Lattice has become an essential tool for users when it comes to conducting performance reviews, tracking goals, and offering praise on a quarterly basis. The software's flexibility allows it to be heavily relied upon by the Culture Team within the organization for managing various aspects of employee development and engagement, including pulse surveys, OKRs, 360-degree feedback, 1-on-1s, weekly updates, and growth paths. Users appreciate how Lattice streamlines collaboration, goal sharing, and progress tracking across different teams and departments. It facilitates communication, goal setting, and messaging throughout the organization, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Additionally, Lattice's transparency and accountability features have proven valuable for managers and the entire C-suite in terms of tracking progress and maintaining alignment with company goals. Overall, Lattice helps users stay focused on achieving their goals while strengthening relationships between managers and employees.

Intuitive User Interface: Many users have praised the intuitive and user-friendly interface of Lattice, with multiple reviewers stating that it allows both employees and managers to easily navigate and use the platform effectively. The design simplifies the performance review process, enabling users to quickly write reviews and view feedback in an adjacent pane. This streamlined approach speeds up the review cycle, saving time and effort for users.

Seamless Integrations: Reviewers appreciate the seamless integration of Lattice with other tools such as Slack and Google Sheets. Users value the ability to access updates and reminders easily, as well as share progress with team members, enhancing collaboration and efficiency. These integrations make it easier for users to incorporate Lattice into their existing workflow, improving productivity and streamlining processes.

Goal-tracking Functionality: The goal-tracking functionality in Lattice has received high praise from users. Several reviewers have highlighted its effectiveness in following up when users have not updated their goal progress. This feature ensures that goals are actively monitored and progress is tracked effectively, fostering creativity, insight, and self-awareness among individuals. By empowering users to take ownership of their professional development, this capability promotes personal growth and achievement.

Difficult Navigation: Some users have found the interface of Lattice difficult to navigate, expressing that it could be more streamlined. They have suggested improvements to the home page layout in order to enhance user experience.

Goal Tracking and Completion: Users have mentioned frustration with the inability to check off or complete goals within Lattice. This results in the system continuously reminding them until the goals are manually deleted. Several users have expressed a desire for a feature that allows them to keep track of completed goals for future reference.

Lack of Customization and Integration: Reviewers have pointed out limitations in customization options and integration capabilities within Lattice. They feel that there should be more templates available for growth paths and reviews, as well as additional integrations with different HR systems.

Users highly recommend Lattice for its capabilities in processing planning and launching new products. However, they have made several recommendations to enhance the user experience. Firstly, users suggest that the user interface could be more intuitive, with changes in background colors and more active images. Secondly, users express that the current appearance of Lattice is plain and resembles a notepad. They recommend incorporating visual elements to make it more visually appealing and engaging for users. Lastly, users advise making improvements to the UI to make it more user-friendly, such as streamlining processes or adding features that simplify navigation and task execution.

We used Lattice to not only set our own performance and goals, but to also write public recognition for those of your team and other teams and they help you accomplish something.
  • Easy to use.
  • Well built UI Interface.
  • Setting goals for yourself.
  • Giving private recognition.
  • Giving public recognition.
It’s the best tool that I’ve seen for giving public presentations. Every Friday are company takes a snapshot of all the things and their share throughout the company which makes a nice end of the week.

We started using lattice to manage our Pulse surveys and OKR's in a single place. Since then we have started using Lattice for 360 degree feedback, 1:1s, weekly updates and for growth paths.
  • 1:1s
  • Weekly updates
  • Growth paths
  • Goal mannagement
  • Goals could be easier to understand
  • Lattice could build out more templates for growth paths and reviews
I find lattice to be an incredible tool and because lattice can be used for so many diffrent things it helps get teams to the system more and more over time. My biggest concern about lattice is the cost. Lattice is not a cheap tool to implement and pricing does increase. More templates for all their products would be great too. I would love to see lattice provide more value to their exsisting clients especially as competition starts creaping up on them in this space.

We use lattice for goal management & performance reviews - from self-reviews to peer feedback & upward reviews. It allows us to keep track of the goals we set on a quarterly basis, clearly track our progress towards completing them - and then easily evaluate our performance as well as the performance of our peers bi-annually to aid in our growth/development & also helps provide recognition for a job well done.
  • Helps you track against clear goals in one place.
  • Makes it easy to evaluate yourself based on your performance.
  • Makes it easy to evaluate your peers/managers & provide clear/detailed feedback.

