We use it for sending uneditable documents to client and for redacting key information on sensitive documents we need to store.
  • Redaction is good. Form Filling works well I can have multiple files open and see them in the tabs on the top of the page.
  • Some documents still cant be edited, but this is common to other programs.

We use it for providing documents to clients and for working with PDF documents.
  • The Bates stamping feature works well. The conversion from none pdf documents to pdf works well. The assembly of document (combine) works well.
  • The Whiteout or redaction can be cumbersome.

I use this software every hour of the day. Very rarely am I opening another software as often
  • Easy to move around, separating, deleting, adding.
  • 2 complaints only: 1. Unable to break through secured pdf. They need modifying however I can only print, scan, then modify. Which brings me to the second issue. I have to use your competitor PDFfiller, to Erase, add Text, Add Circles, Check marks, Images, lines etc. They are very user friendly unfortunately now I have to buy two softwares. One is on line, one is on my computer. Some how if you can add these wonderful features I would be extremly happy. Oh there is a 3rd Issue. I have three computers, Work, Desktop and laptop. I don't like having to purchase three single softwares. Come up with package deals.

We need to regularly check PDF layouts or proofread PDFs for our customers and were looking for a cheap alternative that offered features similar to Acrobat reader. Our clients did not complain about any issues so far.
  • - Easy file conversion of multiple formats to one or several PDFs via conversion tool - Easy editing/annotation of PDFs - Good and Easy redact/blacken out tool
  • - Language implementation: we get regular messages at startup that Austrian German locale has some issues, just because our PCs are based in Austria an run with Austrian settings but we installed German version. - some fonts appear black although they are not black but another colour overlay - settings (maximized window) do not correctly get saved
  • regex search would be fine
  • extract text found via (regex) search to file.

Kofax Power PDF is the only PDF reader/writer that I use. It combines a number of features that I use on a regular basis that competing products don't offer or deploy as well, including digital signatures, document security (this is a big item in legal documents), and integration with other products that I use such as MS Office. Using Kofax Power PDF solves a number of problems for me in terms of combining documents, creating documents and watermarking documents, and general document management tasks. I've tested a number of other products (e.g., Adobe) and found the features in Kofax Power PDF to be superior and more cost-efficient.
  • Water-marking
  • Digital Signature Handling
  • Document Management such as combining documents
  • Document Conversion
  • The Help Feature and User Manual
  • Creating Forms
  • Scanner Integration
For me, it is appropriate in situations where a document must be shared among multiple parties and there are multiple editors and commenting parties. The features of the program make it easy to add text, comments and/or redact text. It's security features make it useful in working with client documents and assisting corporate clients with creation of agreements and other types of legal documents. I can't actually think of a situation where it would not be appropriate but I haven't really tried using it to convert spreadsheets to PDF format so that may be one.

We use it as an alternative to having to use Adobe Acrobat Pro and thus be obligated to pay yearly license renewal fees!
  • Provide a streamlined method to work with and simultaneously archive pdf documents
  • Allow one to convert pdf documents using multiple connectors to documents archives
  • Work with scanned documents
  • Provides a method t use batch files for future automation
  • The methods to locate ongoing fixes to the software are cumbersome
  • Security features are difficult for a non-expert IT professional to implement
I think it's very appropriate for a limited user group (or department) of IT professionals allowing the facility to avoid the cumbersome aspects of Adobe corporate licensing and obligation to pay yearly licensing fees In my opinion, probably less appropriate in situations where users are not too experienced in deciphering more intricate operating environments

We use it to respond to RFPs and other proposals mainly. It is used to de constructed the RFP and RFQs and publish responses.
Responding to RFPs that can not be edited is time consuming.
  • Change original document formats to PDF
  • Organize multiple PDFs in related documents
  • OCR and scanner integration
Love the ability to merge multiple PDFs. Manage changes to PDFs. Create forms and switch between document types

I use it constantly to insert/delete pages, redact private information, page number, add signatures and stamps, and add letterhead to digital printing. In my experience, it does all of these things easily and in a way that is intuitive to the user. I've also used it extensively to make electronic 'binders', where several documents and an index are combined into one document that is bookmarked and hyperlinked. While this takes a little more knowledge and training, I love the functionality of this in our new reality of hybrid workspaces.
  • Forms
  • Redactions
  • Bates Numbering
  • Document revision
  • Compiling documents
  • Stamps could be a little more customizable
  • Complete functionality that Adobe has (especially when it comes to forms)
  • OCR function is difficult to use and not very smooth at times
I enjoy using Kofax Power PDF to create packages of documents. In my experience, it's easy to have a folder of all the documents needed separately, and then use Kofax Power PDF to compile them, with bookmarks and hyperlinks. Then if a change needs to be made it's easy to simply swap out one of the documents in the folder and recompile. I think Kofax Power PDF is less suited for working with forms that are specifically designed for Adobe. The forms that I have the most trouble with are ones that you fill in information, and then click a button to finalize the document with all of your blanks filled in.

