We use it for converting documents into PDF for secure sending and also use it to convert PDF documents into Excel & Word for quick adjustments.
  • Great quality in Printing PDF Great conversions from PDF into other Office documents.
  • Merging documents into one PDF is really helpful.
  • Lining up the editing of text on a PDF could be better.
  • Different font options on editing would be awesome.
  • Would like a better way to add a signature (the stamp i use shows that it is a cut and paste)
N/A
  • Definitely helps efficiency.
  • Ability to reduce size of document is helpful.
  • Very user friendly
I have used it for years (used to be Nuance). I tried others before and were not user friendly.
Can't remember - tried so many online converters and they were time consuming and not efficient.
I think I have only asked support once, when i had changed a computer. Straightforward response and issue solved.
The ability to edit a document is really helpful. Combining documents is great. Converting to another format for editing is EXTREMELY helpful

  • Printing to PDF
  • Converting a PDF to word or Excel

I use it to store, process, and send documents. I use it in most dmm sensitive documents and legal documents so if I have to send legal contract I always scan it then store it in pdf for retrieval. I also work on modifying pdfs for instance when I have to store a document.
  • Modify pdfs.
  • Store pdf.
  • Send pdfs.
  • Read pdfs others send me.
  • The help function is limited.
  • Its transfer to Word is wonky.
  • The menu [isn't] intuitive.
I like it for saving final documents. I know if my resume is in Kofax it was the most current. For me it is a great way to know this is the one to use. Also I love it for transmitting contracts or anything I sign. I know it is in Kofax it is official and I can send it without issue.
  • Title savings for certain.
  • Less storage needed.
  • Connectivity with other users, everyone can read PDFs.
It is terribly complicated and not intuitive. I like the functions but I often hunt for what I need. I do like how I can arrange a document page, and adding pages to documents. For me I see the benefit out weighing the complexity however I think it could be much better if someone would work on making it more intuitive.
I have not used other Kofax software. However Kofax Power PDF is far more useful than the Xerox PDF. I suggest the menu system and help functions be improved, the jewels system is virtually non existent. Again it is much too complicated. I suggest improvements in making help more intuitive.
When call I seem to be bothering those I talk too. They have so little concern for my projects it is not funny, I would basically never call. One time I tried to work out the scan function. Yeah, no luck. So screw it. I so dislike the tech support, it is awful; however, I still use it.
RoboForm, Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)
I like that I can assemble documents. I take a large document as a PDF and I can insert or delete pages. I can see the assembly happen in real time. I hate inserting pages in Word. It is so confusing to insert a chart or graph but with advanced PDF it is simple.

Yes it was very intuitive.
No not at all, it has an infinite number of configurations and possibilities.
Honestly I use it straight out of the package. But one thing I wish I had done is change my work directory for saving to a common one on the same work directory as where I do most of my work. It would have been more convenient
Some - we have done small customizations to the interface
Again I changed my work director to the same drive as where I normally work. It was a simple to step process. Find the directory and then set it.
No - we have not done any custom code
No, it is so versatile that I cannot imagine the number of configurations one might have.

  • editing in PDF, if you can find the menu item
  • all of them,, I do not find the presentation logical or intuitive
  • help sucks
Yes, but I don't use it
it is so darn complicated to do even simple tasks
It is so scalable that it is just seamless. I would call it a natural process, as I use it it expands to offer more things.
There are no availability issues.
It is located on my local drive, never a problem.

I find it able to save and read word and excel files. It could not be easier.

We use Kofax PDF Advanced in our real estate conveyancing department of our law firm. It is useful to professionally amend or correct typos and other errors.
  • Affordable alternative to Adobe with most of the functionality.
  • Clean interface.
  • Decent help options.
  • Intuitive interface.
  • Would appreciate more user customization of buttons and ribbons to suit my usage.
Excellent general use PDF editing program. OCR needs a bit more work but can handle most day-to-day tasks.
  • Huge upgrade over manual scanning and editing of documents.
Fairly straightforward and user friendly interface. Some advanced features would benefit if linked to tutorials.
Power PDF contains most of the same features as Adobe and other competitors but with a more reasonable price point.
I rely on the help feature to answer most of my questions and internet searches/youtube videos for the rest.
The comment and advance features section are my most used features.

  • Formatting and sending professional quality PDFs
  • Make a PDF searchable and editable as if in Word
  • Replace some of the capabilities of Word
Very pleased with the product and it is a "one-time" purchase.

Adobe Reader. The full version of Adobe is expensive for small businesses and Kofax offers almost the same menu of options at a fraction of the price.

Sole practitioner using for single user. The product is used to assist in creating, managing and manipulating legal briefs using its various functions.
  • Combining pdfs.
  • Document signing.
  • OCR both English and foreign language.
  • Improved annotation functions/usability.
  • Cross platform use.
Well suited to PDF mark up and manipulation.
Not particularly user friendly for PDF annotation and comparison.
Could be better at creating PDFs from emails with attachments.
  • Time saving.
  • Paper saving.
  • One-off fee (positive).
Basic functions work very well.
I have not found annotation function particularly user friendly and thus have not moved to work fully within the ecosystem.
I often find myself wishing I could have it on my iPad and computer so that same functions available across platforms.
Stacks up very well and much more cost effective.
Separation between sales and support was frustrating at upgrade/purchase. Otherwise no complaints.
Combine, bookmark, ocr, measuring and bates numbering functions all useful.

After spending $1400 for a competitive product suite, I learned about the Kofax (formerly Nuance) products. I found these products as good as the competition, at the time. Subsequently, the developments have made Kofax Power PDF easier to use and less obtrusive when using computer resources. The latest version of Power PDF has become my first stop for all scanning and document processing requirements. Combining pages and documents, scanning new documents, an converting file types are all ways in which this product improves productivity!
  • Scan new documents...open Power PDF, select new scan...DONE!
  • Cut pages from one document...either remove pages...move a page to another document...or re-arrange order of pages...it all is 20 seconds and DONE!
  • Turn a scanned form into a fillable form.
  • Make a PDF document searchable, one button and DONE!
  • There is nothing that I would suggest for improvement.
I still use OmniPage for more control for scanned items when needing OCR or specific document formats from scanned items.
  • I have saved several thousand dollars after replacing Adobe with Power PDF.
  • The speed of using Power PDF over any other PDF viewer or converter is about one third faster.
  • I no longer use online converters or documents that can not be save to my computer, thanks to Power PDF.
The time to familiarize and use Power PDF is less than ten minutes. If you can think what you want, there is a command in the task bar...even new users should review the command options in the taskbar before beginning.
No contest...ease of use, cost, powerful, flexible...Power PDF excels!
I never have to call support!
