What is Adobe Marketo Engage?

Adobe Marketo Engage, from Adobe since 2018, aims to help marketing teams drive demand and growth in their companies by delivering exceptional experiences in concert with sales at every stage of the customer journey.

The challenge these teams face is that everyone today expects a personalized experience whenever they interact with a company - they don’t have patience for generic marketing and the last thing they want is a cold call from sales. So to stay competitive, marketing teams are scrambling to understand customers better, so they can give them a better experience, because this is disrupting entire industries. And a big part of what’s needed is figuring out how marketing and sales can do a better job together.

Adobe Marketo Engage aims to redefine Marketing Automation by helping these companies bring together the customer data, content, automation and analytics needed for marketing and sales to coordinate engagement with customers that’s personalized and measurable at every touchpoint - and do it with efficiency and scale.

Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

I use forms for all programs. I wish they had more functionality for styling and for mass pasting form field outputs. I also can't embed and have it recognized in a outside landing page which is frustrating but we have work around.

We use forms to allow customers and leads to sign up for events and download content. With those forms we are able to gain more demographic and firmographic information for our database.

I use forms embed in custom landing pages. The forms itself are reliable in the sense that the campaigns will run with each of form submissions and that never failed. Sometimes the name of the form fields are not completely intuitive, especially if the company has setup custom fields with very similar names.

The standard form is easy to use, but more often that not we needed to embed additional tracking variables and logic that wasn't innately supported by Marketo. So instead we created essentially custom forms, that would also send data to the same endpoints that marketo's form would to replicate the same behavior while also accounting for the custom tracking.

Forms 2.0 are very easy. Very reliable. Largely block spam attempts as well for most B2B firms.
Forms allow us to scale quickly with standard fields and look and feel and then drop them in. We can change a form once across dozens of pages in many cases.

Adding hidden fields is a must for tracking lead source or unique situations.

The form capabilities are much like any other automation system. It is super quick and easy to set up, does not take much training to do so. You can use forms in your landing pages. We always use marketo forms for demo pages, event registrations, downloads of content. Forms have captured valuable leads for us.

We use forms for registrations, asset downloads, offering inquiries, and more. The forms are incredibly easy to set up and maintain. We have seen a larger engagement with our content and requests for contact since using Marketo forms. We plan to expand their use to our full website and not just on landing pages.

We have an extensive form library and use Marketo forms in many different ways. They are really simple to build and set up. The ability to pull url UTM parameters is super simple and slick. We also limit the number of forms used so we don't get into the mess of having to manage hundreds of forms.

Forms are pretty easy to set up and Marketo documentation is straightforward on how they work. I feel that they are reliable and have not had many problems with them. I do not think they differ much from other marketing automation offerings though. No complaints!

We do use the Marketo forms, and while they are very easy to setup, if you want to customize their appearance beyond the basics that Marketo allows, then you'll need to have someone on your team that knows HTML/CSS.

We have used the forms in Marketo, but we have found limitations where we would like to customize the look and feel of a form. We do have the ability to insert our own javascript so that is a plus, but Marketo's forms feel a bit lack-luster when it comes to customization and being dynamic.

We utilize custom lead forms using the audience module. The forms are used to capture user information. The data is used to help us customize future communications. We've seen positive results from using forms.

Forms are easy to set up for the most part, but the challenge is when you want to make a more complicated form in Marketo which requires some programming knowledge. Fortunately, we have a development team that assists with this, but if you don’t then you will be limited to just the basic form builder. We house most of our finance forms as well as order request forms for our clients and so some of those have needed additional options that were just not available in the simple form builder.
