We use Jobvite as our ATS, CRM, Careers Site, and Onboarding partner. The use cases are pipeline/candidate management, social marketing, and delivery and communication about required documents/steps post-offer.
  • Transparency - hiring managers and recruiters can see the full activity/status/communication with a candidate.
  • Candidate management - the workflow helps manage your pipeline, especially with a high number of applications.
  • Careers site - our site is beautiful and effective.
  • Customization - workflows, forms, communications, etc. all customizable.
  • Onboarding suite - can build custom forms (and use out of the box forms, too) to have new hires complete required paperwork.
  • Onboarding - many fields can transfer automatically from the hiring side to the onboarding side of the system, but not all of them.
  • ATS - the structure of candidate applications (one candidate profile, but each application for each job has it's own record/info) can cause some minor inconveniences, but Jobvite has mitigated them.
We're a large, multi-entity healthcare system with thousands of applications each month and Jobvite has been incredibly helpful in managing that volume and complexity.

Jobvite is used across the organization, mainly used within the People Team (Human Resources) as an ATS and Onboarding system.
  • Applicant tracking.
  • Sharing candidate details - The ability to share candidate information across teams and hiring managers is a huge plus.
  • Candidate screening / video interviewing is a big time saver.
  • Campaigns and integrations into social media could be better.
For a company that does large volume recruitment Jobvite is very well equipped to making recruitment teams efficient and effective. Jobvite is well equipped to support pipelining and at all stages of the candidate lifecycle, from outreach and cultivation to hire and onboarding.

I love my ATS

It is currently used in our Clinical Recruitment Department as an ATS. I love how easy it is to use and the archive it creates of candidates. You encounter a lot of repetitive candidates in our field so having that historical contact information is critical as well as previous email and notes from previous interactions.
  • Workflow- I love that you can immediately see where in the process a candidate is.
  • Dashboard- The customization and overall feel of the site.
  • Feed- The fact that you can see the feed from the candidates other applications is a plus.
  • Primarily the analytics they have worked on this recently but it does take some deep diving to really understand how to put it to use.
  • Knowledge Base- Easier search criteria.
  • Back Button- For some reason my browser does not like when I want to go back, a lot of time I just start over.
I have recently worked with another ATS and Jobvite by far is more cost effective, user friendly, and overall easier on the eyes. The other system was clunky, had a lot of workarounds, and was not easily navigated. Jobvite reacts quickly, allows for a smooth transition in the processes and lifecycle of a candidate. I also love the text recruit feature. So nice to see where a conversation left off and how to pick it back up.

Solid ATS

Jobvite is set up for all active employees in the company, though it's mostly used by our Talent Team and those who are part of interview teams. Any active employee in the company can (and is encouraged to) use Jobvite to post jobs externally to their own social networks. <br><br>We use Jobvite to address needs related to recruiting and onboarding new employees. By setting up the Jobvite Onboarding module, they have helped us solve the problem of manually entering new hire data into our main HRIS. We now have a file that can be audited and imported directly into our HRIS.
  • Standard ATS module is efficient and fairly customizable.
  • It's fairly easy to add new custom fields, although those less familiar with the system should reach out to support to confirm they're setting up fields in the correct way to ensure there are no "trickle down" effects.
  • Our assigned Customer Success Manager is fantastic and a great partner to work with on issues and new initiatives.
  • Their knowledge base is pretty extensive, and I like that I can submit product feedback/suggestions and upvote any suggestions already created.
  • Reporting is awful. They updated their reporting structure and it is *not* the most efficient. We've always had issues with Jobvite reporting, and while some things have improved, others got worse.
  • We lost the ability to run certain fields, or even entire reports, due to Jobvite no longer letting us pull data that's obviously available in the system. I don't know why we can't pull data *we gather* in our system, and I haven't been able to get a solid answer on it other than "we just can't do that anymore."
  • They've also removed the ability to share a report with a single user, which is a hindrance when we have confidential or restricted information we need to share. I don't want to set up individual user roles, set up a reporting folder, and have to move a report over to that folder, especially if it's a report they previously had access to prior to moving over to the new reporting system.
  • Jobvite support is really hit or miss. Some support employees are extremely helpful, actually listen to the issue, and provide assistance accordingly. Others seem to skip over questions and facts entirely, answer from a predefined script, and "solve" an issue that wasn't even being asked.
  • There are also often *very* long wait times for chat support (I'm talking an average 30-45 minutes waiting to ask a simple question - at that point, why even have the feature?).
  • I'd like to see better integration and setup abilities between Onboarding and other systems. It's difficult to make necessary changes or updates without "breaking" something or having to use paid Jobvite services.
Jobvite is an excellent solution for basic ATS and Onboarding needs. The more customized you make it, the more you're probably going to run into issues. That being said, our Customer Success Manager is fantastic and does their best to make sure we're using Jobvite to the best extent possible, or at least moving in the right direction. They're very good at sending out notifications on new features, and their knowledge base and client community tends to pretty helpful when running into basic issues.

