JangoMail has been widely used as an email platform by users seeking to send professional emails to their customers and potential customers. Despite lacking certain features such as templates and intuitive design, JangoMail has served as a helpful tool for sending information and emails to clients, facilitating communication and client interfacing. Additionally, the platform has proven valuable when there is a need to quickly and efficiently send a large volume of emails to subscribers for product updates and other important messages.

Users have recognized the potential for JangoMail to integrate with other platforms like CRMs, although no one at the company has reported integrating it with their Salesforce instance. However, some users have experienced issues with error messages, particularly when not being alerted to problems with email lists and formatting errors until after sending out a significant number of emails. Furthermore, users have found JangoMail's reporting feature to be lacking, making it necessary for them to download data in order to calculate click-through rates and open rates.

Overall, while JangoMail may not offer all the advanced features found in other solutions like Constant Contact or HubSpot, it has proven valuable for its ability to efficiently manage email communication with clients and send mass emails to subscribers when needed.

Easy to Use: Many users have found the platform to be easy to use, thanks to its user-friendly interface. They appreciate the intuitive design and straightforward navigation, which makes it simple for them to navigate through different features and functionalities.

Powerful Reporting: The reporting feature of the platform has been highly praised by several reviewers. It provides solid and powerful insights that help users track the performance of their email campaigns. With detailed analytics and metrics, users can easily measure the effectiveness of their strategies and make data-driven decisions.

Wide Range of Options: Users appreciate the wide range of options offered by the platform. Whether it's creating lists with prospecting data, sending mass emails to stakeholders, or choosing from a variety of premade templates for beautifully formatted emails, this platform offers flexibility and versatility in meeting diverse email marketing needs.

Unattractive UI Design: Some users have found the UI design of the system to be unappealing and wished it had a more visually pleasing appearance.

Complicated UI Navigation: Several reviewers have mentioned that the UI design is rough and complicated, making it difficult for them to navigate through processes and figure out how to use certain features.

Issues with Editing HTML and Send Schedule: A number of users have encountered difficulties when trying to edit the HTML and send schedule. They have reported that while changes made to the HTML are recognized by the backend, changes made to the send schedule are not.

Since we are a company that needs to advertise our product to our subscribers quickly and efficiently, JangoMail serves this purpose well. It can send a large amount of email regarding the product that is coming out or other updates that I want to give my subscribers quickly and efficiently.
  • Send out mass emails
  • Easy to use interface
  • Being able to customize email templates
  • Lacking of a drag and drop feature
  • Lack of well written tutorials or documentation
  • It doesn't do well with displaying error
JangoMail is only good for sending mass email and nothing more. While its interface is simple to use, it doesn't have a good amount of features attached to it. That probably explains why it's quite cheap compared to other mailing services. It's lacking features and additional functionalities. It's a cheap alternative mainly for sending mass email though, which is nice for a company that sells product to consumers like us.
  • Sending mass mails so consumers can get an update on our newly released products
  • Quite inexpensive so we don't have to break bank for this
  • Lack of functionalities and features is a downside which caused more manual works

We used to use outlook to send out emails to our subscribers, which is not very efficient. With JangoMail, we were able to send emails more efficiently and quickly, which save us a lot of times. It is also more professional than sending through outlook. However, JangoMail is lacking in its capabilities though, I would like to see more features added in the future.

Sending information and emails to clients. JangoMail has the ability to send emails and through this interface I can easily send emails to communicate specific messages to clients. Although I do not use it often it has been extremely helpful for client interfacing problems and interactions. I would recommend this to other coworkers as well.
  • Organized
  • Client interfacing
  • Sending messages
I believe that JangoMail is well suited specifically for client interactions. Especially when needed to communicate bulk messages to clients it is a more efficient way to communicate with clients without having to send multiple individual messages. It also saves on time. I would say it is less appropriate when dealing with non client interfacing situations.

I selected JangoMail because I wanted to try something new. Usually I find myself using YAMM which is Yet Another Mail Merge but using a new interface was refreshing and it was also very easy to learn and use. I would definitely use it again in the future and recommend to others.

We were using JangoMail as the email platform for all of the marketing emails sent to customers and prospects. It is designed to be an email engine that integrates into other platforms, like CRMs. However, no one at our company had integrated it with our Salesforce instance. JangoMail is extremely primitive as compared with other solutions, like Constant Contact, or HubSpot. You need to upload lists and then compose emails. There are no templates. It is not intuitive at all. For example, after receiving notice of a problem on an email that did not go out as planned, we were told by their support people "oh there's no way that you would have known that". That was because, in the uploaded list spreadsheet, we had an extra character in an email; it stopped the whole job and did not flag us.They need error messages to prevent you from making and learning from your mistakes. We were only alerted to a problem with the interaction of JangoMail and Grammarly after we had sent out hundreds of emails that were exceptionally long and we went over our $ allowance. Then I suggested that they alert their customers about this problem and they only put a small warning on the email home page. Again, no error message when the error occurs. The JangoMail reporting is terrible; you must download the data to calculate click-thru rates and open rates, and they are an email platform?
  • The platform is inexpensive.
  • Their support people are very nice.
  • There are no templates to create emails. There are no drag and drop features.
  • Reporting should contain necessary everyday metrics, such as click-thru rates!
  • Error messages are needed on things that you just can't know any other way.
  • System problems should be highlighted at the top of every page, not just the home page.
JangoMail is only appropriate if you are looking for a cheap emailer. It should not be used as a marketing automation tool, as it is only an email platform. You should look for a marketing email platform that allows you to create better looking emails and manage your contacts. There are way better tools out there.
  • JangoMail was costing us time and money due to the problems that we were experiencing with it.

I inherited JangoMail. I would never have chosen it as a marketing tool. It is so primitive when you compare it to any of the other marketing email platforms. You need to be able to easily create good looking emails and send to various lists created within the platform.
