Logi Analytics is a versatile tool that is widely used across various departments and industries. Users, including developers in Marketing, Client Support, and Corporate Technology, rely on Logi Info to consolidate and analyze data from different sources, creating content and reports. The software's ability to provide quick and effective visualizations of data sets has made it invaluable for both business and IT departments. For instance, in the healthcare sector, Logi Analytics has been rolled out to hospital customers, providing them with instant access to financial status reports instead of spending hours generating and sorting files. Other use cases include tracking time logging in manufacturing processes, managing equipment, downtime, and monitoring patient volumes and cash collections. Additionally, the low-code deployment and low cost of Logi Analytics make it an attractive option for businesses looking to develop web applications or create embedded analytics tools for their customers.

Flexible and Versatile: Many users praised the tool's flexibility and versatility, with some reviewers stating that it can be used for anything and accessed from anywhere since it is web-based. This was appreciated by a significant number of users who found it convenient for their diverse needs.

Extensive Customization Options: The extensive customization options offered by Logi Analytics were highly valued by reviewers. Some users commended the tool's ability to integrate multiple data sources seamlessly, while others highlighted its high level of customizability, allowing them to create actionable insights tailored to their specific needs.

Excellent Support: The excellent support provided by Logi Analytics was consistently mentioned by users as a major advantage. Reviewers described the support staff as responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful in addressing any technical challenges. This positive experience with customer support contributed to a high level of user satisfaction.

Difficult JavaScript Integration: Many users have expressed difficulty in incorporating JavaScript into Logi Info. The process requires multiple resources to translate between Logi and JavaScript, which adds complexity and creates challenges for developers.

Overwhelming Toolbox: Users have found the vast toolbox of Logi Info to be overwhelming. They feel that there is an abundance of tools available but struggle to determine which ones are most suitable for their specific use case. This lack of guidance can lead to confusion and inefficiency in development.

Lack of User-Friendly Online Help: Users have suggested that the online help provided by Logi Info could be more user-friendly. They find the technical documentation to be complex and lacking explanations from a layman's perspective. Simplifying the language used in the documentation would make it easier for users to understand and utilize the features effectively.

The possibility of this application of low code and low-cost deployment truly allows us to construct an embedded kind of analytics tool. BI and analytics with Logi Info analytics is one of the greatest choices we've made. One of the finest aspects of this program is data preparation and advanced analytics.
  • Schedule and distribute large scale dynamic reporting.
  • Adaptive security framework.
  • Customisation with actionable insights.
  • Improvement needed in NLQ.
  • Improvement in natural language generation section.
This was an excellent platform for predictive analytics since it assessed a certain pattern in previous data for larger payments in specific locations in order to detect fraud and waste for confidential customers. With prebuilt data models, the insights generated by this technology were simple to integrate and interpret.

We use Logi Info with our product and the specialty of the Logi Info is, it was embedded with our product and it was easy to manage the data from our application. We did not require any development effort to implement it with our product. It's very cool as well as cost effective. Also, it supports all the graphs and analytics offered by Tableau. It's helping us to view our product insights like how many users interacted with our application, converted leads, revenue generated and expenses at one destination.
  • Easy to read colorful graphs and analytics dashboard
  • Easy to embed with any database
  • Operational Analytics
  • Support with multiple technologies
  • Tutorials should be improved as initially it looks complex to use.
  • Performance of the platform as sometimes it takes a lot of time to load the data.
  • Add feature to capture short term events and sessions analytics
Logi Info is very efficient when we need to make the customized reports. It is very easy to drag and drop the data elements and generate report. We have a multiple data sources and Logi Info makes it easier to bring the data from different sources and show it on the dashboard.

We currently use Logi Analytics across multiple departments, as simple reports or as full scale web apps. These reports solve a number of formerly manual processes, as well as allowing for scalability.
  • Ease of development
  • Connection to virtually any data source
  • Embedding
  • HTML 5
  • Scalability
  • Flexibility toward user requirements
  • Analysis Grid could be more use- friendly
  • Parameter passing from report to process can be difficult
  • CSS enhancements can be counter intuitive
It is flexible enough for any solution, and can retrieve data from any data source. Given its incredible flexibility, caution should be exercised to ensure that it is always the appropriate solution, especially in the case of enterprise application development.

