We are a private university and we primarily use Marketo as a means to reach out to prospective students who have recently inquired about enrolling with us, as well as students who reached out to us at one point but we have not heard from for a while.

However, we make Marketo templates available in Salesforce and therefore, allow our sales team to also leverage these emails via the integration in SFDC. This allows sales to have a greater outreach, while still staying CAN-SPAM compliant.
