We use ManageWP in our website development and support department. It is used to make updates to client websites that are on one of our website care plans, it manages the updates, checks for website vulnerabilities, alerts the team to any security or downtime, monitors the performance of the clients' websites, and also allows us to easily send monthly reports to all clients.
  • automates reports
  • alerts to website downtime
  • alerts to website security issues
  • has an affordable and custom price plan
  • More customizable reports would be nice
  • The downtime alerts are not always accurate
  • More information about website security flaws
It is well suited to anyone that has a Wordpress website, whether it be an individual or a company managing multiple clients sites, its an easy way to manage, maintain and keep your website running smoothly and secure.

We use ManageWP as a simple dashboard to oversee all our companies websites. Currently it is only being used by our web development department as an easy interface to login to our websites (as it bypasses 2FA requirements), update our websites plugins & themes, and watch or any issues on our sites.
  • Managed Wordpress Updates - ManageWP allows you to update all out-of-date themes, plugins and core files on all your websites with the click of a button.
  • Automated Backups - ManageWP allows users to setup an automated schedule of backups (including free monthly backups).
  • Maintenance & Development Mode - ManageWP allows users to place a specific site into Maintenance or Development Mode, allowing them to block users from accessing the site with a click of a button.
  • Client Access - ManageWP advertises "Client Access" for web developers, however this feature does not seem to work as expected. Instead of allowing clients to access the site via ManageWP, it simply groups sites into a folder with the client's name.
ManageWP is well suited for anyone who manages websites and is tired of manually logging into multiple sites to perform updates. It provides a simple dashboard to review sites, see any issues, perform backups, check your site security (and review past checks), check our site performance (and review past checks), monitor uptime (paid) and more.

ManageWP is not required if you only manage a single website, however it still simplifies the update process for single-site admins.

I use it to manage all of the websites that I administer. It makes it quick and easy to update plugins and themes, and to backup websites. I also use it to log in to individual sites. It saves me a lot of time since I manage 10+ websites (mostly for non-profits).
  • Saves time
  • It works well
  • Support is good
  • It is secure
  • There was one instance where someone on support was not using good security practice.
If you are managing more than 5 WordPress sites, it is totally worth it. Some of the addons or paid versions are great if you are using them professionally.

I'm using ManageWP to hold all client websites under one management platform to backup, restore, install, and update. It has been invaluable in migrating websites from one host to another, by having a backup and then restoring it somewhere else. It is also instrumental in keeping the websites up to date (and plugins).
  • Backing up the websites.
  • Updating websites and plugins.
  • Restoring or migrating websites to new hosts.
  • Better handling of changing restore targets.
  • Better reporting.
It's great for having a birds-eye view of the entire account. All websites, no matter what hosts they are, are grouped by clients. I love having grouping and collective updating.

We develop websites and our clients trust their websites for regular maintenance. ManageWP helps a lot to keep the information structured. Of course, we still review every website manually to make sure everything works perfectly, but it would take much longer without ManageWP awesome features! We love it and will use it for sure!
  • Safe Updates with the Premium Backups feature
  • Security checks
  • Performance checks
  • Reports
  • Notifications can be more detailed.
If you maintain WordPress websites, ManageWP is a must. We at Belov Digital Agency can't live without it as we have tens of WordPress websites on maintenance!

We use ManageWP to keep client websites updated to the latest versions of plugins that are applicable. We've also used downtime monitoring, performance and security modules. In addition, we've set up ManageWP to send automatic monthly reports to our clients with custom templates on a monthly basis so that our clients know what we are doing to keep their websites in tip top condition.
  • Updating plugins.
  • Optimizing posts databases.
  • The reports could be prettier, more templates in order to avoid having to customize for each client so heavily.
  • It would be nice to see if recommended plugin updates are actually production and not beta versions.
ManageWP is very well suited for anyone or any agency that manages multiple websites for clients (or themselves) and wants a simple but very effective method of keeping plugins and themes updated. You are able to tweak the settings so that all or some of the plugins are updated automatically or do it manually in batch or one by one to make sure things work as well after an update as before.