It was used by the product teams. The tool easily could do analytics on top of the EZLynx portal and was vastly used to put metrics and baselines together.
  • Logi Analytics has a good embedded analytics platform that helps the user do analysis faster.
  • Logi provides a very good scalability option.
  • It does analytics on top of a web-based platform, which is good for quick insights into performance.
  • The online community is lacking. It is difficult to find solutions to problems while developing analysis.
  • For complex analytics, it doesn't have enough documentation.
  • Has deployment issues.
From a development perspective, embedding Logi into our existing user interface was found to be quick and easy. Logi is highly customizable so it gives a seamless experience as we move from the original UI screens to the Logi based reporting and BI screens. Logi is transitioning to an API based approach which is being rolled out gradually. I like the direction the product is taking but would prefer to do our development once this transition is complete.

We use Logi to manage the time logging for our manufacturing processes. We have also created many dashboards and process improvements with this tool.
  • Logi is very agile- you can use it for anything.
  • Logi can be set up to be accessed from anywhere since it is web-based.
  • Logi gives you a platform so each project and report already has a head start.
  • I would love to have access to better training for my new users and developers.
  • An updated interface is probably due.
  • I haven’t talked to the company since we purchase it, would love to have them reach out to me.
If you have a developer that needs a reporting platform, Logi works fine.

Logi Analytics is being used by our company to create our business intelligence product, which we then sell to our customers. It is primary being used by the software development team to design, prototype, and create dashboards and reports. This allows us to get to market quicker than our previous product. Logi also allow their product to be white labelled so our customers feel like it is our product.
  • Logi is able to quickly prototype visualizations for data set
  • Logi is easy to install and get running.
  • Logi provides great documentation for developing on our own.
  • Missing functionality with self service. You cannot group with aggregation.
  • Out of the box the styling isn't the greatest. You'll need someone with CSS knowledge.
Logi is well suited for companies that have someone they can dedicate to developing Logi. If you don't have this person then you will struggle with adoption and it will take a long time to develop visually appealing reports and dashboards. If you don't care about visually appealing reports and already have the data you need to report on then that isn't as much of a barrier.

I use Logi to write applications or reports for many different areas of our company. Key examples include Payroll, Finance, Quality Assurance, Nursing, Compliance, Operations. I use it to create dashboards for our executives to get a good picture of how our company is performing on a daily basis.
  • Charts, graphs, data tables.
  • A nice tool to organize, filter and analyze the tons of data that we have
  • Graphic user interface makes programming applications pretty easy
  • Support. Logi used to provide EXCELLENT support. However, they've changed their support model and no longer provide excellent help. I used to get problems resolved within 15-30 minutes. Now, it has gone down to 48 hour response time just to answer a simple question. In-depth questions can go on for days or weeks.
  • Based upon the change in support, and the fact that we pay for 'unlimited phone support' in our annual contract, we are moving away from using LOGI as a tool for the future.
  • Learning CSS and Javascript would make you a better LOGI developer.
Logi is an excellent tool, but you need support to be able to use it. Based on their new support model, the product would not be usable by a new organization starting from scratch.

We use Logi within our SAAS product to provide analytics to our customers pertaining to the data they have collected in our system.
  • Very configurable for integrating as embedded analytics within an application.
  • Good training and support to get ramped as a user.
  • Convenient pricing model for a SAAS based business us.
  • More customer-facing self-service analysis for our customers
  • More native JS embedded analytics
Logi was created as an embedded analytics tool within an application. It is less well suited as a standalone data analysis tool.

We use it within the Facilities Department to track equipment, downtime, and the current status of Sorters and Conveyors.
  • Support is top notch
  • Allows us to bring disparate data sources and systems together into one application. Our users only need to login into one system to obtain information about all 7 Distribution Centers
  • Logi Analytics makes all technical information available to everyone which makes it easy for everyone to research and learn about their product
  • I really haven't found any cons or showstoppers with Logi. I've been able to accomplish everything I've needed to do.
Good for bringing data from disparate data sources together. It has the flexibility to customize a report in any way imaginable. If a feature isn't provided by Logi you can develop your own solution and integrate it within Logi.

We are a healthcare software vendor, and we use Logi Analytics as the delivery platform to provide interactive and easy to use Dashboards to end users. The healthcare organizations we serve use these dashboards throughout their facilities to monitor everything from patient volumes and throughput times at the time of service to cash collections throughout the life cycle of the patient account. It gives the customers near instant access to numerous metrics at once by creating a dashboard with multiple relevant panels, rather than having to run a handful of separate reports and viewing them individually.
  • Very quick to create, deploy, and modify content - we were up and running with a usable product in a matter of months from the time we first got our hands on the Logi development tool.
  • Loads of built in capabilities - the number of modifiable elements is nearly endless, and with some expertise in javascript and html it truly can do just about anything.
  • Easy to embed and integrate - using custom fonts/css has made the application built entirely with Logi Analytics look like our own native product.
  • Slight disconnect between professional services and support - support often tells us something is not possible, professional services makes the impossible possible, but then support is unable to offer troubleshooting and advice due to the changes made.
  • Allow for easier integration with advanced charts i.e. maps, D3, etc.
  • More theme options - the Theme Editor is great but could be expanded to offer additional styling without needing as much css expertise.
Great tool for delivering interactive on screen reports and dashboards. Not the best tool for large pdf exports and 8.5 x 11 printed reports.

