What is Adobe Marketo Engage?

Adobe Marketo Engage, from Adobe since 2018, aims to help marketing teams drive demand and growth in their companies by delivering exceptional experiences in concert with sales at every stage of the customer journey.

The challenge these teams face is that everyone today expects a personalized experience whenever they interact with a company - they don’t have patience for generic marketing and the last thing they want is a cold call from sales. So to stay competitive, marketing teams are scrambling to understand customers better, so they can give them a better experience, because this is disrupting entire industries. And a big part of what’s needed is figuring out how marketing and sales can do a better job together.

Adobe Marketo Engage aims to redefine Marketing Automation by helping these companies bring together the customer data, content, automation and analytics needed for marketing and sales to coordinate engagement with customers that’s personalized and measurable at every touchpoint - and do it with efficiency and scale.

Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

Marketo is the Cadillac of marketing automation tools for me, I learned the most on it and it's pretty advanced compared to other tools. I like the tokens, the community, the support it feels very best in class and that all the work I did is already in the system is helpful.

Marketo is all around more capable of scaling with your company. It has better processing power, more capabilities, and gets more complex as you get more complex with campaign strategies to micro target your audience. Marketo is also the best at operational excellence. It's not just about getting an email out, it supports you to implement lead & data management throughout your company & sales lifecycle.

One stop shop for all campaigns/program, I'd used Hubspot and things were stored in different places and its a mess finding and linking assets you create, while you can keep all of them under your program and store global assets/list under Design studio and Database but the rest can be done easily under Marketing Activities

Hard to say because it seems that the industry are pretty much normalised in term of features and capacities. The main differentiators can be price if the company is able to reduce (and maintain) the lead base to the minimum possible.

From other demos and use of Email Service Providers, Marketo's workflow and nurture options are far more powerful and easy to use than HubSpot or Pardot. The marketer has much more control on how and when things occur, along with clearer Automation.

Marketo has a powerful lead lifecycle funnel system, but it does require a lot of thought and setup to provide the funnel transparency the CMO wants.

Marketo has a tighter and faster integration with SFDC. Marketo has extreme capabilities when it comes to how to run and trigger actions you want it to take. Marketo has a great community and great users that collaborate and network. Marketo support is also pretty good (most of the time). Marketo has a long list of partners and plug-ins as well. Lastly, their API capabilities have improved over the years (and looking forward to more improvements to come)!

Marketo does campaign execution better than other systems. It is compartmentalized in a way that helps creative minds drive down to execution in a process-oriented way. Reporting is also a key differentiator, it allows insights that are actionable.

To be honest, my knowledge of other marketing automation software is a bit outdated, since I have exclusively used Marketo for the past 3 years. However, Marketo definitely has an advantage as a market leader when it comes to third party solutions. As our team and company has expanded, we have needed to add additional tools to manage specific initiatives like events or paid advertising or business intelligence, but we have always been able to find top-of-the-line solutions that integrate with Marketo and allow us to keep our tracking and reporting intact.

Marketo offers a better user experience and a larger library of reporting than any other marketing automation software I have used. The ability to identify each action and the paths and workflows for a single contact or company is important and a key reason why we continue with Marketo today.