I used Kofax for windows when I had the Windows platform. I really enjoyed the features then. They are not quite the same with Mac. I understand that it is probably more difficult to incorporate; however, it would be nice if it were more a more seamless transition. Also not a fan of how there isn't a version for older Macs, as there are for older Windows programs.
  • being able to highlight items with no structure (coloring in) being able to block out paragraphs, but with a text box Being able to paste an item or image Being able to move/delete pages in a document, add pages, etc.
  • Honestly the Windows version is perfect. Just need a more seamless experience with Mac.

Kofax is my default pdf viewer because it is so easy to use and is always dependable. I have used other pdf products but none have so many features that I use and I generally have problems using them. I highly recommend this product.
  • Edit pdfs convert docs to pdfs convert pdfs to docs
  • I cannot say what it doesn't do well. It converts documents to pdfs which both android, MACs and PCs can read. It turns pdfs into documents when needed. An excellent product.

We use it for converting documents into PDF for secure sending and also use it to convert PDF documents into Excel & Word for quick adjustments.
  • Great quality in Printing PDF Great conversions from PDF into other Office documents.
  • Merging documents into one PDF is really helpful.
  • Lining up the editing of text on a PDF could be better.
  • Different font options on editing would be awesome.
  • Would like a better way to add a signature (the stamp i use shows that it is a cut and paste)

I used a lot of scanning and editing pdf (including organizing the order, deleting and extracting pages). Kofax Power PDF has a good ribbon layout for these daily functions. It also has a great form making tool that was really useful in my workflow, generating fillable questionnaires.
  • Combining multi-document types into a PDF file. Printing to a PDF file from Microsoft Word. Writing and highlighting PDFs. Reducing the size of PDFs. Placing a digital signature of PDFs.
  • There is an error on Windows 11 where printing to a PDF file from Internet Brower does not work. Sometimes, the program needs to be relaunched because it shows an error message of "a file error has occurred." Combining functions crashes sometimes when including an image. I wish that tabs could come in rows so that I can see all open files, instead of scrolling with a left or right button.

Reviewing legal documents and comparing versions of documents in addition I commonly use the software to create composite documents from multiple documents and to convert PDF to Word format. Conversion is not 100% reliable, but it usually gives a fair start.
  • Combine documents
  • Allows effective redaction
  • Allows copy and paste from PDF documents
  • Allows Bates page numbering
  • Word conversion is not reliable
  • Adding multiple documents together can be difficult
  • Editing of pdf documents is welcome but not always easy
Great for simple pdf manipulation. Convenient and good value but there may be better tools for specific functions and it is worth checking what exactly you want the software to do for you.

I have been using Kofax Power PDF for many years in my work as an advocate. It has served me well and saved me a lot of time.
  • Easy to convert from Word and Excel files to PDF and reverse
  • Easy to edit in the PDF file
  • Simple and easy to work with
  • When converting PDF's from others the program does not recognize the special Faroese character correctly, i.e. √°, √≠,√≥,√∫,√∞ and √Å,√ç,√ì,√ö,√ê.
  • When converting from Word documents to PDF the proof-reading is gone in the PDF
  • Could be more efficient

We use it to prep documents to send to outside companies
  • The price is great. The main reason we went with the product Relatively easy to edit existing documents such as adding text boxes Does "simple" functions very well and easily (combine pdfs, optimize pdfs, reorder pages etc).
  • In my opinion, PDF documents do not look great. Adding text poxes add ugly gray squares everywhere and I couldn't find any way to improve that. It is not beginner friendly. I have had to train people to use it, it is not out of the box ready. lastly, it does not run on Server OS. We use terminal services, and it will not run on server 2016 for our end users.

I use Kofax Power PDF in my daily course of business and it is great, you can easily extract specific pages that are needed, redact private information, combine multiple documents into one, add signatures via their system, and add stamps to the pages. Another cool feature is you can create your own stamp and upload it to Kofax Power PDF which comes in handy for me almost daily. Overall, Kofax Power PDF is very easy to use and has a lot of great features.
  • Easy to apply redactions
  • Provides stamps and lets you create your own
  • Easy to extract specific pages and create a new document
  • Allows you to easily combine documents
  • Allows you to label each document all at once instead of individually
  • Their customer service is very helpful if you have any issues
  • Sometimes the redactions will freeze if you have multiple documents open at once
Kofax Power PDF is very well suited if you work with PDF's daily and need to combine multiple PDF's or easily pick out one page from a PDF. Kofax Power PDF is also well suited if you have to sign a lot of documents virtually that come in a PDF form, or if you need to place a stamp on them stating when you received the document.

I use Kofax Power PDF to render pdf docs from and to word and to and from Jpg documents. It functions well. However, it would be even better if it enabled document signing with a stylus or finger on a cell phone or a pdf.
  • Converts to a searchable document.
  • Makes a table of contents Search and replace text.
  • Very slow to open & close docs or "render" documents. Grit my teeth while waiting.
  • Also, it does not have an easy nonformal document signing function when I send a doc that needs a signature.

We needed a PDF software that provided the ability to build packages for board meetings with page numbers, the ability to change pages later, and the ability to redact confidential information.
  • The software is fairly easy to use and the support search is robust for users. It does an excellent job of converting existing PDF documents to Word. The top feature is that the company offers a permanent license rather than subscription so this makes the software affordable for our non-profit organization.
  • Not sure I can think of any. I would like to build fillable forms and that could be a little easier - but it is also an issue with myself the user.
