We use Jira mainly for Work Management extensively in our organisation for task tracking, project management, and workflow automation across various teams. Cross-platform task management has been easy ever since we started using Jira. Our use case spans across departments like design, development, QA, and even non-technical teams for tracking operational tasks such as Sales team and Customer support team where they create tickets for feature request or enchantment request from the customer feedback which directly goes into our sprint.
  • Customisable Workflows.
  • Robust Reporting & Dashboard.
  • Real time collaboration.
Cons
  • Steeper learning curve.
  • Limited Automation Without Plugins.
  • Slight Performance Issues with Large Projects.
Jira Work Management suits projects involving multiple teams, such as product development. In our case, the design, development, and QA teams use Jira to track tasks from ideation to deployment. Custom workflows and real-time updates ensure that all teams are on the same page, and the ability to link related tasks helps manage dependencies effectively.

Atlassian's Jira is a potent tool for managing tickets and projects. The portal is incredibly stable and easy to use. There are two versions available: cloud-based SaaS and on-premises data center. India is now home to Atlassian data centers. Therefore, the Jira SaaS platform can also be used to meet regulatory obligations. Agile project management frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban are used with Jira. Jira has excellent ticket management features. You may construct your change management process by using automation workflows.
  • Jira is easy to deploy
  • User Interface is easy
  • Jira reports can also be exported to excel
Cons
  • Notification features are less preferred by users due to their complexity
Detailed and granular level permission controls for better user access management. User Interface and API both support are available users can use as per their easiness.

1. Easy tracking of tasks and projects that are ongoing within a team.
2. One can create sprint cycles for a project to be finished, and assign tasks to people accordingly, which can be further used to track the progress.
3. Its integration with Slack is a cool feature, one can receive notifications easily there, without having to open Jira, because Slack is an internal team communication tool used by a lot of organizations these days.
4. I like the drag-and-drop feature for a task - for example, we can shift a task from development to the testing phase, by just dragging and dropping it.
  • Project Management
  • Tasks tracking within a team by assiging and prioritising
  • Project ideation - along with task tracking, we can update the progress in the comment section of Tasks
Cons
  • Please provide a Jamboard, for creating a roadmap for Task
  • Overall Task analysis dashboard can be created for better time management in Projects
For use as a Project management tool, Jira has the go-ahead. It can provide a good space to manage and track tasks by assigning them to the people and deciding the priority.
When it comes to communicating a Roadblock, Jira doesn't provide a separate highlighted feature for it, we will have to write it down in the comment section and somebody has to read it, like how we have a separate section for brainstorming, development, and production, there should be a section for roadblock also.

I use it to organize projects and assign tasks outside of the DevOps team. It helps me to keep an overview of anything marketing, sales, or customer support have requested from the DevOps team and anything they have requested from us that is outside of the regular development tasks.
  • Automations help me save time
  • The different views help me keep a good overview of all projects
  • The forms features is really easy to use
Cons
  • The board view could be better
This is generally a competent project management tool for any kind of business. However, because it is so similar to Jira Software, I'd suggest it is most useful for software development. It's easy to use this product for teams outside of our engineering department and have it integrate easily with all other teams across the company.

Jira Work Management is used within our organization as a planner and tracker for large-scale projects, as well as tracking possible bugs that may arise in the different business units within our company. It is an excellent tool for creating requirements and monitoring their execution, as well as monitoring the work carried out by the persons involved.
  • Bugs/Task creation
  • High level in details about who cares, about an specific issue
  • Tracking, deadlines, reminders
  • Dashboards creations
Cons
  • In some case nested information
  • Charts creation
  • A better interface
Jira Work Management adapts very well to the creation of requirements for projects, excellent for defining responsibilities, times, and the status of a task, bug, etc. Its forms cover in detail every space needed to handle issues, including budgets. However, it is not very well suited for data visualization.