Our entire organization uses Jobvite - employees who refer their contacts to positions, administrative assistants who support their departmental hiring processes, managers who make hiring decisions for their area, executives who approve positions, and human resources employees who oversee the process. We've seen an increase in employee engagement in the recruiting process, our applicants appreciate the ease of the application process, and our hiring managers enjoy the ease of using the system.
  • Updates to the system based on user needs.
  • Customer support.
  • Data available for reporting.
  • Would like video interview to automatically move to completed status.
Great for organizations where employees are advocates and a strong referral source. Flexible to meet a variety of hiring processes - you're likely to be able to implement your current hiring process - and consider best practices you may want to consider adopting. Jobvite employees are knowledgeable and truly helpful in the implementation process.

We implemented Jobvite to provide better visibility and metrics into our recruiting process. In addition, we added texting and video capabilities to increase candidate communications. We also love the scheduler and analytics. Jobvite also broadened our exposure to internal staff and allowed them to easily share our jobs on their social media. The requisition and offer management has allowed us to streamline the process significantly. We are also enjoying the flexibility of onboarding for remote staff.
  • Requesting candidate availability for scheduling
  • Approval processes
  • Candidate workflow
  • Incorporating real-time video interview links (like RingCentral) into the scheduling without cutting and pasting
  • Ability to send ad hoc candidate forms
  • Ability to set permissions based on data components (like locations or department)
  • Ability to have different internal vs external application processes/forms (also, the ability to forward application forms to candidates that come in through other means--like referred by a friend, added candidate, etc.)
  • Ability to customize the in-app apply form from within Jobvite (vs the career site apply page)
Jobvite is great for those looking for an overall well-rounded platform. It is less suited for those with a high level of internal applicants.

We are using Jobvite for ATS and onboarding across our whole organization.
  • Workflow--super easy to set up and maintain.
  • Candidate experience--it is a smooth, professional experience for candidates. The text feature makes it feel personal.
  • Onboarding experience--use of tasks makes the onboarding experience easy to administer, and easy for new hires.
  • Custom fields--custom fields do not follow the candidate from hire to onboarding. This is problematic because we then have to recreate on the onboarding side to then import into our HRIS.
  • Onboarding picklists are time-consuming to populate. We have to enter options one at a time, rather than being able to do an import. Also, field mapping on Hire is a lot easier than having to set up tags on option sets in onboarding.
Jobvite is well suited to handle the hiring process. When you create a requisition, you can then put it on all social media sites, your career site, and you can then see the sourcing of your candidates in Jobvite with minimal effort. Users also really enjoy the fact we can keep email templates in the system, and notifications can be sent from Jobvite without having to create emails.

We are using Jobvite across our whole organization to both manage recruiting and onboarding and to help share our career opportunities externally.
  • A lot of functionality
  • Ease of use
  • Great reporting capability
  • More flexibility on certain parts of the recruiting workflow.
  • More options for custom templates and being able to share templates
Jobvite is well-suited for anyone who wants an easy to use platform to manage the recruiting process and their candidate pool. it also provides an easy way to involve the entire organization in the hiring process from managers to all employees.

We use almost all of the Jobvite modules including Recruit, On-boarding, Engage, and Text. Jobvite is mainly prevalent in our recruiting team but is also touched by HR and our hiring managers in the field. We use it and our one true source of candidates and tracking for those candidates through the sourcing, screening, and hiring process.
  • Extremely user friendly!
  • Excellent customer support!
  • Everyone can get access to the information they need, meaning that hiring managers do not need to depend on the recruiter.
  • Helps provide a great candidate experience!
  • I wish the reporting was a little more robust in the area of canned reports.
Jobvite is one of the most robust applicant tracking systems that I have been involved in implementing and managing. Jobvite easily shares job postings across all my social networks like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Jobvite does a stellar job of tracking who referred the applicant so HR can easily manage Employee Referral Programs. The texting platform is easily one of the best in an area that is new to many organizations.