Easy to use dashboards

We use Logi Analytics to produce the reporting dashboard portion of our construction ERP application. We have created hundreds of reports for users of our software. These are real-time reports that allow users to dig into detail on everything from payroll, invoicing and AR/AP to project management and field information.
  • Graphs
  • Exporting to Excel/PDF
  • Analytic Grids
  • Customizability
  • Complexity - there is a lot of functionality available within Logi. It can be confusing to know what to use and when to get the best performance.
  • Documentation - it is sometimes hard to find the detailed documentation we need for how to use some of the functionality.
Logi Analytics is particularly useful for fairly quickly creating dashboards where employees can see metrics and exception cases that need to be worked on. The analytic grids provide a lot of functionality for users who need to slice and dice the data in several different ways and lets them take control of this process instead of having to rely on a report writer.

Fast development and deployment. Developers of other BI tools are always impressed when they see how quickly I can develop and deploy reports, a simple one takes 30 minutes from start to being embedded online. Any updated or new reports, templates, CSS, anything, is simply a matter of drag and drop using a cross-platform FTP application such as Filezilla. All this without redeploying the application.

Embeddable data. I focus on mainframe performance, develop complex reports, and publish them as web pages that just require emailing the URL. Reports that previously may have taken several create by screening scraping data are now available online and pushed into Excel with just a few clicks of a button.

They stay in touch. Monthly meetings with my Technical Account Manager allows me to discuss any problems or ask questions about any coding I might be struggling with. The Logi team always greets me with open arms and a big smile whenever I visit their Logi office.

Number one industry Customer services and technical support. All the staff, in general, are wonderful, friendly and accommodating.

  • Embeddable
  • Pull data from multiple data sources, MySQL, Excel, etc, in the same report.
  • Publish reports by drag and drop, no need to deploy except for Application or Software updates
  • Easy to include custom SQL or JavaScript.
  • Great people
  • User Conference focuses much in a short time. Great value.
  • Analysis Grid/Charts are great to explore data and create reports, but also good design tool.
  • A short learning curve with great support, plus online labs.
  • Documentation is frequently lacking or out of date.
  • Only PanthomJS is supported for publishing charts. This is no longer developed and needs reviewing.
  • Cannot group for hours or minutes from Elements Wizard or Analysis Grid/Chart

Well suited for rapid development and embedded data.

Needs some tweaking to use on the zLinux mainframe, but it works.

Reports are being used by multiple departments across the company. The major use of Logi Analytics in our company is for rapid development of web applications. We have deployed approximately 15 to 20 deployed applications that are used by various departments throughout the company. Business problems we are addressing are eTraining and grading, digital signage, auto generated and emailed reports, data entry applications, compliance and reporting.
  • Rapid development
  • Connecting to different data sources all within the same report
  • Customer Support and response time
  • Account Management
  • User Conferences
  • Graphs
  • Data Exporting
  • Ability to incorporate java script easily
  • Field validation
  • Web Scraping
  • Gantt chart does not use date and time
  • Pulling all the data from a join table to a different database or source rather than only what needs to be joined... currently the app does the join only after the data is retrieved
  • More samples for using different elements outside the normal usage
Well suited for not only reports but rapid application development

