ADP was our previous PEO and, in my experience, they were old, clunky and never got back to us. In my opinion, the customer service was non-existent. Insperity was out of our budget but I think it is a good product. Paychex Flex was similar and I like their product for payroll; however, we wanted to offer healthcare, commuter benefits and a 401k to employees and although Paychex is starting to offer those items through 3rd party providers, it wasn't as integrated of a solution as Justworks presented.

Justworks is a much simpler platform with better pricing. I remember ADP's cost was tied to a certain percentage of the total payroll, which is not ideal if you have highly compensated employees. Though ADP offered more ancillary benefit options and group employee discounts, we feel Justworks suffices and meets our daily HR needs.

Justworks serves all the basic needs with less of the frills and bells and whistles that Insperity has. Insperity from my recollection, had a lot more of the non-essential frills that benefited employees, such as promotions and discounts for consumer products and services outside of work. While it was nice as an employee, it wasn't essential to the business.

We like Justworks over Gusto for the simple reason that Justworks has better benefits offering for a company as small as us. It has turned out that Justworks also has been rolling out new features that we didn't know we wanted (like timecard integrations), and that has also been a nice surprise.

We used Paycor only for payroll, but even in this regard I felt it was inferior to Justworks. The key differentiator in my mind was customer support and user interface. Paycor support was difficult and rarely made exceptions. Their interface felt like a web 1.0 legacy software.

Justworks on the other hand is simple and intuitive. Their support is quick and willing to work with circumstance.

Selecting Boomr wasn't my decision, but as a user, it's much more convenient then having to boot up a computer, log in, and then clock in. This, again, is especially true due to half of our team no longer working directly in our main office. Also, if for some reason the internet service isn't working, you're still able to log hours using your phone service. This was something that previously used programs did not offer.

They are similar tools in what they do. Justworks is a little easier to navigate; TriNet does have the Time-off estimator. Justworks is a much better cost for a very comparable product.

Justworks offers a more robust functionality than Gusto. The ability to track time off, manage pay stubs, distribute and manage benefits administration, and house a company-wide directory with key dates and information about each individual are all extremely helpful. Having a product that is a one-stop-shop is of great value.

Harvest allows employees to track their time but does not provide the same variety of features needed to manage a large number of users as Justworks. This includes managing benefits, payroll, and employee-required courses (such as Harassment Prevention). Furthermore, some employees found that Harvest focused too much on time tracking, which caused them to waste their time on to a large extent on estimating time worked on their various projects instead of quickly reporting on overall time worked.

Paychex's interface is outdated and challenging to navigate. Their customer support is challenging as they are such a big company, you often have to be transferred to another department before speaking with the appropriate person.

Everything is very transparent about their pricing, documentation, and straight forward services they offer. The other had such a more corporate feel and their sales tactics were much more aggressive. They others dont seem to understand that calling me constantly in this day and age to pressure me to close will only turn me off. The one thing I tell my team is treat sales as an extension of customer support. Make the prospect feel as the sales process is so amazing, they cant wait for the Account Management and support teams help. This is how JW process was for me.

Justworks is cheaper, more intuitive, and easier to use than other tools. It has a clean interface, unlike TriNet which I have used at a previous company (3+ years ago). TriNet does provide better HR services through your account manager who is an HR specialist, unlike Justworks who are just account managers and have to usually seek the advice internally from other subject matter experts. The HR consulting piece is a massive help and put Justworks far beyond its competition.

JustWorks is MUCH easier to use. The user interface is light years ahead of TriNet. Though JustWorks has a smaller number of health insurance plans available, I found it easier to navigate their selections because of the 1-pagers they provide and because there weren't SO many options to choose from.

We switched from TriNet to JustWorks for a number of reasons. TriNet's platform was outdated and consistently used third-party sites. None of their reporting was correct, nothing was integrated and my employees had an extremely difficult time finding and accessing anything they were looking for. Every time I called TriNet for help, I was rerouted 10 different times and could never speak directly to my Account Manager. Not to mention, JustWorks was significantly cheaper than TriNet.
