefited from besides loading and financial reports that could run on a schedule. Accounts payable and receivable seem to be manual based on entries. It could be more streamlined by scanning invoices and auto-populating.

We have definitely taken advantage of the automation that Sage provides. We have different APIs set up for many of our different entities to send usage to the software to be able to bill out. This reduces the amount of imports created every month. Not only do we use it for accouts receivable and billing, but we also use it in accounts payable with our AP sofware which is called Tipalti. There is direct syncing to the AP module for GL recognition.

The invoicing module saves us a lot of time and is easy to navigate, saving us time in our AR process and makes training easy. The general ledger module is very robust and makes it easy for us to analyze results using various reports.

I love how the modules work, however, if the administrative settings are set right (human error) them modules don't speak.

There are some issues with the Manual payments entries, allocations are not an option there and we really need them to be.

My organization definitely benefits from these processes. We recently signed a new clients who primarily deals with accounts receivable, after the first quarter, we decided to change the process in which we would like to record transactions, and it has been a very easy transition.

We have benefitted as an organization using Intacct's general ledger because I can always stay up to date on what projects are expensing what, what their budgets to actually like in regard to each kind of expense, and the consolidated reports it can pull from the reports imported into the GL.

I only focus on one piece of the Intacct tools available to our organization although it's been working great for years. I would say the automation had been working very well for us in that aspect.

As I mentioned in a prior comment, the ability to have both billable expenses and our t&m based projects automated from a billings perspective has saved us literal days on our monthly close.

Global consolidation previously took about a day each time. We now press a button and accomplish it in minutes or less. Our internal "billing" between entities is aligned for sales orders and purchase orders instantly and saves much time. Receipts easily upload from our manufacturing system, which means matching to receipts has also saved us much time as well.

While we don't currently utilize the Accounts Payable features to their fullest extent due to having a third party software in place for that already (which integrates with Sage) we do utilize Accounts Receivable and General Ledger heavily. The Accounts Receivable automations simplify and streamline sending invoices and statements, and with proper setup you can automate collections reports to be delivered to the appropriate people. The live closing feature of Sage within the general ledger eliminates the need to manually process closing entries and reduces month-end close to tie-backs and reconciliations. The recurring journal entry feature simplifies allocation of prepaid expenses, subscriptions, etc.

Within the categories mentioned in the question, we have about 8 different platforms that integrate with Intacct. The automation seems to be working nicely. Although we also us Salesforce and we are able to send information from Salesforce to Intacct smoothly but when any kind of info is sent from Intacct to SF, there's almost always a problem with integration.
