We use Malwarebytes Endpoint Protection on end user machines that are used by users who have broader permissions in business applications and also used by users who are more susceptible to clicking on malicious links, malicious attachments, etc. We only use it on a select number of end user machines.

- Malwarebytes blocks access to malicious URL's, but the access isn't always user generated. It would be nice if Malwarebytes could help identify the source better.
- Once in a great while, an endpoint that uses Malwarebytes disconnects from the Nebula console. This has only happened twice in the last 4 years, but it is inconvenient and not realized until a manual audit is done.
- It would be nice if Malwarebytes would integrate with our RMM solution.

- I believe it has a positive impact. I do not have ROI numbers, but Malwarebytes has provided better protection over our other antimalware solution, which means less labor time has been needed to address the infections that were occurring.
- Also, Malwarebytes has detected and stopped more attempts to reach malicious URL's than our other solution, which we did not know was happening before.

I think Malwarebytes Endpoint Protection is hands down better from any point of view other than price. Malwarebytes is a little bit more costly than Webroot. However, Malwarebytes detects more threats, protects against more malicious URL's, allows more in customization of policies, has better administration GUI, and has better means of implementation.

We primarily use Malwarebytes on end user machines where we believe the end users are more susceptible or gullible on malicious emails, malicious attachments, etc. and where we know certain end users have more access to business data compared to other employees.

Given the ease of administration and implementation, a person with average tech skill can get Malwarebytes Endpoint Protection rolled out and deployed in a production environment. It is really easy to use and customize policies. A person with higher cybersecurity skill would be needed if big breach occurred, such as a large outbreak of ransomware.

Effective add-on for a Defense-in-Depth Strategy
Initially we had a lot of malware slipping through the cracks of our initial antivirus solution. After trialing Malwarebytes, we were satisfied with the results and proceeded to make the purchase. We found that Malwarebytes detects and eradicates threats that are missed by traditional antivirus solution.

In my experience, Malwarebytes doesn't compete with other endpoint protection products but it complements them for a more effective defense in depth strategy. While it is possible to run Malwarebytes as your only endpoint protection solution, I have found it best to use it in the above-mentioned manner.

Being the sole administrator of the product, I have found that security analytics skills are more important than security engineering skills when it come to the effective support of this product. Therefore, I would reccomend someone who holds a CompTIA CySA+ or Cisco CyberOps Associate certification rather than someone who holds CISSP, etc.
