I have used ManageEngine OpManager to find my organization's network-related issues, whether related to the bandwidth of the ISP or the availability of network devices. it gives me a single console to monitor to make the right decision and rectify the network issue to avoid any future downtime. I have saved lots of time and manpower thanks to this product. I received my desired report every day without any interaction, it has been a great experience using ManageEngine OpManager.
  • ISP Link monitoring
  • L2 & L3 Diagram
  • Centralized Configuration of all OEM devices via NCM
  • Highly scalable
  • A firewall can also monitor
  • Servers can also be a part of motioning via ManageEngine OpManager
  • L2 & L3 Diagram can be improved for a better view
  • Neighbor Devices discover for ease of network view
  • More Features in URL Monitoring
  • Cloud features can be more detailed
We have implemented ManageEngine OpManager in many places for different use cases. In one use case, a client had recovered his amount invested in ManageEngine OpManager via implementing ManageEngine OpManager to ISP link monitoring and sharing the report to their ISP and put penalty against non-availability of internet to their ISP and recover their cost of ManageEngine OpManager.

Network monitoring is the problem which ManageEngine OpManager has taken care. This is very good application for realtime monitoring. We appreciate the ability to automate certain troubleshooting tasks by creating workflows. It's a basic feature, but makes a big difference for us.
  • Easy to use UI
  • Low Cost of implementation
  • OpManager offers complete visibility across Network
  • Needs physical infrastructure to install the application which can be simplified using cloud.
Easy to use UI where normal engineer will handle,no special technical in-depth knowledge required.Report a problem or bug and wait for it to be resolved by another release.

Me and My Team are using ManageEngine OpManager to monitor the performance of our servers and also to detect any problems so we can make decisions faster and avoid the same problem happening again. We also generate some reports about servers' daily performance, which help us forecast servers' needs like hard disk capacity, memory, and CPUs.
  • User-friendly dashboard
  • Easy to set up and upgrade
  • Fast, responsive support
  • Sometimes, adding a server with the same credentials is a little bit tricky
  • Version updates must be done manually
  • Datacenter 3d viewer needs a more customized angle
ManageEngine OpManager doing well generate daily performance and send it to end users through email, allowing us to make reports faster and maintain accuracy. Notifications of ongoing events are delivered and shown in real time. To maximize the monitored services, the end user needs to really understand which servers using which services, but eventually after a week of intensively using ManageEngine OpManager, that should be not a problem.

We monitor our servers with ManageEngine OpManager. We check services, and disk space utilization, and make sure the RDP port is responding. When we do our monthly maintenance and restart all of the servers, a quick check-in ManageEngine OpManager verifies that everything rebooted successfully and all the processes started as expected. Saves a ton of time and keeps us from doing things manually.
  • We changed our RDP port to a non-standard port and monitor servers by that instead of a simple ping. Systems that are busted will still respond to pings.
  • The dashboard shows us any drives that are almost full. We check this when we do our monthly maintenance.
  • Monitoring Windows services and event log events and sending notifications when things don't behave as expected.
  • I genuinely don't have any negative feedback for the product.
  • I've used many competitor products and this one is my favorite.
If you have a Windows server environment and want to be notified any time your servers are misbehaving then this product does it very well and is much more affordable than the competitors. Price aside, it is easy to use and not overly bloated. It does this thing very well without being complicated.

We use ManageEngine OpManager to monitor nearly every device in our environment, including wireless access points, network switches, virtual servers, physical servers, Linux servers, windows servers, and everything in between. Across these devices, we monitor many things. We like having the ability to monitor CPU usage, RAM usage, storage across multiple drives, storage in specific directories, ping, windows services, and uptime. Some business problems the product addresses are device availability and storage alerts. It's crucial we know as soon as possible when a device is down and ManageEngine OpManager's custom alerting and notification system is great for letting the correct people know a problem exists within minutes of it happening. As for storage, ManageEngine OpManager allows us to configure alerts in a very precise way so that we know when things are starting to fill up and when things need more urgent attention.
  • Alerting/Notifying
  • Customization of Alerts
  • Clean UI
  • Threshold inactivity disabling monitors with no notification
  • The search bar sometimes breaks and doesn't show results properly
  • I'd like notifications when new builds are released
I think ManageEngine OpManager is perfect for any environment under 500 devices where you need to monitor many specific details on different types of devices. It's great for setting up notifications to notify the correct people so not everyone gets alerted. Its customization is great for tuning out noisy alerts as well.

