Our users are mostly insurance customer service representatives in either the employee benefits division, commercial lines insurance, or personal lines insurance division. They are general users who use it for daily tasks to create necessary forms, type in existing PDF forms or read PDF forms. Everyone in our office uses the Tungsten Power PDF software exclusively.

Accounting, clerical and billing. All receipts and invoices are scanned and attached to vendor bills. Additional expense receipts are scanned, and attached to those items. Vendor invoices are opened, printed and saved using Kofax. Credit applications are turned into fillable forms and completed with Kofax as well. We have turned our applications into fillable forms for our customers to make the process easier for them as well.

I use it and am a partner attorney for my small firm, but I handle a lot of editing of PDFs on a regular basis, including redaction of items, moving around pages in a document, and typing on PDFs.

The users of Kofax for our company are administrative roles that need to edit and code company documents. They utilize Kofax to make changes and edit text for approval. Once coded they are then moved to manager for approval and are returned for corrections or filing. Kofax allows users to review and approve documents easily.

My firm uses Nuance/Kofax PDF daily as their main PDF software for the whole variety of applications. Senior members of the firm mostly use some basic functions, and, this software is preferred for its speed and reliability. Juniors and administrative staff also use more advanced functions such as editing and bundling.

Paralegal. Everything from drafting lengthy documents to review of hundreds or thousands of pages of records. Sorting, inserting, deleting, extracting, bates numbering, redacting, removing metadata, creating binders/portfolios, converting different types of documents into pdf. Creating and filling in forms for court and other uses. OCR is available to use as well. Once that completes you can search the entire document.

I am House Counsel and I use Kofax Power PDF extensively on a daily basis. It is my default program for handling PDFs and I use it to create forms, to edit PDFs, to separate scans when multiple documents are scanned as a single PDF, and to print "signed" documents from Word to Power PDF either using a signature image or using the Signature Stamp I created in Kofax Power PDF. I also take advantage of the Security features to modify the security settings on PDFs. I know those features are not a guaranty of security - but the security settings provide some peace of mind that I can secure my documents before sending them out. I not only use it for my own tasks, but I am constantly editing PDFs for our Human Resources Department. I'm certain that there are other features of Kofax Power PDF that I could use in my daily work - I just have to carve out more time to take advantage of the training 31 videos Kofax has provided through YouTube. Hopefully Kofax will roll out more videos over time to help me take full advantage of the software.
