Used to remotely control and troubleshoot user computers.
  • UAC for admin sign-in during software installs/un-installs and/or other admin actions
  • Connecting to computers on the internal network
  • File transfers
  • clipboard for copy paste, this doesn't work for me most of the time
Sending a link or code to remote users to start a support session works well. Using it to connect to online computers on the internal network is good.

Trying to reach computers not on the network without sending out a link or code doesn't work at all.

  • Allows us to remotely manage company computers at remote offices in US, Europe, Asia without local IT support personnel.
Goverlan offered more tools but only works on internal network computers. It doesn't work on computers only on the Internet like Rescue.

IT and app support.
  • Remote support of PCs on Internet only
  • Connecting to internal network PCs
  • File transfer
  • Support for users in far areas with sparse Internet, such as India
  • Support for any new remote offices without local IT support personnel.
Overall this has been the best remote support tool we've tried, GoverLAN, WebEx, Zoom, Teams, etc. doesn't have same feature set or general functionality.

We use LogMeIn Rescue to connect to certain clients' computers when other programs sometimes fail to install or connect. We start with the free alternatives - "Remote Utilities" & "Anydesk" if they fail to work, we switch over to LogMeIn Rescue.
  • LogMeIn Rescue is great at connecting through hardware and software firewalls
  • LogMeIn Rescue has great support for multiple platforms
  • LogMeIn Rescue gives a nice smooth frame rate of the remote system
  • LogMeIn Rescue's subscription price is VERY expensive (currently $108/mo + $37/mo for mobile access)
LogMeIn Rescue is great if you have a High Volume of remote systems you need to connect to. Otherwise, it is not worth the monthly subscription price of over $100/mo, especially with free options such as "Remote Utilities" & "Anydesk," which also work with a variety of platforms.

  • Return on investment has not been great - mainly due to the monthly subscription cost
  • LogMeIn Rescue does work in scenarios where alternative products fail
LogMeIn Rescue's best quality is its ability to connect to platforms and through network firewalls when the others fail. When we NEED to connect to a system that the alternative programs fail to do, LogMeIn Rescue usually works.

Remote Support for multiple clients' computers and servers.

IT Techs are familiar with firewalls, ports, and good phone skills.
  • Remote support
  • Long distance server troubleshooting
  • Easy access to rural client's computers
  • When alternative programs fail to make a connection past corporate firewalls, LogMeIn Rescue usually succeeds.
  • We could use LogMeIn Rescue in house to connect to other workstations without having to walk over to them.
The subscription price is just WAY too much for such little extra connection abilities compared to free alternatives.
No
  • Product Usability
LogMeIn Rescue routinely makes successful connections to remote computers through corporate firewalls where other programs fail.
I wouldn't change anything.

Change management was minimal
Keep an eye out how much you actually use the product over the free alternatives, and make sure your ROI is satisfactory with such a high subscription price.
  • Logging in to our LogMeIn Rescue account on multiple systems
Make sure you have your LogMeIn Rescue account sign-in details handy when installing on multiple support systems.
When LogMeIn Rescue doesn't work right, it is hard to find answers - their knowledge base is lacking.
No, I did not purchase premium support as the base monthly subscription price is already over $100/mo.
No
No, I can not.
The interface is simple and well laid out, but it lacks easy access to frequent options and functions.
  • Tutoring people on how to do things on their computers via screen sharing
  • Successfully connecting to almost all computers through tough corporate firewall solutions
  • Accessing screen display options requires way to many clicks
Yes, but I don't use it

Out IT department uses LogMeIn. Our company has 7000 end users most of which are remote users. We use it many times a day assisting people working across the U.S. in many different environments. I have used several remote tools, but LogMeIn is the one I prefer.
  • The ability to work on a machine remotely and be able to restart the computer and reconnect without having to go through the connection process again.
  • The ability to copy files to or from a computer.
  • Being able to watch the end user and evaluate if something they are doing or are not doing could be causing the issue.
  • I would like the ability to be able to lock the end user's keyboard while on the computer. Many times they hit keys or move their mouse which can delay my being able to give the best support possible.
It is very easy to use not just for the technician but for the end user too.

  • Very easy to use and a quick way to get our end users working again.

not a lot of support needed
  • remote support for installing software packages
  • remote support for troubleshooting numerous issues
  • training remote users in numerous systems
  • anyway I've used it doesn't appear unexpected or innovative to me
  • I am trying to get my organization to allow us to use it with mobile devices
I don't have a lot of control over this in my organization, but myself and my coworkers have and continue to give management feedback on why we need this to continue to do our jobs effectively

  • The entire system is very easy to use both for the technician and the end user
  • I haven't seen anything difficult or cumbersome about Logmein Rescue
Yes, but I don't use it
I just never have an issue using it...unless of course the end user doesn't have a network connection(obviously)

LogMeIn Rescue is used to support remote employees with IT related issues. The IT department is the sole user of the program but it's used to support employees in all departments. LogMeIn Rescue allows us to be very flexible with our support options and support people without worrying about geographic restrictions or a specific OS.
  • The software is very easy to use. Sending someone a LogMeIn Rescue link to provide support is very straightforward.
  • The software compatibility is great. It supports a wide array of browsers and operating systems allowing us to support more people.
  • The software uses a low amount of bandwidth so it's great for people with mobile data or slow connections.
  • The software could use a UI refresh. Some of the buttons and menus seem a bit outdated, but this doesn't impact the usability.
  • I wish there were more automated actions that could be performed by the software. There could be built in tools for system restore, boot issues, etc.
There are a great deal of remote connectivity options, including some that are free. I think LogMeIn Rescue comes off as a professional product that is well maintained. I can count on this program efficiently support employees throughout the company. I think this product is primarily geared towards supporting employees with non-company equipment. For example, we use LogMeIn Pro on all of our work computers so I rarely use LogMeIn Rescue for any of these devices (as I can initiate a remote connection through LogMeIn Pro without user input.)
  • LogMeIn Rescue gives us great flexibility with our support objectives. We don't use it as our primary remote access tool but knowing that we have it at our disposal is very important for users without LogMeIn Pro installed.
  • Before using LogMeIn Rescue, support was done over the phone for remote employees and it's lead to a much faster response/fix time for issues.
  • I believe LogMeIn Rescue has improved our customer service and given much more flexibility in our support options as well.
  • LogMeIn Rescue serves a specific purpose very well. That is, supporting people remotely when you don't manage their hardware.
The only previous product we used before LogMeIn Rescue for this type of support situation, we would use Remote Desktop through Windows. This option is severely limited and didn't allow us to support remote users or those with different operating systems. LogMeIn Rescue auto configures the setup and makes connections quick and easy.
1
LogMeIn Rescue is a very powerful tool for a specific purpose. I don't use LogMeIn Rescue nearly as much as I use LogMeIn Pro/Central but as stated previously, it gives us much more flexibility with our support. I believe LogMeIn Rescue is a powerful tool for supporting non-company assets and it shines at it's job. For managing or supporting internal resources, LogMeIn Pro is a much faster/easier tool.