We are using ManageEngine OpManager to monitor our servers' availability, Disk, Memory, and CPU threshold violations. We monitor disk space usage on workstations as well as Network Gear availability and high utilization. We also utilize the reporting functionality to generate and auto-email our team alerts when a threshold is crossed, or an outage of any device is detected.
  • Resources monitoring
  • A clear view of the devices being monitored
  • Easy and clean graphical user interface
  • Wide variety of reporting options
  • Alert Mechanism
  • Adding devices to existing groups and applying a group-wide parameter.
  • Email alerts can be a bit challenging depending on how email is managed within a company, sometimes adding ManageEngine OpManager to the allowed relay list for Exchange is necessary to receive any alerts
From our perspective, the utility has been a perfect fit for our needs, adding to it the simplicity of use, clear interface, reliability, flexibility, and ability to generate auto reports or email notifications. I believe the scalability of the utility makes it a great fit regardless of the company size.

One of the biggest issues that we face as an IT department is being ahead of outage issues before a site, or department is impacted. ManageEngine OpManager is used to monitor all of our core infrastructure and provides near real-time alerting for any issues that arise, providing us with peace of mind and enabling our staff to continue to be productive.
  • High visibility of the devices
  • Text message alerting integration
  • SSO capability
  • Monitoring services
  • US-based support would be appreciated
  • I don't like the fact that is Java-based due to security concerns
  • Tedious service-pack upgrades
  • Out-dated device templates
ManageEngine OpManager is a winner in device monitoring. It is especially helpful with the message alerting if one of our network devices or servers goes offline.

The performance monitoring is also a useful feature.

We use it to monitor our network & network equipment. It also provides us real time alerts based on our criteria so we know of an issue & have minimal downtime.
  • Dashboard that we can provide for the entire team.
  • Real time alerts.
  • Small footprint
  • Range of products it supports
  • Integration with other products from ManageEngine. e.g. Application manager - there is no seamless login. Downtime scheduling needs to be done on both products.
  • Vmware - There is option to monitor only physical CPUs. e.g. each node of our VMware host has 2 CPUs, which has 24 virtual CPUs. When we get high CPU alert we get 24 alerts for the same issue.
  • Banner ads - on the login screen & the product itself. Granted they're about ManageEngine but i would like the option to turn them off permanently.
It's simple to setup, easy to use. Integrated into our environment fairly well.

ManageEngine OpManager came highly recommended when we went to the market for a Network Device Monitoring Solution. Our requirements for a solution in this regard were surpassed with the product's capabilities, and the licensing cost were within the allocated budget. Deployment was straightforward and well documented, also technical support offered by the ManageEngine PitStop platform is very good and responsive. Monitoring of device availability is the main aspect of this solution we use. This gives us good visibility of device state and resource utilization. Notification profiles allow devices in error or exceeding configured thresholds to be alerted to device administrators and stakeholders. Overall experience exceeded expectations.
  • Device uptime and status is clearly visible in the dashboard
  • Notification Profiles allow us to be immediately notified when any monitored devices are in an error state or exceeding thresholds
  • Installation, configuration, and deployment of this solution are straightforward and well documented
  • Not all discovered devices can have their vendor, device, serial number, etc., details automatically populated during discovery. Manually having to enter the specific details for these devices was a little time-consuming but not really an issue.
  • Removal of decommissioned devices can be awkward if not done prior to device decommissioning.
  • OTP at login does not always work first time, usually, 2 -3 attempts are needed when logging on to the dashboard with OTP.
This solution is well-suited for monitoring Server and Networking devices. Being able to tell (and be notified) when devices are offline or are exceeding thresholds (e.g., Device Drive is exceeding threshold utilization, CPU usage high, services stopped, etc.) allows us to react to and address issues quickly. There are Device Templates for all major manufacturers and models, which makes device grouping and setup very simple. The AutoDiscovery feature, when used for device onboarding, is quite good and makes initial configuration and setup very straightforward. This solution would not be appropriate for use on standard Desktop or laptop Devices.

We utilize ManageEngine OpManager to help monitor multiple aspects of our environment including network, physical server and storage equipment, virtual machines and the applications that run within the virtual machines. OpManager allows us to centralize this monitoring and makes it much easier to troubleshoot any problems that should arise. The interface is simple to use and support for the solution from both the company and community are fantastic. We have not run into any issues with setting up custom alerts and monitors for many of our different solutions that we need to keep an eye on either. Any speed bumps we have run into when creating these custom alerts and monitors were quickly resolved by either reaching out to support or interacting with the community.
  • Ease of deployment
  • Ease of configuration
  • Ease of use
  • We have not found any negatives with what we utilize the solution for
We have had an excellent experience with ManageEngine OpManager, it was easy to demo and then move into production from there. Not having greater visibility of the applications, it was decided to change the monitoring system to OpManager with the application manager plug-in, allowing us to locate the root of the problem in order to address and resolve it. Taking advantage of the benefits, other add ons were acquired, such as NFA for which the analysis of the traffic in our network giving us great detail of the use, allowing us to improve our network platform.
  • Network Traffic details using the Netflow Analyzer
  • Granular database information thanks to APM
  • Be able to add a wide range of monitors to devices for monitoring
  • Improve the reporting module, which allows for a better cross-checking of information
  • Greater flexibility when building dashboards
  • Improve the scope of the NFA add ons, since it is integrated into the Opmanager and provides fewer options than the one installed independently
It´s great for:

- Granular monitoring of applications and network traffic
- Distributed network monitoring
- Great diversity of devices that can be added to Opmanager, allowing the use of a single tool for monitoring different device

In my experience with this program and similar tools, the scope is superior, the benefits and the integration with other tools allow us to attack situations with the shortest downtime possible.