Jobvite is used across the organization and is the sole application used by recruiters and managers for sourcing employees. The company also utilizes Jobvite's On-Boarding module and is the primary method for the on-boarding of new hires across the organization. The TA leadership team utilizes Jobvite's reporting capabilities to track metrics for management reporting purposes. Employees are able to use the Publisher functionality to post open positions to their social networks, although usage of this tool remains lower than hoped.
  • Jobvite provides an excellent candidate experience, and we're able to minimize the time to apply and conduct all interactions through the application.
  • The Engage CRM has robust capabilities around constructing and executing marketing campaigns for events such as college career fairs.
  • The On-Boarding module is efficient and effective at providing an excellent new hire on-boarding experience. New hires are able to complete all but a handful of tasks prior to their first day on the job, improving time-to-productivity. Internal surveys have demonstrated a high degree of employee satisfaction with the process.
  • The reporting functionality is not as robust as we would like to see. While improvements are underway, it is not as intuitive for building reports as desired.
  • The implementation methodology for new customers left room for improvement. Not having an assigned resource who was accountable for the end-to-end implementation resulted in some delays in launching that could have been avoided.
Jobvite is a good fit for geographically distributed organizations and has the functionality to work well for companies that allow managers to control their own recruiting, as well as for organizations that manage that process with recruiters. It has sufficient flexibility in configuring the application to accommodate a variety of functional configurations for an organization.

It is being used by the recruitment department. It addresses keeping the candidate funnel intact, allows us to communicate with potential candidates, and create a positive candidate experience.
  • Email campaigns
  • Candidate status
  • Web application process
  • Downtime
  • Grouping on candidates.
  • Linkage between engage and hiring portions of the product.
Excellent for email campaigns—great for keeping in touch with future candidates. Issues with linkage to social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).

Jobvite is being used across the entire organization. Our package includes Hire, Engage, Onboard and we have a Jobvite hosted careers site (rather than using another vendor and the Jobvite API). We have hundreds of open positions, onboard hundreds of new hires each year, and receive thousands of applications. Jobvite allows us to have all of that information in a central place with a customized and powerful tool behind it.
  • Customization
  • Social Friendly
  • Customer Support
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Some settings are "one for all" across different departments/categories
  • Some training needed for end users (hiring managers)
  • Onboard has a "mass export", but you can't customize what is included in that export
I've used 10 different applicant tracking systems and Jobvite is by far the best. The company has created a dynamic product fit for modern talent acquisition, takes customer feedback seriously, and continues to add new features while refining existing features as well. We're a high volume, high complexity situation and I can't imagine a better solution for us.

It was an HR tool that was used all across the organization. Our team used it to keep track of applicants, notes within the interviewing process and gave room for managers to share their feedback on candidates as well. Helped solve the challenges of sifting through applicants and making good use of everyone's time.
  • Keep track of applicants.
  • Entering notes in the system based on specific interviews.
  • Able to auto-share open positions through social media platforms to encourage applicants.
  • I know there were some difficulties in the back-end/HR side of things, but I'm not familiar with them.
Well suited for HR/recruiting teams and their interactions with other departments. I know our teams valued being able to see what candidates had applied for open positions, where they were at in the process, log notes in specific interviews, and overall have more collaboration for candidates. Less appropriate for organizations with a low volume of applicants.

