We have used other collaboration software in the past and we seem to keep running into the same problem. They have big dreams [of] bringing in big companies and we personally cannot make this work within our smaller business. We are somewhere between just using Microsoft Office for all of our processes and needing to get to a larger software like Jama [Connect].

Jama Connect is extremely effective when it comes to streamlining collaboration. Whenever something needs approval from someone, we are able to send a notification to them, and they are able to take care of it when they see that notification. It pings that person to let them know that the task is outstanding.

It's effective and makes collaboration easier, you can quickly share a requirement for review across various stakeholders. Also, you can track the change history and assign requirements to various ongoing projects.

Jama is quite effective at this. The tracing is what makes a difference if you actually use the system. Being able to trace work/requirements/tasks across a lifecycle allows teams to make informed decisions based on data and not 'feel' or guesses. Collaboration can always be increased as new tools are developed and new methods are created, but it is rather easy to collaborate across teams and organizations.

It's much more effective to streamline collaboration and other activities. This is because it does not require multiple login to the system, all the features are interconnected without the difficulties to look around or search for.

This is by far better than IBM Doors in terms of collaboration and ease of us. My teammates were reluctant to use such tool after a bad experience with IBM Doors, but they are now completely in love with Jama Connect.

Jama is being used as a test management tool in my company. Am using Jama since 3+ years, and i can tell you that this was one of the best Test management tools I've ever used. Everything is so easy to understand and the interface is user friendly. Easy to use and can learn this tool fastly. I use this for Test plan, Test cases authoring, Test execution and results review along with the close out documentation.

I definitely recommend other organisations to use this tool.

Very effective. Jama Connect allows us to collaborate, review, and trace without thought. Being able to put these crucial elements aside and focus on the content makes this tool invaluable. Other tools that don't do this well make you spend more effort on the tool and less on the product. Having the traceability being a key part of the collaboration with features like "suspect links" is also crucial, because the individual design inputs are equally important as how they all come together.

Jama is the way we are able to streamline reviews, and traceability of requirements. I will say that we dont use Jama to collaborate drafting requirements or iterating on requirements, we spend more time outside of the tool and in discussion. The final requirement ends up in Jama, and I have added a Change Request process to facilitate evolution of requirements. (by creating a CR item in Jama and creating sets of CRs across projects). CRs go through an approval in a Jama review.

The internal model for Jama is sound, and traceability and suspect links are some of the best tools that we have. However, interoperability is not the best, and many times the requirements being provided by other parties needed a lot of massaging before being able to be imported in Jama.

I have not used other requirements management software, so I cannot comment on the comparability of Jama to other services. Jama, however, has been very effective at allowing collaboration between stakeholders and establishing/maintaining traceability.

We did our best to find a different tool, from Atlassian marketplace, and failed. In the end we paid annual fee for Jama Connect and Tasktop TIH together at the minimum level. The overall cost of Jira/Confluence/Jama/Tasktop is a lot for a small company to handle each year, especially without a dedicated administrator.

The review center functionality for requirements is very good. It allows us to collaborate inside and outside of our organization. Traceability management is great, but it is a wee bit clunky to produce the actual traceability documentation we need to satisfy regulators. We are looking at methods of integrating with other software management tools, and believe the rest API will allow us to link those systems together effectively.

Review management is a very powerful feature of Jama Connect highly appreciated by the users. It's very convenient for our projects context where people are distributed in several world region. Managing review previously was a little bit complicated because of time zone constraint, now we Jama it's becoming a pleasure. Then now the reviews are more often done and the result improved.

I have not used other requirements management tools, but I have chatted with other engineers who have used other systems (MS Office, JIRA, Doors, DNG) and I am pretty happy with Jama. We don't use the collaboration features too extensively (except maybe review center) because we have other communications platforms, but I think if it was more easily integrated with JIRA that would change drastically.

Jama is well managed in the sense of traceability, reuse, export or importing batches etc. Reuse operation is very useful to avoid redundant work. Jama reviews are helpful in case someone needs to review the requirements before approving it. Then, we can add multiple reviewers. This functionality is good in all other tools. Upstreams functionality is useful when we have two or more epics or stories upstream.

Jama is very effective at tracking changes. We previously used Excel to track our requirements and version control would get out of hand, or documents would get locked out. Jama is great for providing live updates and easy to reference versions of each change.

When compared to other technologies or approaches, Jama Connect can be said as a platform that has too many features and functionalities.

Jama Connect has a feature to reflect daily activities and workflow going on any client project.

Reviews and streaming collaboration can be made or done by any employee on its respective project.

Therefore, traceability of requirements can be maintained through this.

We have used various tools in the past to help mitigate risk and much more, but I must say to date Jama is a lot more effective. I have found it very easy to identify changes and updates to requirements. The "activities" feature works very well to meet my needs.