Lattice is one of the best performance management systems that I've used at any employer. I think it's easy to use & makes it all the better to ensure goals are tracked and performance reviews happen in a timely manner.

At our company, we use Lattice for virtual performance evaluations, one-on-one check-ins, goal setting, task tracking, and project monitoring. Lattice helps us connect daily while working remotely. Lattice has been very helpful in terms of the manager/employee relationships and reviewing task progress. This program can range from daily updates to weekly reports.
  • Performance evaluations.
  • Goal setting.
  • Task tracking.
  • Project monitoring.
  • One-on-one check-ins.
  • Daily updates.
  • Progress reports.
  • Chat tool or function would be beneficial for instant communication.
I've found Lattice works best for weekly employee/manager one-on-one check-ins and performance evaluations. Personally, I use Lattice to record my weekly tasks so my manager can review my progress. So during our weekly meeting, we both reference those tasks in Lattice as if it were a digital checklist.

I use Lattice to accomplish multiple HR tasks and information on trainings and presentation of important organizational documents. Lattice is vital to an efficient workflow for my job, and to maintain communication with coworkers.
  • Giving me up to date information and tasks that enable me to complete necessary training experiences.
  • Giving me a user friendly interface/platform that allows me to communicate with coworkers, supervisor, etc.
  • It notifies me when I have things to do, and when I have completed necessary tasks.
  • It gives me a bank of completed tasks so that I can chronologically follow my progress over time as I have been with my organization.
  • Maybe interface with other platforms related to HR functions.
Well suited to organizations that have almost 100% remote/virtual employees. I would think it would be less appropriate for companies or organizations that are not very technologically based.

I use Lattice for 1:1 meeting agendas and tracking as well as goal tracking.

This allows for more organized and productive 1:1 meetings as we typically review the previous meeting's discussion points and review to see if everything has since been addressed.

For goal-tracking, this is where we track our progress on our current quarterly or annual goals with our team manager.
  • Lattice's goal-tracking does a good job of following up when you have not updated your goal progress.
  • Lattice is seamlessly linked through Slack so that we can get updates and reminders about upcoming meetings via Slack.
  • Very organized tracking with meeting points being saved from past meetings and easily shareable with the group.
  • There are "key factors" within your goals that are updated, but updating these does not inherently update your goal progress. This is a bit confusing for users when starting out.
I think Lattice is great for organizing 1:1 meetings and keeping historic summaries from these meetings. It is easy to go back and see what was discussed and if those talking points were ever addressed. The user must be diligent with inputting information for this to be useful.

I think Lattice simply is not as effective if users do not make it a point to use it for tracking their goal progress. It truly is as useful as the users want to make it.

We use Lattice for the following:
1. Performance reviews.
2. Praise & Feedback.
3. Pulse Surveys.
4. Setting goals.
5. Development Plan discussions.
6. Some people use it to plan 1:1 meetings and set agendas.

There is also a place to see company anniversaries and values. An org chart exists but it doesn't seem very user-friendly.
  • Performance Reviews - I like that you can write a review and see feedback in an adjacent pane to help it move along.
  • Public Praise.
  • Pulse Surveys.
  • The interface is a little bit difficult to navigate. I think the home page could be more streamlined.
  • There is no way to check off or complete goals. It just reminds you forever until you delete them. There should be a way to have a list of completed goals.
  • The org chart could be clearer, although it's possible that it's just how my company is doing it.
It's good for completing performance reviews and setting goals. However, goals should have a different setup, as I mentioned in the previous question. The company also uses it for pulse surveys and one large survey that goes out each year. While I don't have anything to do with compiling that data, it seems to be functional for the HR team. Their goal is to make sure that large survey is as anonymous as possible and that they are able to effectively compile the data. They share it with us. The org chart could be more user-friendly too.

We use Lattice to share our team goals and challenges for the week/month. To keep track of any traction that we are generating with our ongoing task and to have visibility across the team about any ongoing or shared issues that we see affecting our team's performance. It has been a beneficial tool when assigning goals to the team and calibrating them according to each team member's performance.
  • Coaching tracking.
  • Set goals for the team.
  • Track the team's performance.
  • User-Interface.
I don't recommend Lattice for HR when it comes to applying corrective actions to any team member for low performance. But it's beneficial to track the team performance, and it allows each team member to use their own words to explain their goals and the current challenges that they might be having at the moment.