Jobvite is our applicant tracking system for North America. It allows us to:
  • Post jobs
  • Collect incoming resumes
  • Collect compliance information
  • Collect initial screening information
  • Distribute resumes to job boards
  • Integrate with LinkedIn
  • Manage candidates associated with requisitions
  • Book interviews
  • Directly message candidates
  • Track a candidate's history with our organization
  • Book and manage interviews
It's a solid mid-market system that meets our business requirements.
The quality of support is excellent.
  • Sharing jobs on job boards and social media.
  • Intuitive use and administration.
  • Collaborate with recruiting colleagues on candidate statuses, moving candidates through the process.
  • User access control - The ability to restrict certain recruiters to access requisitions and candidates associated with their office, country, or region.
  • Is application-centric vs candidate-centric. If I search for John Smith, it looks like there at 10 John smiths in results, whereas in reality there is one who has applied to 10 jobs.
  • Ability to integrate with multiple instances of Office365 for calendar/interview booking reasons.
Jobvite is well suited to organizations that:
  • Don't need to segment access to information on the basis of office, country, or region. If you need user access control on this basis, it will probably not meet your needs
  • Want a cost-effective, mid-market product that lacks in certain areas of global enterprise-type features.

We are currently using Jobvite as our principal ATS, CRM and will soon be deploying it's texting platform as well. Implementing Jobvite has been a tremendous success for us, it allowed us to greatly simplify the application process, and improve the overall candidate experience. Also by deploying it's CRM, we've been able to vastly improve our reach to candidates, both those of whom are in our talent community as well as those that we have sourced externally.
  • Ability to leverage the platform to connect all of your users and their social networks to promote your jobs.
  • Very easy to use interface for users, leaders, and applicants.
  • Greatly improves the candidate experience.
  • Integration with LinkedIn is a game-changer.
  • Reporting could be a bit more robust, especially with custom reports, but they are working on that now with some improvements coming out soon.
  • More customization with security for roles would be great. Restrict or open up what managers can or cannot see etc.
  • Doing more to ensure there are no duplicate entries, meaning, the same people with different profiles in the system.
Jobvite is great in my opinion for most companies that are looking to move away from a heavy req management style ATS like Taleo. It provides candidates a dynamic experience to apply and connect with the company and also is easy to use from a recruiter and hiring manager level. It has advanced settings like role-based security, position control capability, and decent reporting capabilities. It integrates easily with our HRIS, UltiPro, and it's best feature is that your recruitment team can connect with their social networks to promote roles and leverage it's very powerful CRM platform. Not sure if this is the right solution for a company that is less focused on sourcing and more focused on requisition management.

A considerable amount of our clients don't employ normally so we required a framework that was very easy to understand and would help them en route. We also are making a good amount of use of their reporting tool.
  • The integration of the whole process with HR was excellent.
  • Employee referrals.
  • Very user-friendly.
  • Very resourceful tool, but we'd love to see integration with Outlook.
This is a great tool. It is connected to social media sites and invites people for interviews from locations that we couldn't have reached with conventional methods.

Applicant tracking systems have come and gone at our company. With Jobvite we are able to make our image to the applicants much more streamlined. Much of our need was to make the experience quick and painless when applying for a job, will still being able to gather the applicant's profile details.
  • Flexibility
  • Social Networking
  • User Experience
  • More Integration with HRIS
  • Managing Security
  • Importing/Exporting Users
Many times our organization experienced a drop off in applicants during the application process. Taking the applicant profile and allowing them to create the profile and apply for the job at the same time was a huge win. Integrating calendars for managers and interviews has been a huge help as well.

We use Jobvite to manage our staffing and recruitment activities.
  • Great for mobile access.
  • Great for social media.
  • Great for scheduling interviews.
  • Data analysis and reporting.
  • Searching candidates.
  • Customer service.
  • Would be great if we had a dedicated personal representative to contact.
  • Managers and employees who use it have trouble with the system.
  • It doesn't work with certain versions of Internet Explorer which our company uses.
Jobvite is well suited for companies who allow social media company wide. Because our company is in the health care industry, we have limitations in accessing the net company wide.

We use Jobvite primarily for its ATS capability. It is primary used by HR in the recruiting function. The Jobvite tool helps provide us with recruiting solutions for managing the entire hiring process. I can track candidates easily, create reports, schedule interviews, etc. It truly goes beyond your typical ATS. The HireRight background integration in Jobvite is great as you can initiate background checks from the ATS itself. The features are innovative, easy to use, and really helps to streamline the hiring process.
  • Reporting tools. You can create customized reports in this ATS from candidates in your current pipelines in certain requisitions to offer declines over a past year.
  • Scheduling Tool. Jobvite integrates Google Calendar which makes it easy to schedule interviews in Jobvite itself.
  • Social Recruiting. You can easily post positions out to your LinkedIn/Facebook/Twitter network.
  • Tech support via chat. There are some instances when it takes awhile for a representative to help out via chat.
  • When modifying a interview schedule, I wish the tool would automatically update the schedule when I make a change to one person on the list.
I think Jobvite Hire ATS is great for startups and mid size companies to use. The tool is easy to integrate and the user interface is simple to use. If you're looking to streamline your hiring process seamlessly, Jobvite does the job.

