Sharing an iPad with multiple students (Shared iPad mode) is very helpful for us. Each student can have their own profile with own settings stored.
Apple devices are not very enterprise friendly, compared to Windows, so Jamf Pro helps bridge that gap especially with the help of Jamf Connect for idp authentication.

Well suited for any organization that wants to manage apple products. It's extremely easy to integrate and has many connectors for existing enterprise infrastructure applications. Certificate management is a breeze. Not so suited for smaller businesses that only have 10-20 devices. Jamf has another product called JAMF Now that would suffice for those areas.

Before Jamf Pro was implemented we had to manually image each device separately. This would sometimes cause inconsistency between devices. With Jamf Pro this was immediately rectified as it is allow managed within the portal and remotely deployed to devices once they have connected with Jamf Pro.

Apple security updates have always bee a issue to deploy to devices remotely. Jamf Pro has only recently added their own way off managing this through the portal. However before this using the accessibility of Apple devices Jamf Pro offers there are many options to implement that help manage the deployment of updates.

I am a 1 person IT department and I handle 3 locations. The ease in which I can control everything has made my job a lot less stressful. That is priceless to me. I student loosing a iPad I located the iPad lock it and send a ping. I can see right away if it's in the school or at home. what's not to love.

I think Jamf Pro is mainly suited to larger companies however smaller businesses would also make good use of this software. Being a global company, we heavily benefit from this software. A prime example would be if a user from NZ for example had their laptop stolen, any IT support specialist from around the globe in our company could pick up this issue and lockdown the laptop via Jamf Pro preventing an avalanche of issues.

I think anywhere Apple devices are managed Jamf Pro is well suited. It only wouldn't be appropriate in organizations without a significant Apple footprint.

If you're looking for a Mobile Device Management solution that will handle a range of varied platforms, this isn't the MDM for you. Jamf products are built specifically around Apple products and the management thereof. That being said, it provides and delivers the tools for managing your fleet of Apple products better than any other vendor out there.

Jamf Pro is well suited to manage iOS and MacOS devices for any medium to large sized organization. New device provisioning and management are its strong points. The product could be improved with better patch management and remote access features, but this is something I know Jamf has been working on implementing.

If you have more than 5 of iPhones/iPads/AppleTV's or Mac's that an endpoint management tool like Jamf will help you out in HUGE ways. You'll reduce your overhead, improve your endpoint security and make your overall IT Experience/support much easier!

It's well suited for firms with large or growing fleet of devices. I can only say about macOS device management, as for mobile devices we have a different solution. But I had a chance to play around with mobile device management using Jamf on one of the trainings using Sandbox, and I can say that you can totally use it for managing iOS/iPadOS/Android devices as well.

Jamf Pro is well suited in Mac MDM and in the granular control of those devices. It allows for zero touch deployment which is phenomenal. It does lack ability to do some things on the iPhone and iPad side of things. This is restricted by Apple, but it would be nice to do a little bit more on the tablets and phones.

For managing apple devices, this is the best and clearest tool I have come across so far. Very functional for both company-owned and BYOD devices. Unsuitable for managing non-OS devices as Android is not supported.
Can be used in small, medium and large companies. Doesn't matter how many devices you have (should be at least 25 devices for Jamf pro)

Jamf Pro is designed in a very user friendly way and can be easily understandable by the support personal. I have been using tool since 2012 and it changed a lot over a course of time.
Jamf team has been maintaining a very well documentation which will be helpful if you are trying integrations. Also, once you got license you will have access to their trainings.
I love the Jamf Community and Jamf claims that it is one of the biggest user community who manage Apple devices. You know what, it is the best community I have ever seen, very responsive community.

We run a technology lending program for students. Jamf Pro has been instrumental in allowing student staff to prepare the laptops in a systematic, consistent manner. The same can be said with iPads and deploying apps to the iPads is automated. Also, extra software titles are made available in Self Service (both for laptops and iPads). Additionally, putting policies in Self Service for IT student workers to deploy to sit-down machines to run as needed is quite useful as well. Less appropriate scenarios would be in cases where there are fewer than 10 to 20 machines. Looking at Jamf Now would probably be a better use of resources. Jamf Now is not as robust as Jamf Pro, but for smaller entities it would be a better fit and a better choice financially.

PRO: Jamf Pro is terrific when you want to know you'll have support for the latest Apple MDM changes, software upgrades, etc. They offer same-day support for macOS releases. And, if you need to be able to use an API to integrate with other solutions (for reporting, inventory, etc), Jamf Pro is a great choice.

CON: You might not want to use Jamf Pro if you're new to MDM. Other solutions can be easier to work with or set up from scratch.

When managing Macs, there is no software better. It also seems that their integrated virus protection and active directory software are the best way to go. We've tried others. You can assess your inventory at a glance, create groups, and target specific computers for specific tasks. Plus, you could wipe a computer remotely if it is lost or stolen.

Jamf Pro is appropriate from a large to small organization. It offers the greatest customization support of any MDM I have tried. There isn't a better choice out there. However, if you are searching for a low cost solution without much customization or support then it might be better to search elsewhere.

Jamf Pro is great at managing a devices settings. Configuration profiles such as FileVault encryption can be used to enable and enforce encryption on computers while escrowing a personal recovery key in the computer's Jamf Pro inventory record. If the user fails to remember their FV password, the PRK can be given to them.

I believe that Jamf Pro is good for most situations, especially if you provide all the tech for your staff. BYOD policies will not have much use for this but definitely if you provide the devices for your staff, this makes it extremely easy too manage devices and deploy apps

It's great in so many ways but my favorite is how we can set them in single app mode. This way the Zoom rooms we have set up work flawlessly. I also enjoy the fact it is so easy to send apps and add key values if we need restrictions on those apps.

Jamf is a perfect solution for enterprises and requires minimum effort. Once you set it up, it doesn't take much effort to keep it running. If you want to use it to collect an enormous amount of data from devices (performance, device characteristics, etc.), it might become complicated and require additional scripting skills.

You can use Jamf Pro to centrally manage your entire fleet of Apple Devices. Jamf is the premium MDM for all your Apple interactions.
iOS and tvOS management is quite simple, also for beginners. Jamf Nation is a huge resource of knowledge based on a huge community.
The Site's integration in Jamf should be better and more customizable as of some GUI parts.