Our agency builds and manages dozens of WordPress websites and we were looking for a tool to help us more easily manage those sites. Specifically keeping up with plugin updates and WordPress core updates had been a challenge. It was very time consuming to have to login to so many websites and keep tracking of those individual sites separately. Additionally, we were using a number of disparate tools to handle things like incremental site backups and uptime monitoring which just added to the difficulty. We found ManagerWP and were blown aways by the comprehensive nature of the solution and the ease in which we can update and deploy plugins, updated WordPress core, translations and site backups all with the click of a button. Our development team uses ManageWP to keep our clients' sites up-to-date, backed up nightly and performing at their highest. It saves us considerable time and has made our hosting and maintenance plans more profitable.
  • Update, install, delete, activate, deactivate plugins across many websites, all with the click of a button
  • Manage nightly incremental backups and easily handle rollbacks to previous versions
  • Keep tabs on all our websites and needed updates, all in one convenient tool
  • When you have many updates going at the same time, you often have to refresh and/or log back in to the console to the status. The updates go through, but the console doesn't update automatically when you have many updates happening.
  • It would be nice to deploy plugins directly from ManageWP. You have to have a plugin installed on at least one site in order to deploy it on others.
  • The reporting functionality could be better.
If you are a WordPress development shop, or host a number of WordPress websites, this is for you. Even if you only have one website but are looking for an easy way to make updates, schedule backups and keep track of the maintenance of your site, this would be a great tool. The cost is reasonable and it saves time, while adding peace of mind with "Safe" updates.

We use ManageWP to monitor, backup, manage and update our client websites. ManageWP simplifies so many critical tasks and services into one convenient package, saving time, money and energy. It allows us to keep our managed WordPress sites backed up. up to date, secure and optimized with automatically or with just the click of a button.
  • ManageWP consolidates important WordPress site management services into on dashboard.
  • ManageWP makes backing up, cloning, and restoring websites so easy.
  • ManageWP provides a simple, easy to use interface.
  • ManageWP could provide better support for WordPress Multisite with the ability to more easily manage individual Multisite properties.
  • ManageWP's security scan offering would be much more valuable if it allowed proactive measures to preemptively combat issues,
ManageWP is a well-suited offering for anyone who manages multiple WordPress properties. It provides peace of mind, dramatic time saving and a bird's-eye look at all of your websites. It might be a bit cost prohibitive for single site users or static websites that don't need constant backups or uptime monitoring.

Our web agency uses ManageWP to keep hundreds of client sites up to date, healthy, and secure. We use it to monitor performance in terms of site speed and SEO, and we use it to send a monthly report to our clients so they can have a beautiful visual of how their site is doing, and how we are serving them in the background in what would otherwise be a silent way.
  • Lets us see the health and status of all our WordPress sites at a glance
  • Makes us aware of any performance and uptime problems, as well as any security threats
  • Provides an easy-to-use mechanism to update hundreds of plugins with just a few clicks
  • Provides frequent backups with one-click restore points.
  • Many times ManageWP "feels" slow to me. I believe this to be unavoidable given the fact that it is actively monitoring the status of dozens of parts on hundreds of sites, but the experience still feels slow and sometimes I wonder whether it is working.
If you are responsible for the maintenance of multiple WordPress sites, a tool like ManageWP is absolutely essential for productivity. And ManageWP is the best in its class. There is no way we could efficiently stay on top of the constant plugin and platform updates, nor have any confidence about the security of our sites at any given moment without it.

We currently use ManageWP to manage all of our WP sites for clients. Using ManageWP really streamlines managing multiple installations of WordPress. With the constant updates of plugins and security patches we can update 50+ sites with a single click. Also, if you happen to host with GoDaddy or a GoDaddy owned hosting company you get access to the premium features for free.
  • Manage multiple WordPress installations. We currently manage 50 WordPress installations with ease and I'm confident that we could add another couple hundred without a problem.
  • Manage updates and plugins easily through their admin portal. You can simply click a button and apply ALL updates across all sites or you can cherry pick them as needed.
  • Managing users has never been simpler using ManageWP. Simply click the website -> Users -> And add your users.
  • As with all management consoles sometime too many things is a bad thing which seems that ManageWP is keeping in check but they are always adding something new. Sometimes we don't need to create an answer for a non-existing problem.
  • There does not seem to be to many options outside of just plugins and updates that you can do on a global level. Example: If I want to add/remove a user to all sites I haven't found that feature.
  • No templating when creating new sites. It would be nice if you could setup a template (users, settings, backup, etc..) and then select that template when creating the new site and those settings would be applied.
I personally think that if you have a single WP installation it's worth checking out. ManageWP and seriously streamlined our management of WordPress installations and honestly I'm not sure what I would do if I had to go back to managing sites one by one. There is no scenario that ManageWP would not work in, from 1-100 sites I think ManageWP would fit the bill (both figuratively and literally). Try the free version to start you have nothing to lose.
