Kantata PS Cloud is great for project management where clients can maintain communication in one centralized location. Project members receive all notifications and can communicate in chains, upload documentation without size limits, link deliverables to tasks in the task tracker, and view project plan updates in real time. I can't think of any scenarios where is wouldn't be appropriate because the tool is really versatile and can be helpful in a range of different scenarios.

Since we are a growing agency with multiple project and hundreds of resources, it is easy to use Kantata for resource planning, allocation, and following that allocation during execution. We can aim for higher resource utilization with this.
I don't dislike anything in particular but more filter and sorting options on project page would have been more helpful as it takes a while to find what you are looking for in it's current view.

It is appropriate and even exceeds expectations 90% of the time. It makes project tracking very easy and visually accessible for most cases. The only occasion where Mavenlink came slightly short was for a special project that required more interaction options among project members. I am certain there are ways to work around that issue, but we did not find them.

Mavenlink is perfect for software integration and deployment projects. We have evaluated other tools like Celoxis, Sciforma, Workfront, Pro Workflow, Eclipse, and others against our criteria list and so far Mavenlink score the highest. I wouldn't recommend Mavenlink in case you are doing software development projects since it's not the best for issue tracking (maybe look at JIRA or Redmine).

Mavenlink is useful for planning and maximizing our resources. Improved resource visibility and control. It helps us determine who is accessible in terms of skill and competency, as well as the amount of work they are capable of handling. Mavenlink is beneficial for forecasting resource needs and reallocating resources to meet goals. Mavenlink is useful to have a control over the work minute by minute, without having to wait for answers. It's flexible to monitor how time, money and margins are managed from anywhere at any time. Mavenlink allows us to examine and act through an industry-leading business intelligence layer that provides you with dozens of well-crafted reports to solve pricing, profit, usage, and availability issues.

Manvenlink examines our project portfolio down to the task level, generates real-time information using the Gantt chart, and assesses the status of tasks or deliverables. Manvenlink is competitive for project and dependency automation; allows us to replace manual procedures with applicable solutions and alternatives.nManvenlink allows us to design reusable templates and procedures, break down silos for deeper insights, and connect tasks within a single project. Manvenlink is really helpful for getting updates on the status of each of our projects. Manvenlink Integrations Baselines allow us to create baselines that demonstrate how the breadth of our projects changes over time.

Mavenlink can be actually used by any organization irrespective of its size. Someone might want to use it for automating project management and client invoicing. Or the larger organizations might take advantage of resource scheduling and assignments based on their availability. You can also consider it when you have got documentation to maintain.

It is a useful collaboration tool to work on projects together as a team. Functionality to plan projects at a detailed level and report on it could be improved. The Gantt chart does not allow for baselines to be stored. Schedule does not allow planning off holidays. Creating project plans using templates is easy however it would be nice to have the ability to upload an excel sheet to create a task tracker. The roll up of budgets is not available at a milestone level that inhibits ability to track budget at milestones. It would be good to have a status report generated for clients that could be either available as a standard report or as a custom report.

Mavenlink is a great tool managing a project's entire lifecycle including pipeline, capacity, margins, etc. Whenever I have any questions their support staff is always quick to respond! I've seen their new availability match for team builder and love the ability to drill-into people availability so I can better staff my projects based on project specific needs.

Mavenlink is useful when you need a project tool that can take care of all project-related activities. To give an example, distribution of work among resources, timesheet management, billing management, and performance insights. Most important, project tracking is very easy. While using such tool support plays an important role and Mavenlink is just best at it.

I think that our company is using Mavenlink in the most perfect scenario. It's able to consolidate project management with finance, which is exactly what we need. We thought about using it for our QA purposes, as in logging and ticking off QA items, but it feels a bit cumbersome to try to use it for that. So instead we use a much more simple, lightweight software.

Before Mavenlink, our organization used several disconnected softwares to manage time, budgets, tasks, etc. We wasted so much time trying to find and connect time entries to project budgets and were constantly going over budgets but not knowing early enough to keep it from happening. Mavenlink has made our organization more efficient and has helped us deliver projects on time and within budget.

Mavenlink would be well suited for smaller companies I feel since it does seem to lag a bit when it's having to process a lot of information. With individuals who only have a smaller number of projects, this might work well. But Mavenlink seems to be constantly pulling from all the data from the company and not just what's relevant to that specific user.

Mavenlink helps any size of a business in managing projects, team activities and collaborating with clients globally especially in the services industry. It brings convenience and an easy way to control workflow quality and organizes all files in one place plus project managers enjoy the time and budget tracking feature.

I would score Kimble at an 8 for recommendation, but, truth be told, it would definitely vary depending on what department is using the system. Since we use Kimble throughout the entire organization, I can see the benefits it has in other departments. For example, our resourcing team has become more efficient in timesheet control and the delivery team more aware of their ongoing projects.

As far as time tracking software goes, this is on the better side. However, like most time tracking software, it's focused (in terms of UX) on the folks consuming the data, not the folks entering the data. It's still a royal pain to use. So it's above average for what it does, but there's an extremely low bar for this type of software

Suited to any services-based business, particularly marketing, consulting, IT and engineering services.
Teams over 5 will start to take advantage of the resource planning, and teams over 30 will find it the most valuable tool in their toolkit.

If your team works on a variety of projects and has to manage a budget, this product is great. It shows people where they should be spending their time, updates them on what others are doing, and provides a great shared work space. If you don't work in the services industry, I have a hard time seeing where this software makes sense, though.

Mavenlink is well suited in areas like resource management, time tracking and reporting. If you want to understand how to scope a similar project, using the actuals from timesheets through reporting is a huge help. If you want to understand your company's forecast utilization to know where there is capacity and what types of work you should get, Mavenlink allows you to do that. In scenarios where Mavenlink is less appropriate is very complicated web build projects where predominately the work would be managed in JIRA and even a more robust gantt chart tool.

Mavenlink is best suited for a team tackling LARGE projects together. Large projects have sub-projects and tasks as part of the plan. Mavenlink keeps the team connected, communication flowing, time tracked and helps the team check off the completion boxes for a sense of collective satisfaction that the work is getting done.

I honestly am not sure where Mavenlink would be suited. Perhaps in the manufacturing industry, but not a service based industry. It's just too convoluted when it comes to getting your settings, project bill rates and reports out. I consider it a glorified spreadsheet that hasn't been updated in some time.

All in all, we were ultimately really just frustrated with the slowness of the system. It just didn't make sense that page load was over 5 seconds for projects. Everything just felt bloated.

Probably well suited from an analytics perspective for a management team. Asking questions like how many hours have each team member in a project spent in total? Are the hours being spent on certain projects optimal?

From a worker's perspective, it's a nightmare. Every single day I have to go into the timesheet and mark my time. If the project's task is not on there, I have to click "Projects". I have to search for my project. I have to go to the tasks. I have to add the task. Then I have to go back into my timesheet. Then, sometimes I'm not even assigned a project, so I have to ask someone to assign it to me.

It's possible that my company hasn't fully optimized Mavenlink to the point where it's not annoying to workers anymore. But it should just be easier, I don't know how to help there.

We find Mavenlink to be very well suited to track launch programs and projects. Mavenlink allows us to see how many hours were billed overall and for which specific and various tasks they were billed for. The reporting function is also easy to use and very granular, allowing our team to easily and quickly see utilization.