We currently have Logi Info tightly integrated into our product offering to provide reporting for administrative users. Logi Info allows our users to see information from site traffic to drill-down to the fine details of the users and companies which are using their sites. Logi Info was a great fit for us as it allowed embedding as an OEM application and it was not a cookie-cutter reporting software. You can build your application the way you see fit using their plug-ins to provide an experience for the users that are tailored to their needs. Since this included within our product, our product is highly configurable which means the reporting needed to address that and Logi was the best suited to this job.
  • Flexibility and easy standup. Users can choose to create their own Logi application or do a "quick standup" by using design straight out of the box. Due to varied customer requirements, Logi allows the developer to address all needs.
  • Great design studio. The studio provided with Logi to create and maintain your Logi app gives a lot of detail and examples to guide you along the way. The tool even includes some additional tools for the layman to assist with deployment or wizards to help you create more complex type reports that otherwise would require more detailed technical knowledge to create. Of course, you can still do anything you want by hand if that is what you prefer!
  • Documentation. Logi's developer portal provides plenty of documentation and examples to get users going. Need to create a custom template that builds from a table rather than being hard-coded? Search the documentation and you will find examples to piece together to form your solution!
  • Logi Studio is currently only available on Windows. I understand the backend is ASP.net but it would be nice to have more flexibility in this given their software can also be java-based (we run their software on a Linux server using java).
  • Logi Info keeps all files as XML, which is fine and actually helps in terms of scripting report creation. The issue is that the majority of settings can only live on a server instead of a database. They do allow reports to now live in a database, but other aspects (such as users saving bookmarks and reports) cannot be and are all saved directly on the server.
Logi is well suited for the purpose we used it, integrated into a product offering or for use by larger companies as an internal reporting tool. However, for a small internal IT group or a small site Logi may require too much ramp up time since it can require more technical know-how at times to implement some features. Most reporting tools require you to setup their "server" and once that is setup the user gets to work building reports. Logi requires you to build an app using their tools and then to deploy that app - requiring a more technical developer to complete this effort instead of just a business analyst (which may be the case for some groups). Due to this factor, it has been difficult to ramp up new developers on the system.

  • Adaptive to multiple data sources
  • Ease of use for developers and end users
  • Excellent support and customer service

Logi is used as a dashboard for all clients, as well as, charts, left nav reports and for internal use.
  • Charts are detailed and easy to create on the client side
  • Reports are interactive and easily embedded into our site
  • Also, a nice tool to use for internal purposes
  • Export to PDF takes too long

We utilize Logi Analytics to provide real-time reports to our users for everything from labor to inventory.
  • Logi Info is a great tool for creating visualizations quickly. This allows our team to provide information back to the requestor without investing a lot of time and effort
  • The tool is also highly customizable so when the request is something more specific we can provide exactly what the user wants.
  • Logi can help the view into your data but you are going to need to know your data.
  • The power of the tool comes at a complexity cost. Especially when later changes are made. Logi has made strides in this with tools like Data Services but making sure you update all data column references can be problematic. I'd like to see better tools in the IDE to manage orphaned settings/options.
Logi allows our executives to see our Cash Position in real time. Transactions made against our ERP are visible immediately.

[It's] Used to create a commercial reporting add-on service to the marketplace.
  • Flexibility in access to various types of data and user interface.
  • Built-in troubleshooting tools to diagnose defects and speed development.
  • Application is delivered in "text-only" format, which makes it easier to deploy, install and manage.
  • Built-in "obfuscation" allows you to protect your intellectual property.
  • Always looking for more capabilities for "shared code", including snippets of SQL code.
Great as a way to add "reporting capability" to an existing transactional software product.

we are a reseller of Logi Info. We use it to display graphs, analysis grids, and offer ad-hoc reporting via Logi. Logi Info allows us to visually display complex data to the end user so they can make business decisions in a meaningful way. This has been much more successful than the long, stale reports that the insurance industry has relied upon since the 1960's.
  • the graphics are surprisingly fast.
  • multiple data sources are supported, you can use stored procedures, straight SQL, views, etc.
  • Logi is fast to bring out new features, and when they have a rare bug, they are quick to fix it.
  • there's occasionally weird issues like a Boolean value being set to true, but its false value is just blank, not false. this can make writing SQL more challenging.
  • there's old generation graphics, and new. New is nice, but some of the old generation features didn't make it to the new graphics, such as tilting a pie graph on it's access.
Logi is great for visuals, but the Information Analyzer doesn't replace a true report writer. You can export to Excel from it, but that's very slow. If you are looking for a WYSIWG kind of report, Logi doesn't offer any kind of solution, but if you are ok with grid based data, then Info Analyzer is ok.

We are currently preparing to roll out Logi to our hospital customer base. We are currently creating 25-50 initial panels that will give our customers an unprecedented look at the financial status of their facility. It will be provided almost instantly instead of the normal 2-4 hours of file generation, sort/filter etc. We expect that within 2 years it will also be fully integrated into our own in-house software.
  • Clear/Concise view of data. Easily intuitive, amazing drill down capability, fully user configurable panels and dashboards.
  • Self-Service is such a powerful tool for facilities that want to create/design their own reports/dashboards, it's instantly recognized as being very powerful and agile.
  • Logi software makes the designer realize that they should think outside the box and not stick with "it's how we have always done it limitation". It allows you to be very creative.
  • Online help is very helpful and very all encompassing, but it could be done more in almost a layman's perspective.
  • More detail and explanation on the Request tokens.
  • It has so many options and features that it can be overwhelming. I know, this isn't really a problem.
Well Suited - It's very easy for a non-developer to make clear/easily understood important data displays
Great options for displaying data, UI provides great assistance helping you determine what chart, graph etc., to utilize for peak output.
Saves tons of developer hours by allowing non-developers to be able to create and design things.

