It is well suited for filtering out your customers from a CRM database, which can contain several hundred thousand people. It has the ability to filter down to an exact single person. You can filter or segment by a group of people. Customize communication to those people. Make one-on-one emails with tokens, the ability to tokenize and basically gives the non-technical design people the ability to make decent-looking emails without having in-depth knowledge of other Adobe products that designers would have.

I'd say it's less appropriate for people that are just sending straight emails and just doing something that a more simpler solution could accommodate. But it's definitely more suited for a company like mine that has a lot of different business units that have a lot of different use cases so different ways of sending emails, different types of emails. We also have a lot of data that we collect on all of our audiences, so being able to house all of that data and being able to have a bunch of business units that're doing very different things is something that Marketo really accommodates.

It's definitely suited for a large-scale company with a lot of databases, but then in the past, I've seen smaller companies trying to use it, but they cannot. I would say, having a good Marketo, not an expert, but at least a functioning person, somebody who has Marketo experience definitely makes sense to have it with a company who has a Marketo expert in-house. That makes a really big difference. But then if you really go for consultancy and all of that, then you do not have the complete views of Marketo.

Marketo excels when you have a team of at least 3-4 employees to run it. It takes a lot of work to set it up and make sure everything is running smoothly. Marketo is a must if you are trying to set up complicated nurture drips. You can pretty much set up anything you can imagine.

Any situation where marketing automation or highly advanced email capabilities are needed is a perfect fit for Marketo's tools. They are likely the best Enterprise MA platform available today. Marketo is easy to integrate with other systems such as our Salesforce CRM and ERP platform and the reporting and lead scoring capabilities are very robust.

Scoring and lead engagement have been the best scenarios to use Adobe Marketo Engage. Database management, event management, dynamic templates are more likely. Landing page and email template flexibility and gives out good reports. Attribution is something that is less appropriate to be used independently. Named Accounts has lots of scope of improvement.

This is a platform for someone to build marketing material by compiling their assets into finished product to send to their end users, with the goal of improving overall company engagement

I have found Marketo Engage is best for one to many communications to large lists. If you do not have established marketing practices and a large list size, it may not be the right fit for you. If you do have a large list size and ample marketing team, it is an excellent way to reach those folks in an impactful (and measurable) way.

This product is well suited for Enterprises [that] deal heavily in email marketing, lead management, and ranking. You can build a well-suited nurture campaign and emphasis more on custom rules as compared to other MAP. On the other hand, don't expect a great social media integration and its analytics.

The solution plays well with CRM integration, since you'll be using this data to personalize and enrich client's experience. Wether you're sending emails, publishing landing pages, doing lead scoring or even track some behaviors in an external page, Marketo has it all!
One think worth noting is that, for some use cases, you're going to need basic web development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

Marketo is best in class. Many Marketing Automation Platforms (MAPs) focus on ease of use. That's great, except it usually means you give up the ability to truly customize the program to fit your specific needs.
If you need to customize your buyer's journey, create specific scoring, be able to trigger off of almost anything that you create, and be able to seamlessly integrate with your CRM, Marketo is the best tool.

This is well-suited for a very large company with multiple brands or campaign needs. It's extremely robust and wouldn't really be necessary for a small to medium sized company.

It has really sophisticated email features, suitable for businesses with complex and targeted email campaigns.

I would recommend Marketo Engage to all the people out there who're looking for an enterprise-grade marketing automation platform for not only just email marketing but creating buyer journeys, integrating with sales platforms, and doing event marketing. Marketo is a great package as it supports all the channels, and it is highly customizable as per the needs of the business. Although it is primarily built in keeping B2B companies' marketing needs in mind, but it supports B2C use cases as well.

I would recommend Marketo Engage to anyone looking for a marketing automation platform that is highly customizable, scalable, and reliable. The product has a bit of a steep learning curve, but once people get to know your way around the product and different features, I’m sure they will appreciate the depth and capabilities of the Marketo. Marketo is very well suited for email marketing, comprehensive lead management, tracking, customizing marketing setup, and integrating with the CRM for closed loop marketing and sales reporting.

Marketo is well-suited as a marketing automation platform for email campaigns, SFDC integration, and lead automation. It's easy to launch emails, landing pages, and forms through Marketo. However, for analytics and advertising campaigns, it could be better. We utilize 3rd party integration platforms like Zapier to connect Marketo to Linkedin Lead gen forms as we need to insert business logic prior to lead gen form data flowing through to Marketo.
