Lifesize has always been a reliable product but they sure need to catch up on a lot of other features that Zoom has implemented for it's meetings. There is more control in a Zoom meeting and Lifesize needs to catch up. I guess teh tough part is that they are more hardware based and Zoom is more software based.

We have license that is low on users, because we don't need to have everyone who calls us added to our account. We have never needed to scale up our user base, nor ha the hardware, but I know that we can add hardware and users very easily when needed.

Given that these units are really standalone you can scale as needed. I really wish there was some type of interconnection or awareness from unit to unit. I want all the systems under my supervision to be connected. A single dashboard would really make it feel as if it was something you could scale.

Regardless of our experience in a variety of conferencing situations it has performed very well. We have used GoToMeeting and some other tools, but it has had problems for the users as well as the attendees. Given the ability to have multiple rooms and how we utilize our exisiting seats we have secure and stable connectivity on campus, but more than that we have professors and staff who have the ability to access Lifesize from any location and feel confident that their session will work well for them.

We are a mid size company and it functions pretty well. Smaller companies might have a hard time with the cost point and not get the maximum benefit from the powerful software lifesize is. It would work great for large corporations too given support and functionality

Lifesize has expanded its cloud video conferencing and I foresee it going that direction instead of room to room hardware. We currently have no plan to add or upgrade any of our in room systems but having the ability to connect room to cloud or cloud to cloud is an excellent feature from Lifesize.

With LifeSize Cloud, it's very easy to simply add another Icon to your system and join it to your cloud. You can easily and instantly create meetings and add users both in your organization and out without any difficulty. The cooperation between the Icons and cloud users running on their laptops makes it easy to scale this out to your entire company, including joint venture without difficulty.

It's pretty impressive the number of people the system can support both in total and per conference. The system handles large numbers of connections pretty well, although there's little control over how participants are displayed on screen. One of its greatest strengths is adding large number of both video and audio connections simultaneously.
