We had applied a Linux update that resulted in a server malfunction that we had difficulty resolving. A member of their support team helped us remedy the issue in under 15 minutes.

It was a time, when we have issue with moving some instances from one account to another account. It was really getting a nightmare as we had been trying all ourself with manual migration by creating new server in new customer accounts. Then came their rocking support team, which gave us a clear way, and helped us to just move the entire instance from one customer account to another. It was a breeze and a great sign of relief to us, else we would have spent days togather to just get this simple task done.

The only testament to Linode's "Heroic Support" is that I have never had occasion to call upon it. Every time I have an issue, it's resolved quickly. When I had to restore an instance from backup, that was no big deal for me as an end-user. Not support required.

There was an issue that ultimately resulted from an issue in one of the software stack being used on the server. While this was outside of Linode's obligations, they provided support over a span of 1 month trying to diagnose the issue and was able to pinpoint its source.

I was struggling to access my Linode through SSH and submitted a support ticket. Even though the problem eventually had nothing to do with Linode itself (I was just being an idiot), the support staff was both kind and incredibly helpful. They worked with me throughout the entire process to make sure I eventually got into my Linode.

Yes, once our company was in a meeting with our new clients and we had to show them our work, but, that time, the Linode server was inactive which let us lose the deal and money. We shared the concern with Linode and they provided us with some coupons to be used for extending our Linode package.

Once it seemed my server was attacked/DDoSed. Linode seemed to take extra time to write extra detail of all options of what I could/should do and how, until the problem was resolved. Later I ended up also deciding to reinstall (for extra security) and add a firewall to prevent the same happening but they had already summarized how to do that without too much inconvenience, then were also available to give more detail before/at the time of the reinstall, and they have an article on firewall setup.

I asked for some help in the community support site about some Linode products other than VPSs (storage mostly). I received a prompt response to my community support query from a Linode staff member. The staff member told me exactly what I wanted to know...and recommend an easier alternative for the same price. I really can't stress enough that the support is top-notch and NOT pay-extra or tiered.
