  • Employee efficiency is something I believe that Marketo has helped in a positive way. While Marketo has not freed up employee salary, it has given more time to work to increase conversations through A/B/ testing, etc.
  • Automation of transactional emails has produced better communication through customer service.

  • Before Marketo we could only guess at how online advertising was performing. We had no value attributed to what our website was bringing in as revenue. And, simply, we didn't know anything about our goldmine database. Now, we can answer all these questions. Our website brings in millions of dollars of revenue each year, and we use this information to get more budget each fiscal year.
  • Our marketing team are rockstars with Marketo. We are now perceived as marketing geniuses by our company because we can tie revenue to the activities that we're doing.
  • We put in place SLAs between sales and marketing because suddenly we could rate our leads A, B, C and ask sales to only follow up on the most qualified leads.

  • We've increased the content in our email streams by over 100% in our first year because it's so much more efficient and easier to manage than our old system.
  • Our messages are much more relevant than previous years because we're able to segment audiences so much more effectively. We've been able to set a new, faster, goal for lead conversion and we're on track to meet it.
  • After our web designer created templates, we were able to easily build and customize assets on the fly, rather than scheduling projects and waiting weeks to get them done.

  • The first impact was the ability for us to truly reach our entire lead database through email marketing and be more efficient with real-time, bi-directional integration with Salesforce.
  • Even less than a month of using Marketo, we already exceeded our quarterly goal for engagement with our lead database, by being able to reach a wider audience and track their engagement across all programs.
  • Increased sales team efficiency by having the tools in place for marketing to support more nurturing and allowing the sales team to focus on opportunity development.

  • We've definitely seen an increase in the number of leads we are able to gather.
  • With the use of cloning, our 4 person team was able to crank out 24 webinars in 4 months. This included 1-2 invites, reminders, confirmations, 2 follow-up emails (no shows & attendees) and two landing pages with custom graphics.
  • The negative impact was that it highlighted the inaccuracies and inconsistencies of the previous marketing team's use of Salesforce. We noticed that many people believed only the lead object was in use by Marketing which was not true. That being said, this has provided us with an opportunity to start fresh and really show our Sales team and other key stakeholders that we can provide good quality leads through the use of lead scoring.
