We ended up replacing LivePerson with another software suite developed in-house. I'd imagine if they were to keep LivePerson it would have been for the ability to eliminate high volume queues faster than with traditional phone support.

LivePerson has been a great tool for our company and everything is customized. We can customize everything from the canned responses, operator surveys, and customer surveys. We receive a lot of positive information from our customers; and to be able to provide technical support of the website as well as status information for already placed orders is awesome.

It is not my decision to renew, however, we've used LP for so long and that our reporting would be really difficult to replicate with a new program. For consistency, it would be difficult to compare Y/Y traffic, conversion, etc. if we started fresh with a new program.

LivePerson is allowing us to generate significant revenue that we might not have been in the position to earn otherwise. It is a core way that a few of our employees conduct their days and we haven't had many problems with the solution. If it's up to me, we'll have LivePerson around.

The product was great, but the effectiveness will go down the more you use the product. You will find all the problems within the first few months, and future use will be for trend spotting.

LivePerson's pricing is prohibitive to us renewing the service. We have used LivePerson for a long time and use to pay per number of concurrent user in chat, they changed their pricing model without communicating with us and our price went up by 5 times the price. Between the poor communication, poor user experience and limited reporting, we decided we are ready to move to the next level.