Less Suited - It's not a big fan of displaying 1000 page PDFs but with adequate setup and drill downs, you can turn that huge PDF into 2 pages of what you actually need.

We use Logi as an OEM as a common component amongst our portfolio of corporate, server-based solutions. It is the corporate standard reporting solution we have in 2 different business lines, soon to be a 3rd.
  • Simple tool set to create new reports
  • Quick uptime for new users - minimal training
  • Clean data modeling solution which produces nice reports
  • None I can think of, it works, and is easy
Not about scenarios, the main challenge might be that there are a lot of analytics solutions out there but for my efforts and due diligence performed, it works very well and is a good price : value ratio

Logi Info was purchased primarily to create an in-house, staff-facing tool for consolidating and reporting on data across our disparate systems. We have developers creating content in Logi Info across all of our departments including Marketing, Client Support, and Corporate Technology. The reports are chiefly tabular data which is aggregated from different sources and presented via an internal web server running Logi Info. We are beginning to use dashboarding features in order to present different users with content tailored to their business case/use case.
  • The ability to easily integrate data across multiple data platforms
  • The product is easy to implement and learn
  • The elemental design allows for recycling of concepts and features across various reports and output
  • The security was easy to implement into our existing environment
  • The number of options available for data manipulation and presentation, including Scheduling and Caching data, makes it easy to solve any problem or create content for any request
  • Logi's Support Portal staff are absolutely top notch. They are responsive and knowledgeable. Due to the elemental design (see above), it is easy to communicate concepts to and from Logi Support via code samples and/or sample applications. The sample applications which we have received from Logi Support have formed some of the core concepts of our Logi Developer training!
  • It is not always intuitive to incorporate JavaScript into Logi Info. The tools are all available, but the process requires multiple resource in translating between Logi and JavaScript.
  • The toolbox is too vast for Logi to provide a 'quick implementation' or 'quick start guide'. There are so many tools that Logi expects the client to determine which fit their use case. There are purchasable 'Professional Services' options for implementation, but without these, the toolset is almost too big.
The pricing of Logi (per server core) is highly attractive for internal-facing use as we can control/predict how many visits we will get to our internal Logi webserver. The fact that the only license required is on the server means that all of our staff can use Logi Info-presented content without restrictions. The option of OEM licensing is also attractive and presents many future options, but will require much more licensing as the webserver will require more cores to handle the level of traffic demanded by OEM usage.

We use Logi Info for our dashboarding. Employees can now see exactly where they stand on their goals at all times, prior to Logi they were having to look multiple places for reports and compiling that by themselves. Now it is done for them which allows them to focus on production rather than tracking. We also use it for presentation in some of our board reports.
  • Logi Info is very, very customizable
  • Logi has done a great job of easily integrating multiple data sources
  • Logi Info presents data that is easily consumable and has flexibility of charts in multiple different forms
  • The scheduling of reports is very difficult. Definitely something that shouldn't be as close to as hard as they make it.
  • They have improved in this aspect, but their is still room for growth. Sometimes it is hard to add something after the initial wizard run. ie a summary row is a time consuming process if you add it later outside of the wizard.
  • The flexibility and automation on drill downs could use a little work.
Logi is very good if you are looking to build custom reports, and allows you to make custom designs. I feel that Logi info is a very powerful tool, but it does take a decent amount of time and skill to get everything up and running the way it should. There is definitely some training needed if you are looking to get the most out of Logi.

Incentivized
Unfortunately, we are in the process of transitioning all of our reporting from LogiXML to Tableau.
We found the ramp up time frame was too long and self service abiltiy of Logi didn't meet our needs
  • Customer Acquisitions
  • Website Traffic reporting
  • Overly complex
for the technical population it's fine however we needed a product that our less technical users could easily self serve

Logi Analytics is being used as a dashboarding tool to provide both business and IT departments with quick and effective visualizations of their data sets. This includes both business and system KPIs.
  • Wide array of ways to gather data into the tool
  • Extremely flexible components that are also easy to use for beginners
  • Great support from the company on getting the tool to adhere to your needs
  • Able to run on either Windows or Linux systems
  • Detailed and highly available documentation within the tool on how to use every piece of functionality
  • Low amount of user forums
  • Resulting application fileset is heavy
The tool is best suited for dashboarding and website plugin designs. The tool is less proficient at web reporting. Knowledge of XML, javascript, and web development is beneficial in learning the tool.