We have been using Lattice for performance management for all employees across 5 entities for the past 3 years. We also use it for regular feedback.
  • Easy to use interface and functionality.
  • Helping managers keep track of performance for all employees in one place.
  • A public virtual space where team members can share positive feedback with one another.
  • They could make the homepage for users a bit more interactive and robust.
Lattice is a great tool for organizations that want to have all performance management in one place. We have been using the performance review module from the start, as well as feedback. We let managers decide if they want to use the 1:1 and Updates modules but we do encourage it as it provides a better experience for employees and managers when they track all of these activities in Lattice. We recently implemented Goals for my team but we have not rolled that out to all teams, however, I think that is a great way to help keep employees on track with their goals throughout the year which is beneficial for many reasons for companies. It may not be a good tool for companies that are super small and you don't have a need for something so robust.

Lattice allows us to efficiently run 1 on 1s in a remote environment, track goals, and align on ongoing projects and initiatives for the team. Lattice is super easy to use and helpful as a manager of a team. The tool can also be onboarded with no explanation which is great for fast-growing teams!
  • 1 on 1 agenda items
  • Goal tracking
  • Quarterly reviews
  • Better project management abilities, from the 1 on 1 tasks
Lattice is great for me as a first-time manager to run 1 on 1s and quarterly reviews. It is easy to use, track agenda items/goals, and for both my team and me to have the same visibility. I like that there are no surprises on 1 on 1s as you can send agenda items ahead of time.

Lattice is used to schedule 1:1 weekly meetings and for annual reviews. It was brought in to centralize our review process and be able to give feedback to members of the organization. It is also used to set up agenda items for weekly 1:1 meetings with the manager and direct reports.
  • Agenda Setting for 1:1 meetings
  • Reviews
  • Feedback
  • Being able to set up agenda items for a team, like a weekly huddle
I like Lattice to enter talking points for my weekly meeting with my manager. It serves as a working list for me so that whenever something pops into my head to talk to my manager or direct report about, I can plug it into our agenda. I also like how action items can be set during meetings with due dates so there is no miscommunication on a deadline. The only challenge with Lattice is that my team doesn't really like using it. We use many other tools like MS Teams, Slack, Zoom, etc. and it feels like a chore to get into a rhythm of using it. I don't require that they use it, but I find it helpful for myself when they use it to plug in their weekly 1:1 talking points.

We use Lattice here at Seamless.AI for 1on1 notes with our direct report, goal setting, quarterly reviews, employee shout outs, and to view organization charts. It is extremely convenient to have all of these things in one spot to reference as needed. Whenever I get a hire, I am able to update my goals and then reference those when I'm filling out my quarterly review or going over things with my boss in our 1on1.
  • Organization

  • Org chart showing start dates of employees
I love using Lattice to complete my quarterly reviews - because anything I'd want to reference from the past quarter (in terms of employee feedback received, manager feedback from 1on1s, and goals I've set for myself) are all shown in lattice and are easy to reference while completing my personal review.

Lattice is used to conduct 1:1s with our subordinates. Each week we are able to write new questions, concerns, and address issues within the system. The system also allows you to return to prior 1:1s in order to see what might not have been addressed. The system also allows you to add items from the last 1:1 if you do it before the start of the new 1:1. We also use the tool to record our goals and achievements. Finally we use this tool for our quarterly review cycle.
  • 1:1 recording
  • Adding details from historical 1:1
  • Goals
  • Review cycles, this is not intuitive and there are so many steps in order to close the cycle
  • Only can add to a 1:1 historical data if you get in before you start the current 1:1
Lattice is suited for the basic recording of details. It is helpful when completing reviews as you have details regarding what happened each week with your direct reports. I appreciate the fact that items can be added from past 1:1s and that you have strikethrough options or that you both can be writing at the same time and details show up in real time.

We use Lattice across the organization for 1:1 notes and tracking, performance reviews, and goal settings. It allows for operational efficiency and convenient tracking and storing for progress milestones and updates. It's easy to sync 1:1's to calendars, set reminders, and give preparation time before meetings. We also use Lattice for PIP and other performance improvement initiatives.
  • Meeting reminders
  • Note recaps
  • Calendar Syncing
  • Public and Private notes
  • Easier to move meetings that have changed from the original scheduled time
  • Prompts to review and update goals
Lattice is very user-friendly. The interface is simple and not overwhelming, and the layout allows for easy self training and quick adoption. The pre and post 1:1 meeting recaps allow everyone to stay aligned.