ManageEngine OpManager is used to monitor critical servers and the services they run. We have it trigger notifications, both email, and SMS, to various members in the IT department in order to get ahead of any potential downtime that the supported users may have.
  • Monitor servers that go down.
  • Monitor critical services.
  • Email and SMS notifications.
  • User interface takes some time to get used to.
  • Setting up the login credential for various devices.
  • Removing known unused devices.
Since we mainly use OpManager as a server notification application, I can only recommend it for that feature. It does this very well. It does appear to get confused in the rare instances the internal IPs are changed or the server's name is changed, which seems to require a refresh in the notification section of the application.

We work with MSP and their end-clientele across Australia, and understand their unique requirement to gain visibility on Hybrid Infrastructure. Doing so, we cascade personalized Demo of ManageEngine OpManager ensuring it caters to client requirements. Internally, we use ManageEngine OpManager to monitor our Hybrid Infrastructure wherein 3D NOC Dashboard proactively alerts us of potential faults in Servers, Networks, and even Applications. ManageEngine OpManager is quite flexible, giving our clients the flexibility to pick and choose Infrastructure monitoring modules per their unique requirements such as capturing errors/metrics for Network bandwidth, IPAM/SPM, or APM. At the same time, the Unified console offers end-to-end visibility on the entire Infrastructure. OpManager with its strong product roadmap, continual enrichment since the past decade, Simplified UI i.e. easily navigable has gained client trust from across different geographies.
  • 3D NOC Dashboard gives granular visibility on Port in error, which saves Technician time prior to Onsite troubleshooting.
  • Separate modules such as Network Bandwidth, IPAM/SPM, APM, Server Monitoring can be opt-out Individually, huge cost saving for clients.
  • MSP version gives flexibility for Service providers, to offer Uninterrupted Infrastructure services across to their wide clientele.
  • A strong product roadmap has ensured ManageEngine OpManager is catering to unique client requirements from all geographies. We expect ManageEngine OpManager continue to do that.
Organizations are more wanting to have a Hybrid model, few organizations are moving to a 100% Cloud model. Doing so, Infrastructure monitoring i.e. ensuring Performance and Availability is catering to Internal/External client SLA is the utmost priority. OpManager captures Performance and Availability regardless of Hybrid and/or Cloud.

ManageEngine OpManager is being used as full fledged tool for infrastructure fault and performance monitoring , infrastructure that is included here is Networks (LAN, WAN), Servers, Virtual Appliances etc. ManageEngine is the centralized tool for monitoring, alerting and reporting. • Services and other application related components monitoring
  • Alerting, Reporting
  • Scalability Options

  • More out of the integrations with 3rd party tools
There were some market leader monitoring products [until] this year which were hard to replace due to their customer base even when ManageEngine had equivalent capability similar to other vendor products but still ManageEngine was not the top. I think its time ManageEngine [OpManager] can become number 1 monitoring choice as a replacement of existing market leader tool due to following reasons -
1. Powerful capabilities.
2. Same Licensing Cost.
3. Product maturity

We use only it at the headquarters and one remote office (site to site VPN). We do not use it at other locations because we don't have VPNs to those sites and we don't want this information to travel over the Internet.
We use it to:
  • Monitor assets and services health including VMs, ESX hosts, switches, firewalls, access points, UPS, VPN and Internet bandwidth usage, site temperature, deupoint and humidity, water leaks.
  • Syslog and SNMP
  • Device configuration backups on a daily basis (NCM module)
  • IP address management (IPAM module)
  • Email alerts
  • ManageEngine Service Desk integration for automatic ticket logging.
We created some dashboards and NOC views and installed a couple of big screens on the wall so we can easily see alarms and notifications. We also use the mobile app.
  • You can easily create custom dashboards.
  • Very intuitive and easy to use.
  • All in one solution: monitoring, backup configuration, notifications, ipam.
  • They do not have a sensor for Azure or AWS metrics.
  • At first, you will get a lot of alarms, you have to fine-tune settings and thresholds and it could be a time-consuming process.
Great for managing infrastructure on the same LAN. Does not work to monitor Azure/AWS metrics.
