LogicMonitor is one of the main monitoring tools used to monitor resource effectively. <br>LogicMonitor takes an agentless approach which cuts down on setup time and customer resources. LogicMonitor has helped overcome outdated monitoring solutions and as it is a SaaS approach thew updates and Maintenace is handles by LogicMonitor themselves saving on infrastructure costs to the business.

Likelihood to Recommend
LogicMonitor is very useful for the typical customer who isn't too mithered about where the data is stored, this makes security concerned customers harder to deploy as data not hosted locally can be an issue.

The way some of the settings work can cause annoyance such as the way things get updated.

LogicMonitor is really good at monitoring there is a vast wide range of supported device types and if that isn't enough you can make your own and even share them with the community/.

LogicMonitor usability and user friendly dashboards helps us to tackle almost all monitoring points.

Yes, many teams in my organization use it for the performance management of the application servers.

LogicMonitor alerting of system failure or high usage is very help to prevent major P1 Incidents beforehand and does saving SLA of high availability of the application websites.

In my company LogicMonitor is used for almost all Infra monitoring (servers, switches, routers, site to site vpns). Incident management timelines.

If you are looking for Infrastructure monitoring tools, I would suggest LogicMonitor for it will be the best solution.

Pros
  • Every minor to minor data point monitoring make it essential for a EPM product high availability.
  • The cross datacenter spread over different location's network connectivity using site to site VPN monitoring.
  • Incredible on sending quickest alerts via mail, LM Dashboard, Pagerduty (Configured 3rd party paging tool).
  • Graphical representation showing every second monitoring.
  • Very easy on configuring new devices and servers.
  • Easy implementation.
Cons
  • Email details should be made more new user friendly.
  • And the logs management is very detailed which we liked but need a lite version too for checking just what happened in a single liner.
  • And there should be options to send email only for particular alerts (I am not sure if it already there, but I didn't find it).
Likelihood to Recommend
  1. Incident Management: Irrespective of P1 or P2, it will help you out on device monitoring. As soon as any server which was down and got rebooted, it will start monitoring the data from next second.
  2. Easy to configure new devices and all together a new implementation too.
  3. User friendly Alerts dashboard.
  4. Fast in reporting on alerts.

Fantastic monitoring platform, simple to implement and yields remarkable outcomes with low costs.

Both the on premises and cloud monitoring system has been converted to LogicMonitor and thanks to that we can analyze and collect more specific data without worrying about our infrastructure cost. Also installation was easier than we imagined as the documentation to set it up was extensive and both customer service and LogicMonitor community was always available and friendly enough which accelerated the whole process. There is no other monitoring system that matches its low cost and ease of use.
Pros
  • No need to worry about the overall cost as it costs much lesser than it's competitors.
  • Has friendly community and support so whenever there is an issue, it quickly gets solved and the extensive documentation further makes the process easy to follow.
  • The tool's overall performance is great and the UI is updated frequently to fix bugs or improved user experience.
Cons
  • Further improvement is required in their mobile app. Since it has a lot of bugs which causes it to crash and start glitching.
  • Even though it can identify if there is an issue and report it, it can't automatically fix it or give the solution for the issue. So if there was such a feature, it would save us a lot of time.
  • That was all that the it needs to improve on and there are no other significant problem or improvement that it needs.
Likelihood to Recommend
The ease with which LogicMonitor lowered administrative and infrastructure costs earned it great recognition. It lets us monitor our entire network and see what's happening with a very intuitive graphical user interface which is frequently updated to further increase it's performance. And among all of it's competitors LogicMonitor is the best and cost effective solution to use for your company.

we use it to monitor our corp IT network as well as our venue technology stack. In our venues, it is important to be able to see problems as soon as they arise and this tool allows us to act quickly in conjunction with our other IT Ops tools to remediate the problem.

  • being user friendly
Cons
  • making figuring out how to tune alerts easier
Likelihood to Recommend
It is great for IT network operations but our DevOps team and their container-based infrastructure fid it to be too expensive for their needs when they can simply use open source tools like Grafana to get the job done.

We use LogicMonitor for all of our infrastructure monitoring. We have two data centers on the east coast, and two satellite offices. All sites and services are monitored by LogicMonitor.
Pros
  • Text notifications for alerts.
  • Monitoring of cloud services like Office 365.
Cons
  • I don't have anything at this time that should be done differently, we are happy with the product.
Likelihood to Recommend
LogicMonitor is the best monitoring platform I've used. We transitioned from WhatsUpGold and SolarWinds. We are very happy with the LogicMonitor platform.