Lattice is used in our entire company. It allows our teams to communicate with others on a regular basis while also helping individuals review their week and set visible goals for accountability purposes. Before Lattice, we were struggling with how to connect as teams, business units, and as a company as a whole.
  • set goals
  • allowing management to provide review of goals
  • lift up other teammates
  • could be easier to navigate
  • could be easier to review goals from previous weeks/months

We currently use Lattice to conduct all of our reviews as well as offer praise to other employees. We do reviews on a quarterly basis so we use the system quite a bit. We are also supposed to track all of our goals in the system as well. Our Culture Team relies on it quite heavily.

My company uses Lattice for a lot of HR functions: 1) performance reviews, 2) OKRs/goal tracking, 3) internal NPS surveys, 4) 1:1 management, 5) sharing private feedback, 6) sharing praise (via Slack), and 7) personal development.

What I like most about Lattice is the simplicity of the user interface, which makes it extremely easy to use with minimal need for training. Lattice's OKR tracking best exemplifies this.

Before Lattice, my company managed OKRs in a single Google spreadsheet — this was nightmarish for tracking and maintaining visibility, and soured most of our organization to the concept of goal tracking.

Then we switched to Lattice, and that changed everything.

I've used Lattice OKR tracking both as a manager and individual contributor. Lattice makes an intimidating process easy. As a manager, creating OKRs for your department and individual contributors that roll into the larger company objectives is a breeze. Email and Slack reminders to update OKRs keep everyone on track. Then when the quarter is over, it's easy to see how you did and what should be rolled into the next quarter.

Personally, I highly recommend Lattice if your company needs a better way of managing OKRs, performance reviews, and internal NPS.

  • Simplifying OKR tracking for a company of 100+ employees
  • Simplifying performance reviews for a company of 100+ employees
  • Making it easy for end users to get started with minimal (or zero) training
  • Integrating with Slack to automate key notifications
  • 1:1 management tool is a little clunky. I prefer to just use a Google doc.
If a colleague were to ask for a solution for OKR management, performance reviews, eNPS, and/or employee growth planning then I'd 100% give Lattice my strongest recommendation. Those features are all thoughtfully designed, easy to use, and most importantly stress-free.

Our entire company uses Lattice to document meetings between managers and their direct reports, give feedback to colleagues, and conduct review cycles using surveys. We can use the feedback feature to give to any coworker or manager. The feedback can be private, shared with a manager and the other person, or shared publicly with the company. It is a great way to document progress and boost morale and strengthen relationships. We use Lattice for our weekly one-on-ones with our manager, which helps to keep meetings structured and productive. Our review cycle works alongside our one-on-ones and provides a way to make meaningful improvements in my career.
  • 1:1s with managers help employees to grow by documenting changes and new skills
  • Reviews of managers and self reviews spark creativity, insight, and self-awareness.
  • Lattice facilitates long-term career growth.
  • being able to take notes during a meeting that both people see is useful and helps with understanding in communication.
  • Public feedback is a great way to support colleagues during more stressful moments.
  • It is not easy to locate past 1:1s to take more notes or review what was discussed.
  • As soon as your 1:1 time is over, clicking the 1:1 button takes you to the next meeting. It would be nice if it was available the rest of the day or easier to move back.
  • It would be nice to flip between 1:1s using arrows or click a button to document when the meeting is canceled or rescheduled.
It is easy to forget about past achievements as hectic schedules take over. The feedback feature is a great reminder of skills learned and keeps your strengths on your manager's radar. The manager review feature is a great way to give feedback to your manager when it may be more difficult to bring it up in a meeting. Lattice shouldn't be used for scheduling.

Lattice was used to keep talking points and past meeting discussions in an organized way. It was a way to provide feedback to managers and keep a running list of things employees needed help with.
  • Organizing meetings
  • Providing feedback to managers
  • Lattice could offer more prompts for talking points
Lattice was best suited for preparing for 1x1s with colleagues and managers. I do wish lattice offered the ability to have multiple people collaborate on a single meeting instance. For weekly calls with teams, we couldn't leverage Lattice because of the limited users on a meeting.