We use Jobvite as our Applicant Tracking System. We use it throughout the organization to manage hiring for all levels of positions, from part-time staff to VP level positions. When we started using Jobvite, I was new to the organization and there was no ATS in place (resumes were sent via email). We began using the system to address the need to better track and manage our hiring process. We train all hiring managers on utilization, and the HR function manages the platform.
  • Social recruiting is one of Jobvite's strengths. We are able to manually or automatically broadcast jobs on social media, like Twitter, Facebook, and Linkedin. Our employees are also able to do the same, and we love the ability to engage with applicants in a variety of mediums.
  • The communication tools in Jobvite are fantastic. They use coding to allow responses from candidates to be automatically captured in the file, so we retain all email communication in one place for reference. We have the ability to send emails to the candidate directly (including customizable templates), and also to make notes in the file that can automatically be emailed to various constituents.
  • I love the tabbed format that allows us to see relevant information for candidates without being overwhelmed by data. The printing and viewing functions are great, and allow us to effectively see the candidate's original documents as well as text versions.
  • There is a tab to allows you to see the history of all views and actions taken by people who have access to the file, so it's easy to identify and actor if a mistake is made, or to check the original intention of the person who made the change in the file. This allows us to give more ownership to Hiring Managers, as we can check their work.
  • Jobvite can be a bit glitchy in different web browsers. We have a more detailed online application that we require applicants to complete before an in-person interview, and 10-20% of our applicants have challenges with completing it and need help. There are challenges with firefox and safari, so we usually recommend people use IE or Chrome. There is a registration process candidates need to complete by clicking and email and setting up a password after submitting their resume in order to access the site in the future, and many people miss completing this, which causes frustration in the future.
  • The system has challenges with multiple browser tabs being open at once, and occasionally gives error messages when something is submitted due to conflicts.
The system is great if you want to do social recruiting, and have multiple people involved in your hiring process (we have about 20 potential hiring managers who use the system regularly, and it works really well in that type of complex environment). If it were just HR using the system, there might be simpler and less expensive solutions to consider. The key other selling points for me were the ability to customize almost everything to meet our needs, set up templates, automate emails and calendaring, and ask custom questions after a resume is submitted related to the job.

I implemented Jobvite globally in January 2012, Our offices in US, Canada, China, Japan use Jobvite for Sourcing, Recruiting and Applicant Tracking. It is a great tool to use for tracking applicants and processing them through the recruiting process. It is also a great system to use to recruit through social networks. Currently we are not using all the features to full extend but plan on using them as we train our employees and managers and they get comfortable using it.
  • It is very user friendly.
  • Everyone in the organization can help source for candidates from their networks so it is not just the recruiters, HR and managers sourcing the candidates
  • Once a person sends a jobvite to their LinkedIn network, email contacts etc. it has the capabilities to keep track of who initially referred the job.
  • The interview scheduling capability where it links to Microsoft Outlook so you can see the availability of the interviews still does not work properly.
  • Jobvite does not support older version of Internet Explorer which is an issue with mid size organizations who cannot move to new versions immediately
  • Need to be able to customize the workflows more that currently available. The workflows work for us but could be better
It is great for small and mid size organization, but for large or global organization that have large presence in China Jobvite needs to incorporate the ability to customize in different languages and job boards.

