iVend Retail is a versatile POS software that has helped retailers to increase sales and optimize their business processes. One of the primary use cases for the software is the implementation of an omnichannel strategy, which has enabled businesses to sell across multiple channels seamlessly. Users who adopted this approach have been able to achieve higher conversion rates and improve customer satisfaction.

Another significant problem solved by iVend Retail is the integration of various systems. The software is built with a modular design, which makes it easy to integrate with other systems, such as SAP or logistics providers. By doing so, users have been able to streamline their inventory management processes, reduce errors and save time. Additionally, businesses that experienced rapid growth have been well served by iVend Retail’s scalable architecture, which can handle thousands of sales with ease during peak times.

Ease of Use: Many users have found iVend Retail to be very easy to use, with a clean and uncluttered POS screen designed for touch screen operation as well as using keyboard and mouse. The software's simple interface has made it easy for businesses to train their employees on how to use the system effectively.

Functionality: Users have praised iVend Retail for its great functionality, which simplifies processes for managing sales, creating a wonderful shopping experience for customers in stores. The software provides many useful dashboards like sales dashboard, loyalty dashboard, and merchandise dashboard that help analyze sales trends and customer behavior.

Support: Several reviewers have appreciated the support provided by iVend Retail team members who are responsive in case of any issues or queries. The TRC team from Dublin provides tremendous pre and post-sales service, which is crucial in ensuring the software works as intended.

Challenging Implementation: Many users have stated that the implementation of SAP B1 integrated with iVend Retail was challenging and caused numerous issues during deployment to production. Some users had to face problems related to inventory adjustments, resulting in delayed production.

Slow Support: Several customers reported slow support from iVend Retail, and they were not very specific about what caused the problems. This resulted in additional frustration for the users as they could not resolve their issues promptly.

Product Cost: A significant number of reviewers reported that the product and licenses were somewhat costly. The increasing license price over time has become a concern for many businesses using iVend Retail.

iVend Retail is at its heart a next-gen retail platform. It allows everyday transactions to be processed and when linked in with SAP, allows fully accounting abilities and three-way match for stock purposes. There are a number of add-ons that can also link in with iVend if required.
  • Recording sales
  • Stock management
  • Sales reporting
  • Other ERP connections
  • Cross language support
iVend Retail is very scalable, so can be used for small retailers, as well as multi-branch retailers. As the software is intuitive, training times are not extensive and allow a user to progress with other areas as they become familiar with the software. Any retailer will be familiar with the functions within a POS package, but there are many extra in iVend.

  • Low initial cost to implement
  • Omni channel at the centre
The alternatives in the market may be able to achieve some of what iVend does, but there is not an alternative around that can offer all options. iVend has POS, loyalty, ecom, passes, ERP and much more out of the box, without having to customise. This results in a low overall base cost.
