Mailchimp is well-suited for any organization that needs to send out mass email campaigns. There are a few technical skills that are required to get an email looking clean and professional, but once you have some templates made, it makes it easy to send great-looking emails to your contact lists. If someone is not tech-savvy, they should be prepared for a steep learning curve and to find quality YouTube videos to help. I say this because I tried to help my church's secretary learn how to use our Mailchimp account once. Let's just say, I'm still the main guy sending the church's emails.

We built a site for launching a new spa retail location and it helped building a mailing list. We integrated it with Privy pop-up tool and included in all promos, flyers, etc. to get signups. Also for another client we had a contest where signing up enters them into a draw to win a prize and that worked even better.

It works very well when sending out newsletters and to be able to tweak the newsletter for different audiences.
As a small company it can be difficult to know whether we are getting value for money as we do not send mailing on a frequent basis. Maybe there could be a pricing model based on usage?

For generally good all round marketing campaigns which allows to target based on various segmentation rules and to run bespoke campaigns based on ever changing needs. It also is very useful to communicate with existing users to inform. Them of product changes and updates and potentially upgrade them and increase your ARR

It is well suited for simple to moderately detailed newsletters, but less appropriate for photo-heavy newsletters. Good for basic to moderate newsletters, harder to add too much customization so we often use a third-party editing site to create our needed graphics/info graphs and then add them into MailChimp to send out to the audience.

Even with it's negative sides, Mailchimp is still a solid piece of software that you should use for your marketing needs.
Especially the free version gives you a good overview of the possibilities of everything that you might need to get started with online marketing.
Once everything is setup properly, you will not be disappointed and will be using this great piece of software will guide you for years in your online work.

I recommend Mailchimp for most internet marketing campaigns. Mailchimp provides a free trial of their paid tiers, which allows you to find the right amount of features for the size of your business or audience. If you are mainly not sending email blasts, Mailchimp still has some features that can be useful to you, such as website customization, marketing design tools and advertising campaign management tools, but I would suggest a different creative program if you are not planning to take advantage of Mailchimp's email capabilities. Additionally, your budget may not allow you to pay for Mailchimp's top tier features, and you may be better served seeking alternative ways to get what you specifically need for your email blasts. Finally, Mailchimp may not be for you if you are already connected to a different email-generating service through your publishing platform or something similar. No need to buy a separate service if your website host provides what you need already.

Mailchimp works super well for small to mid size businesses and organizations. It struggles with larger data sets and email lists. It works so well when starting out with email marketing and making fast improvements. But as your email database grows the costs for managing and send to your lists grows faster.

Mailchimp is a versatile and user-friendly email marketing platform that caters to a wide range of businesses and marketing needs. It excels in scenarios where simplicity, ease of use, and affordability are priorities. However, for organizations with highly specialized or advanced requirements, or those operating in regulated industries, it may be necessary to explore more specialized marketing tools or enterprise-level solutions.

If a client is hoping to write and put together visually engaging or complex newsletters Mailchimp is a great product. Mailchimp is a great starter product for teams interested in engagement metrics but not nercessarily to get deeply in the weeds with those metrics. I was the primary metric monitor in my company but, because we're a teeny team of 4, I was unable to dig in too deeply to those stats. Mailchimp was great for me to get simple and comprehensible statistics to use.We used Mailchimp for email campaigns. Our organization sent out two newsletters per week as well as one more in-depth newsletter that went out monthly. We used Mailchimp to type, and design these mailings before we sent them and then to track viewer metrics after the fact. Looking at viewer metrics helped us find areas of improvement and opportunities to narrow our audience.

For businesses on websites, focused only on Email Marketing Experiences and collecting data from that. Not very useful for mobile app companies given that you will end up using more tools. I have used this for the e-commerce brands that use Shopify, Woocommerce and even Magento. I struggled using this for app-based brands.

Mailchimp was great for us when we were a small business, their platform is easy to use, with a super-friendly drag-and-drop feature for when creating emails. Their support team is always helpful when you need them. We have used Mailchimp to its full potential.

But now we are outgrowing Mailchimp, just towards the automation side of things where we have limited merge tags.

If you are a small business or starting up then this platform is the right one to use, Mailchimp is a wonderful package that I would recommend to anyone.

I think it works really well for a small business starting out and can have a place to hold data securely. It has great options for confirmed-opt in processes as well. I really like the automation although I think this can be quite complicated so with any version it needs some training. Although we were using the free version due to the amount of contacts I think we have a paid version now.

For sporadic email campaigns for certain segments of our customer base this was perfect as the pricing was based on the contacts you upload (Standard Licence). However for larger more persistent databases of contacts this would likely end up a lot more pricier and more of an ongoing comittment.

Mailchimp's deliverability is really good and the analytics you get are really useful. The price point makes it hard to choose Mailchimp over some of the other email marketing platforms which seem to have better design customization options. I never had an issue integrating Mailchimp with any of the programs or platforms we use as a business. I would like to have SMS options as most others do now. As a publication business, we are very design-led. Mailchimp has very limited fonts to use compared to others.

I would like to see a more guided option available to walk users through certain steps for example customer journeys. I also, find that it would be very helpful to be able to select more than one option for a tag when creating a mailing list. For example, I have volunteers in multiple cities, but like to have them tagged by city versus just volunteers. Overall I am very happy with Mailchimp

For us Mailchimp works really well for us because we have a very simple model. We send a weekly newsletters with a relatively small audience. We don't want to pay for a ton of features we won't use. But we want a solution that just works and is reliable. Mailchimp does that very well. Our plan will scale our plan up as our audience grows or shrinks. It doesn't have hard quotas that force us to pay more than we need to. Mailchimp seems to offer a lot more services like SMS support that we probably won't need, but it is nice to see the company continues to innovate. If we ever need these additional services, it is good to know they will be available.

Mailchimp was very well suited for our DTC brand that ran email campaigns based on cart abandonment. With the automation Mailchimp provided, we were able to target users based on if they removed a product or left the page and sent a follow up email with some type of promotional offer, which lead us to getting more purchases & an increase in revenue.

If you are in charge of email deployment and have little to no email design experience, Mailchimp makes it so much easier to create beautiful emails with no skill. For people like me who are skilled at designing emails, Mailchimp has a wonderful amount of options and tools to help you automate the process to make set up a lot quicker. The way they allow you to create segments and split up your audience creates an opportunity for highly targeted emails with little to no additional setup or work.

Works great for getting information to large groups with options for different audiences to send different information to individual groups.
The mail landing in the spam folder can be frustrating. The statistics provided on how many customers open the email is useful, as well as the customers email that unsubscribe.
