Lattice has become an essential tool for users when it comes to conducting performance reviews, tracking goals, and offering praise on a quarterly basis. The software's flexibility allows it to be heavily relied upon by the Culture Team within the organization for managing various aspects of employee development and engagement, including pulse surveys, OKRs, 360-degree feedback, 1-on-1s, weekly updates, and growth paths. Users appreciate how Lattice streamlines collaboration, goal sharing, and progress tracking across different teams and departments. It facilitates communication, goal setting, and messaging throughout the organization, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Additionally, Lattice's transparency and accountability features have proven valuable for managers and the entire C-suite in terms of tracking progress and maintaining alignment with company goals. Overall, Lattice helps users stay focused on achieving their goals while strengthening relationships between managers and employees.

Intuitive User Interface: Many users have praised the intuitive and user-friendly interface of Lattice, with multiple reviewers stating that it allows both employees and managers to easily navigate and use the platform effectively. The design simplifies the performance review process, enabling users to quickly write reviews and view feedback in an adjacent pane. This streamlined approach speeds up the review cycle, saving time and effort for users.

Seamless Integrations: Reviewers appreciate the seamless integration of Lattice with other tools such as Slack and Google Sheets. Users value the ability to access updates and reminders easily, as well as share progress with team members, enhancing collaboration and efficiency. These integrations make it easier for users to incorporate Lattice into their existing workflow, improving productivity and streamlining processes.

Goal-tracking Functionality: The goal-tracking functionality in Lattice has received high praise from users. Several reviewers have highlighted its effectiveness in following up when users have not updated their goal progress. This feature ensures that goals are actively monitored and progress is tracked effectively, fostering creativity, insight, and self-awareness among individuals. By empowering users to take ownership of their professional development, this capability promotes personal growth and achievement.

Difficult Navigation: Some users have found the interface of Lattice difficult to navigate, expressing that it could be more streamlined. They have suggested improvements to the home page layout in order to enhance user experience.

Goal Tracking and Completion: Users have mentioned frustration with the inability to check off or complete goals within Lattice. This results in the system continuously reminding them until the goals are manually deleted. Several users have expressed a desire for a feature that allows them to keep track of completed goals for future reference.

Lack of Customization and Integration: Reviewers have pointed out limitations in customization options and integration capabilities within Lattice. They feel that there should be more templates available for growth paths and reviews, as well as additional integrations with different HR systems.

Users highly recommend Lattice for its capabilities in processing planning and launching new products. However, they have made several recommendations to enhance the user experience. Firstly, users suggest that the user interface could be more intuitive, with changes in background colors and more active images. Secondly, users express that the current appearance of Lattice is plain and resembles a notepad. They recommend incorporating visual elements to make it more visually appealing and engaging for users. Lastly, users advise making improvements to the UI to make it more user-friendly, such as streamlining processes or adding features that simplify navigation and task execution.

I use Lattice for 1:1 meeting agendas and tracking as well as goal tracking.

This allows for more organized and productive 1:1 meetings as we typically review the previous meeting's discussion points and review to see if everything has since been addressed.

For goal-tracking, this is where we track our progress on our current quarterly or annual goals with our team manager.
  • Lattice's goal-tracking does a good job of following up when you have not updated your goal progress.
  • Lattice is seamlessly linked through Slack so that we can get updates and reminders about upcoming meetings via Slack.
  • Very organized tracking with meeting points being saved from past meetings and easily shareable with the group.
  • There are "key factors" within your goals that are updated, but updating these does not inherently update your goal progress. This is a bit confusing for users when starting out.
I think Lattice is great for organizing 1:1 meetings and keeping historic summaries from these meetings. It is easy to go back and see what was discussed and if those talking points were ever addressed. The user must be diligent with inputting information for this to be useful.

I think Lattice simply is not as effective if users do not make it a point to use it for tracking their goal progress. It truly is as useful as the users want to make it.

We use Lattice for the following:
1. Performance reviews.
2. Praise & Feedback.
3. Pulse Surveys.
4. Setting goals.
5. Development Plan discussions.
6. Some people use it to plan 1:1 meetings and set agendas.

There is also a place to see company anniversaries and values. An org chart exists but it doesn't seem very user-friendly.
  • Performance Reviews - I like that you can write a review and see feedback in an adjacent pane to help it move along.
  • Public Praise.
  • Pulse Surveys.
  • The interface is a little bit difficult to navigate. I think the home page could be more streamlined.
  • There is no way to check off or complete goals. It just reminds you forever until you delete them. There should be a way to have a list of completed goals.
  • The org chart could be clearer, although it's possible that it's just how my company is doing it.
It's good for completing performance reviews and setting goals. However, goals should have a different setup, as I mentioned in the previous question. The company also uses it for pulse surveys and one large survey that goes out each year. While I don't have anything to do with compiling that data, it seems to be functional for the HR team. Their goal is to make sure that large survey is as anonymous as possible and that they are able to effectively compile the data. They share it with us. The org chart could be more user-friendly too.

