We used Constant Contact for about a year and we liked it, but Mailchimp was simply easier for us to use, and we liked the formatting options for email campaigns and the templates available in Mailchimp. We also have found Mailchimp to be a little cheaper for us to use on a monthly basis.

Mailchimp does a pretty good job, but it does lack some features of more expensive software on the market. Mailchimp is perfect for a beginner, but when you need more automation and more tools to make your marketing amazing, you will need to upgrade to a higher-priced email service provider.

  • I used to think I preferred ReachMail over MailChimp. I still prefer ReachMail for contact quantities in their free version, but Mailchimp's drag-and-drop composing editor is easier to use (ReachMail uses a table format with columns and rows, which can be harder to navigate). The visual results for both, though, are quite attractive. Two of my clients prefers Mailchimp over ReachMail for drag-and-drop; another client prefers ReachMail because of audience capacity for its free version.
  • Network for Good and Bloomerang are primarily fundraising SaaS systems, but both have the capacity for mass marketing to donor bases. They have good formatting tools, but not as robust as Mailchimp, and they aren't meant so much to reach new audiences as they are for donor-related campaigns for previous contributors.

As I mentioned earlier, Mailchimp is a great entry point for small businesses that are looking to target their customer and contact list with segmented email marketing. It is easy enough to use and the price is usually right for the return that is possible when used correctly. It is far better than Pardot, but, once you need more a more robust, enterprise email marketing tool, I tend to recommend HubSpot Marketing Hub.

We selected MailChimp because of its low price point and because we did not need the extensive features of a platform like Hubspot. Similarly, Delivra offers certain capabilities which we did not need. Mailchimp was also much more user-friendly than Hubspot and did not require the same level of organizational integration.

One thing I really like about Mailchimp is their easy to use email templates. I did find that feature to be better than some of the competition and it made it a breeze to set up nice looking emails in no time. Their affordable pricing is also a huge plus.

Mailchimp is better for email marketing as it has more templates, for flexibility, etc. Cheetah suite and CleverTap have all channels except email too hence they don't have such deep level of features and templates for email. Thus Mailchimp is the tool we preferred for our external email retargeting campaigns

We decided to leave Constant Contact and switch to Mailchimp. Mailchimp offers a more dynamic email designer with the ability to be much more creative in how the email looks and feels. We're able to do this all right inside the online app or on the mobile app, instead of using third-party software or coding to customize emails to match our branding, etc. The user interface is also much easier and more user-friendly on Mailchimp.

I think these are almost two different tools. Not that either does one thing better than another. Constant Contact gives us "different" tools that we are using in a different way. Hard to compare the two. The only thing I can really call out is the simplicity in Mailchimp. Things are easier to learn therefore you move quickly. Time is money and the more you save, the better.

Mailchimp is easier to use and fits our current needs better than JangoMail. When we used JangoMail, it had great data filtering and management aspects but was a little less polished than Mailchimp, especially in the development process of an email piece. Even though Mailchimp could use some layout changes, JangoMail seems dated.

We use ActiveCampaign and AWeber as well. I'd say all three are great software. Because we are a marketing agency we have clients who may already be using certain software and in those cases, we work with what they have set up already. Otherwise, we'd look at it on a case-to-case basis and recommend them one of those three. Most of our customers today are either using Mailchimp or ActiveCampaign.

I don't think that Mailchimp can claim to be the big innovator in the space anymore as others have had to be scrappier recently, but Mailchimp definitely has the most robust suite of tools and functionality.

We've only used PlanningCenterOnline for their database management, and their emails aren't quite as visually interesting. Mailchimp allows beautiful designs, custom creations, and easy access to videos and other content. When we design our emails, Mailchimp makes it way easier and much more pleasing to the eye than your normal email (Gmail, Outlook, etc.) or even databases that can mass email people.

Our company actually uses a couple different pieces of email marketing software, as different verticals are different sizes and have different needs. Mailchimp is used by one of our smaller divisions since we don't need anything too fancy and want to keep overhead costs low. Overall, we were able to set it up quickly and get marketing, so it won for this particular product group.

I've chosen to continue working with Mailchimp because of the Essential paid plan features and especially the feature of pausing paying for a period when you don't have content to share.
Essential plan is fine when you for hundreds of emails but the free plan is not appropriate for you, for example when you don't want in your emails to have Mailchimp logo.
Mailchimp is cheaper on monthly plans then Sendinblue.

Most clients gravitate twoards this option becauase of the free version. There is also ease of use with a nice clean what you see is what you get/drag and drop editor to build the newsletters. People also love the ability to send out their blog postings automatically instead of having to do that manually every time.

Mailchimp provided the best balance between price, feature set, and simplicity of use for our team. The excellent support team and help desk made on-boarding new staff quick and easy. We found mailchimp to have a more powerful feature set than Constant Contact while being more affordable than Hubspot.

For my work I test try and research multiple tools, and then we see if the tool is a right fit for a company.
So for entry level I would highly suggest Mailchimp, for the functionality pricing and options it's good for smaller companies, websites and shops. If you grow a big list or want more complex functions. If you want more automations, and data in your mails then go for something more directed to that like ActiveCampaign.

Mailchimp has the easiest User Interface out of all of the options out there and tends to be one of the more universally known email sending options that clients have heard of or use. Especially among smaller organizations, Mailchimp tends to dominate the space compared to some of the other options out there.

Mailchimp is a great introductory email marketing system that offers more than just email marketing. If you're looking for more of a well rounded system that you can use for your website, basic ads, and email marketing, Mailchimp is a great platform that offers a little of everything. Great for new businesses or businesses with a small email list. Not the most advanced for automation and workflow-there are more powerful programs out there like Infusionsoft & ActiveCampaign.

Mailchimp is the best software in comparison to all other software because it is [a more] user friendly and cost saving software. Mailchimp offers various customizable options and also offers well-designed templates to create your own content by just [using the] drag and drop option. You can easily create EDM's, newsletters, preference emails, and automations in seconds.