We sourced several vendors for a solution to our Performance Management dilemma late last summer; ADP provided a product that was completely ineffective for our needs. Lattice offered everything in a platform that we needed/wanted and they were selected as our vendor of choice - hands down, the best out there! Among the solutions Lattice offered us is their calibration component, which ensures a less time-consuming manual process. We're using it across the organization in our CA, TX, and VA sites.
  • User-friendly approach for employees and managers
  • Calibration process
  • Admin's can set-up reviews with ease now
  • Communications, such as reminders, are sent timely and generate action by both employees and managers
  • Customer service is stellar with real-time chats, which provide guidance and/or resolutions to any issue we may face during a review cycle
  • Compensation application would alleviate a complex matrix system that we currently use; this is something Lattice has in development currently and we look forward to utilizing it in the future
[Lattice is] well suited to organizations with it being super user-friendly, to the employees and leadership. The calibration piece is such a big advantage for our company during our merit increase processes. The reviews themselves are fast and easy to set-up and roll-out to the company. We love the email communications that are sent as reminders and next actions for both the employee and managers.

We really have found no scenario where it is lacking, other than we're looking forward to the rollout of the additional compensation help that Lattice has in development.

Lattice is used by the organization to drive goals and objects on a quarterly basis. It is used across the whole organization, and it helps keep every department accountable to their goals. As part of our company values, we set high goals for ourselves and we always strive to achieve them even if they may not be attainable. The business problem it addresses is how to keep moving the company goals forward to achieve bigger and brighter objectives.
  • Team Management - all team members within departments are easily visible with their individual quarterly goals
  • Self-Reviews - at the end of every quarter, we have a self review to go over the goals that were set
  • Goal Setting and Ownership - objectives for each quarter are identified and given to team members for responsibility
  • Getting to Know the Team - Helps to put a face to names in departments you are not a member of
  • Navigating on the website can be confusing. Webpage design can be improved.
  • Management Reviews could be more specific. They are only given one text box to provide feedback on Self-Reviews.
  • The way in which goals are set and how to edit them is confusing. Found myself with repeating goals from a previous quarter even though I tried to turn them off as they were complete.
Lattice is well suited for aligning company and departmental goals together with the individual team members. Overall it helped to improve productivity by allowing objectives to be set, owned, and tracked by individual team members. It was nice checking in midway and seeing the progress reports being done on goals.

We use Lattice across the whole organization mainly for writing weekly updates and sharing with our colleagues and organizing our 1:1 meeting notes. It is convenient for sharing the updates with the other team members and I would tell just for note-taking. Great that you can check the history of your updates which you did quite a long time ago. It is also a great tool for setting goals and updating milestones. You can anytime check the updates of your colleagues and have a general overview of what was done during a specific time period by other members.
  • Adding Updates and Checking Colleague's updates
  • 1:1 s notes
  • You can leave Feedback for colleagues
  • The interface, while adding the text it may sometime crash and show the HTML tags
  • Support Response Time
Great tool for managers to check on their team members and have a record of their updates.
If you use any other tool where it is clear what the employees were doing or on what projects they were concentrated on, I don't think it makes sense to use Lattice, it is gonna be a headache for employees to collect all they did within a specific period and write an update about their work which is already tracked.

We initially launched Lattice to handle our employee engagement platform. It was used for about 2 years and was to be our primary platform for employee one on ones. Although I personally found it easy to use, overall, the product was not received well by the workforce and was not used to its potential. Lattice offered an easy way to stay engaged with employees but ultimately was not adopted to its full potential.
  • One on one management.
  • Goal setting and tracking from top to Bottom.
  • Rewarding employees for meeting targets with incentives.
  • Bonusly integration.
  • The goal settings across functional teams is difficult to follow.
Good corporate engagement platform is adopted by the workforce.

We primarily use Lattice for 1:1 agendas, OKR tracking, and weekly updates. I really like the OKR tracking. It helps keep me accountable to the goals that I've committed to and serves as a constant reminder. The 1:1 agendas feel like a glorified note and follow-up system which I already have a good process for outside of Lattice so I don't feel like that component adds any real value. I also use the tool occasionally to provide feedback for colleagues. This feature isn't widely used across the company but I like it because it feels more formal than a simple email or conversation and can be easily incorporated into performance reviews.
  • OKR Tracking
  • UX is great and constantly improved
  • 1:1 follow-up tracking
  • 1:1 agendas feel like they don't add much value outside of a traditional note taking process
Goal tracking is great, 1:1 agendas feel a little overkill
