- The effects have been mostly positive as we did not previously have a company-wide tool of this type available to all employees. That's not necessarily specific to Jive as we could have used any tool, but Jive is largely up to the job.
- The only negative impact has been an occasional poor use of the tool, which has not had the desired effect of a more productive workforce.
- The ability to share information with third parties outside the company on a limited basis is a plus for collaboration with partners.

- Cannot speak for my company but it clearly had the same impact Facebook had on the outside world. It allowed everyone in all of the corners of the company to have a voice, to rate content and comment on existent content, to collaborate better with similar interest users and to develop professionally by better having visibility in what opportunities, classes, seminars are out there.
- It is NOT SharePoint and SharePoint is NOT Jive! They are different and they should be! There are features that are on the wish list for Jive to mimic from SharePoint and that is fine but the difference is clear and SharePoint will never be Jive in terms of ease of built, usability or collaboration!

Instead of sending emails to a couple different listserves and having to dig to find certain threads, we can migrate some of those discussions to Jive posts. Similarly, Jive is a space for discussions that falls outside of our normal workflow.

- Very hard to get concrete ROI numbers... same for Salesforce or any other tools.
- Overall positive impact, it trained people to work differently and collaborate. Some people work more efficiently. People need to want the change to get all the benefits from it.
- The only negative thing I can see is the complexity that those tools bring to the organization. Those tools are very user friendly and people underestimate a lot of things. It is a big mistake. These tools need a serious project team to implement. In some companies, the collaboration topic is a big mess, and so it is frequent that users have to use Jive, Google docs and some others tools. It can be confusing and not productive in the end.
