Most tasks are intuitive, but the ones, I have cited already. To get a 10, the Help file should be rewritten. It is not thorough, confused, and sometimes inconsistent.
Menus are well structured, although the Page Rotated section of the ribbon looks a bit out of place.
Recent files are well located front and center.

The issues with OCR of large document is the only reason I rated a 9. Otherwise this program performs very well. OCR has been problematic since it was invented, and files over 500 pages I think just take too much memory to recognize and process without the program being able to save the document while it does this process. Completely understandable. Especially with poor quality documents, it just takes a huge amount of processing power. My workstation has more than sufficient memory for most things, I just think without a "shadow copy/saved" version of the document the program hangs when it fills the memory. I've just started splitting large documents into pieces, OCR, and then combining them back into one document if needed. Of important note, several other OCR only programs also failed on these same documents.

I have rarely, if ever, had to search the help file or read up on features to make them work. The features I use are fairly intuitive and quickly mastered. Kofax also provides a YouTube Channel with training videos that have been helpful on occasion. Mastery of frequently used features was simple.

Ease of use on the desktop version is straightforward and easy. There is a low learning curve and it is very intuitive. It is very easy to use, has no hidden steps that require support or extensive time to learn. It works well and the features are well integrated.

Like most software could still use work. Some features are not as intuitive as I would like. Highlighting or copy text is not as smooth as it should be. For some reason if I do not close out of Kofax before shutting down, it will tell me Kofax is not letting the computer shut down and I have to force close.

Like any other piece of software, you eventually develop workarounds to create features that do not come with the software. again, the lack of keyboard shortcuts as an irritant which can be somewhat worked around by adding features to the Quick Access toolbar. I did note that in Power PDF Pro 4, you can no longer add an email document function to the Quick Access toolbar. Cannot imagine why this feature was removed.
