The only application similar to Lucidchart that I have used is Microsoft Excel. Despite their connection, Excel is not as compatible with Microsoft Teams (formatting errors often arise when trying to edit Excel documents out of Teams). I think that Lucidchart and Excel are very similar in functionality; they're both simple. However, Lucidchart is the best option for process mapping due to the automatic options it provides with its shapes and arrows.

In my opinion, I would say that Lucidchart provides a better experience and is easy to navigate than the product listed above. Lucidchart makes moving objects around easier and templates are easier to use in Lucidchart. The only thing I would say iObey does better is their Jira Integration which Lucidchart is putting a lot resources on making better for their end users.

There has never been another tool that has came close for me. None of these tools had the options, ease of use, and performance that Lucidchart has continuously had for me. I have found the other tools to be clunky, unresponsive, and lacking the variety and options that Lucidchart has always had for me.

Lucidchart is the best price for the functionality you are getting. Utilizing this across our entire organization, it was amazing to have an easy to use tool so that all end users regardless of technical strengths and knowledge could jump into the platform and be effective in their work.

If it's solo work, I prefer Lucidchart over all its competitors. For larger group collaboration, Lucidspark or Miro is much much preferred than Lucidchart. Figma is ok for some basic use but can't handle complex stuffs. MURAL and Visio are just terrible products to use in general. So Lucidchart is one of my top three for sure.

I think Lucidchart is just better for diagramming complex engineer scenarios. For software engineers, it's really hard to beat. I do like these other tools I have listed, but my favorite is still Lucidchart because it has so many high-quality features that really matter for engineering.

I have used Microsoft Visio for over 20 years and have found it always provided the functionality that I've needed. In the case where I began using Lucidchart, I started working at a company where Lucid was used instead of Visio. For me, the key was having an app that I could quickly move to from Visio, that allows me to learn quickly. Lucidchart provided for all the functionality I needed without having to adapt my style to it.

Lucidchart is great for creating workflows for existing products or when designing new systems and pipelines. It can be used in a wide range of applications, but we mainly use it for automated test coverage flows of the product, which can't be envisioned without a chart that outlines all the parts of the application, That way, it's easier for us to not miss a use case or test case and increase coverage of the application.
