We use Marketo to send information to our customers and prospects regarding the services we offer, new tools we develop to save time and resources and communicate case studies to make customers consider alternative ways of handling the complex jobs we deal with. Marketo is effective at helping us communicate these objectives and get us visibility into how that outreach is being received by customers.

The great thing about Marketo is that it allows us to automate all marketing communication. Based on the class and the target examination of each student, we create multiple user journey and segments. Marketo Engage creates the program without any error and the campaigns are executed efficiently.

Marketo Engage helps us cross-sell our products to our current customers. We do this by targeting specific audience lists, enrolling customers in nurture campaigns, and sending out a monthly newsletter to our customer database. The ease of organization in Marketo helps keep all these different campaigns and audience lists separate, and makes it easy for us to revisit past campaigns and resend to new lists or make small changes to emails.

The outcome is creating more engagement with customers, onboarding them, let them of news about the company. We also use it to prospect, invite people to webinars, or access whitepapers or case studies. We also automate communications to sales about new leads that come into the database that are under their key accounts.

For us, we work with profiles built out of Salesforce to enhance targeting. We can build Smart Lists in Marketo to target folks. I would say that we work on equal parts awareness as well as driving upsell/cross-sell opportunities. We are increasingly looking at our ability to target new marketing and build programs within Marketo that act as funnels to shift an MQL to an SQL.

Our main use case for [Adobe] Marketo [Engage] is to capture the leads early in the buying cycle and keep them interested over the long term by sending them automated email chains (drip nurtures) with personalized content (by industry, job type, language). We also score leads based on their activities and supply them to salespeople. For this purpose, we've received positive reviews. Also, we're upselling to current customers based on their interests using the same technique. It also worked well, based on [the] specifics of our products.

The sole purpose of our Marketo instance, aside from data synchronization across multiple platforms, is to increase the transparency into inbound lead generation. Lead records are displayed in a clean and efficient manner with all relevant information readily accessible for consumption by all teams at our organization. One of the key features of Marketo is the option to reference historical changes in data on a user profile. This enables teams to effectively track the progression of a user's journey, updates in preferences, etc.
