Linode is my preferred supplier for self-managed web hosting.

If you just need a website and don’t have a desire to learn server administration, Linode isn’t for you. For any service where virtualized servers are appropriate, it’s hard for me to see where Linode would be unsuitable. They’ve always handled my needs, from a simple $5 “nanode” to clusters of servers providing online learning environments and video processing/transcoding/hosting for an online higher ed institution.

Because it can build up bespoke tech stacks, Linode is a cheaper option to rivals like cloud services. There are hardly no downtimes for this tool server because of its incredibly solid stability. Also Linode is a fantastic web host as their shared hosting plans are faster than competing companies. Plus, with Linode, you can find a package that suits your budget and needs with no effort at all.

5 stars for instant deployment, a much easier marketplace than other cloud providers, and ....... WAY LOWER PRICE per Linode VM!! Not so good integration with other cloud providers, or scripting environments like Terraform, etc. (uses its scripting environment). Even though the pricing is BY FAR THE LOWEST on all cloud providers, there is no easy way to "manage" VMs and share access to others easily and control what they can create (role-based access control to "account" in general). For startups, fast/instant PoC (Proof of Concepts) scenarios, are highly recommended!

Linode is a great provider for companies that want to host a few applications. They have great IaaS solutions and are starting to move into PaaS with Kubernetes.

Linode provides a wide range of configurations and prices, suitable for many budgets and needs. They also have a lot of experience in providing these services for many years.

We have almost exclusively used Debian distributions for our work, but they offer a large number of other versions of Linux.

Beside "raw" distributions of Linux, they also offer other VMs containing specialized installations of a variety of applications, such as Wordpress, Drupal and Docker.

Linode is very cost effective tool compared to other tools as it is also able to setup custom tech stacks for instance spin-up VMS unlike Amazon Web Services, Oracle Cloud etc. This tool server is very solid and fast, it rarely goes down or has any issues in regard to performance. Linode has a highly-secured, reliable and easy to deploy servers suitable for organizations that are data sensitive.

Linode is very huge service for companies that needs certain price and stable service.

Linode has been well suited for us for web hosting as even their cheapest shared hosting plan has been leaps and bounds more performant than shared web hosting provided by other companies. I cannot attest to situations where Linode wouldn't be as applicable, but for those looking for a very affordable solution to web hosting for those who need a proper server and have the willingness to set up Linux, I fully believe that Linode will be perfect.

I recommend it to everyone who asks me and who needs excellent support in the technological part or to run applications with high performance.

For me in a small business this fits well. We can scale up and down easily. I have a server guy to do maintenance. There is a human customer service to talk to for billing issues. It has an international footprint - so that helps us.

Linode is comparatively affordable to Azure and, GCP, AWS. For starters experiments, I would strongly suggest Linode as the best place to begin experimentation. Linode is very cost-effective for setting up custom tech stacks like LAMP or MEAN stack to deploy applications. Additionally, the documentation was really good for self-support users.

I would go for Linode if the job requires a more straightforward, lean, and budget-conscious hosting solution compared to the bigger clouds like Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud, etc.; yet would require a more performant and reputable vendor with better support when the software being hosted is mission-critical or client-facing.

We do both software development and DevOps. In nearly EVERY case, Linode was a better fit for our clients than the "Big 3" competitors, based on Linode's simple, predictable pricing structure, and the ease of provisioning and configuring... which typically takes about 1/10 of the time compared to the "Big 3".

For a small number of single-purpose or bespoke virtual servers, Linode is my go-to solution. For something larger such as Kubernetes clusters, I would veer towards Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.

Their server hardware is very solid and fast. I never have to worry about servers going down or any performance issues.

Linode is well suited for organizations who are looking for highly-secured, highly available, and easy to deploy servers.

Linode provides a simple-to-use cloud experience, while it ensures the best performance for an IaaS provider and a great uptime rate so you can have the best solution within the best cost-benefit rate.

The performance of Linode is excellent and has never failed us on any day. It effectively monitors data from external sources and transforms it for business planning. It has a great backup and recovery system that gives our workforce team trust and more time to concentrate on more productive duties. It estimates the cost of project implementation and offers the best criteria of implementing tasks at minimum cost.

Linode Virtual Machines provide us [with a] quick and easy way to deploy web applications. The performance is great for small LAMP stack applications. Getting an application up and running fast is easy with Linode. A load-balanced solution spanning multiple data centers is recommended as Linode downtime though not often can be lengthy.

It monitors the performance of all activities coordinated from our servers and gives feedback to our engineers when there is a problem with our systems. Linode itself is a very cheap tool and it has multiple benefits to all businesses, especially for easy data encryption, data back up, and the data recovery tools are excellent and effective. Linode can quickly move a group of different data with different formats across several platforms and very securely.

This product has very effective tools that streamline data management infrastructure. It gives our team access controls to all our websites from the cloud with secure coding. It manages all workflows and provides reliable backup and recovery options for any information that is useful in our company. The cost of maintenance is affordable and the learning curve can easily be managed by beginners.