We are using Jobvite as our applicant tracking system plus it is the display for our careers page. We use it company wide in all departments for all recruiting needs. Before we had jobvite, we were sorting through a general "Resumes" inbox which was time consuming, plus now we're able to track where applicants are through the entire interview process. It makes it easy for hiring managers to know the status of their applicants without having to send unnecessary (or constant) emails. I'm the only person for HR so I'm doing all of the recruiting as well. Jobvite easily organizes our roles and applicants without letting anyone slip through the process. Plus it makes it easy for our employees to upload referrals into the system without those getting lost in my inbox.
  • It keeps applicants from submission through to hire (or rejection) very organized! You can add internal notes, screening questions and track all communications for each candidate.
  • It promotes employee referrals and makes it easy for employees to reach their social networks. The majority of our employees automatically publish to their LinkedIn accounts on a regular basis with our open roles, therefore increasing the number of applicants we have (plus the quality is higher),
  • There are several pre-made reports to easily grab statistics on job performance or information about hires without having to do a ton of analysis (which can be time consuming for a 1 person team.)
  • One annoyance is that our company profile info (that is displayed on our careers page) can be updated in Jobvite, but then I have to submit a request to have it reflected on our careers page.
In our situation, we didn't have an applicant tracking system so the opportunity there was pretty large. Jobvite suits us well because we're a tech-minded company and people are on social media every day so using the referral piece of it has been very beneficial to us. Plus the hiring managers don't hesitate to log in and know exactly where we're at with each candidate.

I used Jobvite at two startups (HubSpot.com and Communispace.com). I ran recruiting for both companies at the time. It was used across the organization to hire the best possible talent.
  • Infiltrates networks to find the best candidates within an employee's network.
  • Great sourcing tool.
  • Fantastic interface.
  • Ease of use for non-technical staff.
  • I have no suggestions for improvements.
  • The product worked as advertised.
  • They also have great software support.
I think Jobvite is particularly well suited for startups and smaller companies. Far fewer clicks to get things done than an enterprise ATS and the interface is just super elegant and intuitive.

Jobvite is our company's applicant tracking system. Jobvite is synced with our career site and it is the method in which we receive all of our applications. We also use Jobvite as our internal job posting and hiring portal. We are able to send internal job notifications through Jobvite and collect internal applications. Our employees are able to setup a publishing tool that automatically posts our jobs to their social networks on a regular basis. The frequency of how many times they get posted is determined by the employee. We have also been using their Engage tool which is primarily for sourcing. It's an additional cost and priced per user. Engage allows you to apply boolean search logic to search the open web for resumes. It's not the best technology we have seen so we are not utilizing it and have decided to go with another company to do this for us. They also have a Talent Community where you can either use their widget and add it to your site or build landing pages for the widget and customize it for each hiring event to collect resumes. It's a pretty good CRM tool.
  • Social media recruiting. Their publisher app allows employees to very easily set up their social media pages once to automatically post jobs to their feed and they never have to update it again. It makes it easy for our company to get applications from employees and our employees receive a nice referral bonus to boot. The only problem is getting the employees to set it up to begin with.
  • Their scheduling system is by far the best I've ever seen. The scheduling we do is very complex. We have 2 recruiting coordinators for a 1200 person company. We hire anywhere from 100-150 sales people a month and about 100 product/tech people a year. Our scheduling requires coordinating between several c-level, senior level executives with very limited availability. Some of our interviews take 6 hours onsite and must be scheduled in a specific order. Jobvite's scheduling tool integrates with Outlook and allows us to view availability and book conference rooms right from their platform.
  • Jobvite allows you to track email communication to candidates. The way they do this is to have all communication go through their email server. The pro to having it setup this way is that they can track all communication with no additional work from the client. The negative to this is that there is a LOT of room for messages to get lost, end up in peoples' spam folders, or for emails to never get to the recipient. They could be lost for several reasons but because Jobvite shows that the message was sent on their end, there is very little they can do to help you resolve the issue.
  • Very limited in customization. While Jobvite does have a lot of great features, there is not one system in the world that will work for everyone. So it's important to be able to openly integrate with other vendors that do specialize in the areas that they are not the best in and to be able to customize certain things like dashboards to fit to each individual company. I have tried to work with several vendors over the 5 years that I have used Jobvite and the one common theme I hear from those vendors is that they integrate with almost every major ATS out there except for Jobvite because Jobvite is difficult to work with. It would also be great to be able to customize our dashboards so different user roles can see only the things they need to see at a glace when logged in. Jobvite only has one dashboard for all users.
  • Reporting is lacking. There is a limit to the fields Jobvite reports on. They have a contacts tab to keep track of your pipeline of passive candidates and there is no functionality to report on any activity tied to those contacts. It's also difficult to report on simple things.
  • Will I have a dedicated account manager?