We have been using Lattice for performance management for all employees across 5 entities for the past 3 years. We also use it for regular feedback.
  • Easy to use interface and functionality.
  • Helping managers keep track of performance for all employees in one place.
  • A public virtual space where team members can share positive feedback with one another.
  • They could make the homepage for users a bit more interactive and robust.
Lattice is a great tool for organizations that want to have all performance management in one place. We have been using the performance review module from the start, as well as feedback. We let managers decide if they want to use the 1:1 and Updates modules but we do encourage it as it provides a better experience for employees and managers when they track all of these activities in Lattice. We recently implemented Goals for my team but we have not rolled that out to all teams, however, I think that is a great way to help keep employees on track with their goals throughout the year which is beneficial for many reasons for companies. It may not be a good tool for companies that are super small and you don't have a need for something so robust.

Lattice is being used by my organization across the entire company. We mainly use it to manage our personal goals and also to track 1-on-1's with managers each week. Our senior leadership team often uses the pulse survey feature to evaluate how the company is doing in the eyes of each employee.
  • Help organize 1:1 interactions with managers for effective communication.
  • Track employee's views on the company.
  • Allows for transparency between senior leadership and employees.
  • Pulse surveys on a numeric scale and not just agree/not agree etc.
  • Improved functionality around goal tracking.
  • Remove sentiment tracking - employees can't be honest.
Lattice is well suited to track interactions between managers and their team and fosters open and transparent communication. It's great to have a way to track the agenda each week for my 1-on-1's with my managers.

I think Lattice isn't as helpful for personal goal tracking. This functionality can be a bit confusing and overwhelming to fill out and keep tracking/editing over time.

Lattice is being used as the review solution throughout our entire organization.
  • Lattice is agile
  • Lattice is intuitive
  • Lattice is simple
  • The UI is so simple that it results in some constraints.
  • It would be nice to have a bit more settings that an IC can configure.
Lattice is a great tool for very simple teams but for larger organizations, a bit more customization is required.

Lattice is being used across all of the organization. We use it to align the same objectives across the company. The great thing about the software is that you can customize it to follow the OKR methodology which we use internally and you get to understand how each objective from each member in the organization is correlated and points to a bigger goal.
  • You can follow the OKR methodology within the software.
  • You get a clear picture of the hierarchy and the organizational chart of the business.
  • It can be integrated with Slack.
  • Email notifications are quite annoying, they should be customizable and more useful.
  • Workes better on desktop than in the app.
  • Customer support is not very fast on issue resolution.
Lattice is very useful for technological companies that want to focus their efforts on the OKR methodology as there are not a lot of tools in the market that can be adapted to do it. It's useful for big organizations since the cost is a bit high and its functionalities only make sense when a certain number of employees is met.

We use Lattice as the major software platform for assisting in the establishment, cascading, managing and measuring of progress against established corporate, department and individual goals/objectives. It has proven to be very effective across the enterprise, especially as it relates to the cascading of goals from the top of the organization down to the individual contributor level. Most recently, we've had managers start to use the "check-in" feature, which allows for a real-time assessment of where people stand individually, as a department, or as an organization in our collective progress against established objectives. The transparency Lattice creates is a tremendous resource for the entire C-suite, as we are able to easily drill-down and see any outliers... ensuring we are all continuing to march in the same direction and at the same speed.
  • Lattice helps drive the cascading of goals/objectives down thru the entire organization. (This is crucial, in my experience, as employee engagement is more easily achieved when we can create that "line of sight" for people at all levels of the company.).
  • Lattice creates a living, breathing talent management platform... allowing managers - and employees - to stop worrying about remembering all the great achievements that should be acknowledged during performance feedback discussions. The check-in feature (when used appropriately) keeps employees focused and managers informed.
  • Lattice provides an intuitive performance feedback process/platform, which is configurable to a great degree to meet the needs of our organization.
  • While I am delighted to find that the Lattice platform offers a 360 Feedback, it is a bit rudimentary. No ability to do any statistical analysis of responses/ratings, etc. Would really like to see them beef this area up, as it is a tremendous value add to have as a part of the platform.
  • I'd love to see the Lominger competency library as a standard option to choose from in the set-up. That is (in my experience, anyway) the most-comprehensive competency library available, and would love to be able to access as a standard part of Lattice.
  • On the back-end of the formal performance feedback cycle, I believe those with Admin rights need to be able to have access to ALL forms at all times. We are often asked by managers to go in and make changes or edits once a review has been submitted, and at present, it takes a bit of time to find the workaround. Not an optimal approach.
I think Lattice is well suited for nearly any scenario... but can see that as we grow, there may come a day when we simply outgrow its capabilities (at least as they stand presently). But for start-ups and small or mid-sized companies, the "bang for the buck" is second to none!
